We live in the area. Met Dana on our first visit. He was super knowledgable. Answered all of our questions about skis, boots, backcountry set ups. Bought demo set good deal. Helped me fix a boot issue I have that no one else had any ideas how to fix at other places for me. He also tweaked a «hooky» ski for me with a quick fix on the edges. Aaron hooked us up at checkout too. We will be back. Real ski guys not just Ta-​bros.

I was 6th in line to rent skis and it took over an hour. Incredibly slow… I’ve been in and out of other ski rental businesses in 20 minutes or less.

Heavenly sports is located right next to the gondola at heavenly. Unfortunately the convenience ends there. My girlfriend and I thought we would save some time by renting at the ski shop adjacent to the gondola. Sure it might be a few dollars more for the convenience. What we didn’t expect was waiting an hour longer than our friends who had slept in 1.5 hours more and gone to a ski shop 50 feet away. While everyone we interacted with was quite friendly management needs to take a strong look at how they service clientele. It basically cost us half of a day skiing read:$ 60. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else.

Five-​star service!
We rented out ski package from Heavenly Sports. It’s super convenient as they have rental posts inside several hotels. You can valet your skis at this location by the Gondola at the end of the day.
I had trouble with my boots the first day, stop in to swap them out — The staff was extremely friendly and thorough to make sure I was happy with what I got.
The lines can get awfully long at the beginning and the end of the day, but they have an army of staff onsite to move things along quickly.

I walked into Heavenly Sports after a painful day of skiing at Kirkwood in boots that I had bought somewhere else. I asked Dana if he could help me improve the fit as I had serious pain over my left instep. He worked on my boot for about 45 minutes and dramatically improved it. There is no question that I will come see him when it’s time for new boots.

A couple of years ago, I bought a Tahoe hoodie and Heavenly-​branded child’s snow pants here but they don’t carry kids sweatshirts or ski jackets anymore. (The prices remain high for souvenir shirts.) Large selection of snow socks. More logo apparel is at the Gondola location. Over half the store is now for rentals.

I’ve tried on 15 different boots in 3 different towns, and it wasn’t until I walked into heavenly sports on a busy holiday weekend that I ended up buying a pair. The timing would have been a nightmare for any other store, but not this one.
The customer service and boot fitting from their resident expert, Dana, was the perfect combination of technical boot knowledge and patience which ended my yearly long search for performance and comfort. Instead of rushing me into a new boot, Dana tried to make the necessary adjustments to my 8 year old boots. Only after that, did I realize how badly I needed new boots and we were able to find a pair that’s comfortable and good looking to take for a spin on the mountain tomorrow.

Most convenient ski rental for Heavenly Gondola. Every employee was friendly and helpful, went out of their way to find the perfect boots and demo ski equipment for my husband and I. The valet option was perfect for overnight storage. The supervisor Maria Burtt was especially helpful since we were unsure of how many days rental due to weather conditions. Absolutely would recommend this store and plan to use again during our next trip in March 2016

Poor customer service. Someone mistakenly took my rental skis at the top of the mountain. I had to burn an hour of slope time to get it sorted and the manager was completely disinterested in my experience as a customer. The first words out of his mouth were to inform me that I would be responsible for the stolen gear if I didn’t find them. He lacked empathy for my situation and offered zero help. Otherwise fun day on the slopes tarnished by a lack of customer focus. Won’t return.

Really organized and right next to Marriott Timber lodge and 10 feet from the Gondola. Reserve your skis/​snowboards online, walk into the store and you’ll be out in 15 minutes. Make sure you pick up the night before so you don’t have to deal with the morning rush.

Heavenly Sports Marriott @ the Marriott is a busy store in the winter! They do lots of ski and snowboard rentals and are always super friendly and helpful. The are the most convenient place to rent equipment if you are planning on going up the Gondola, and Heavenly Ski School is right next door.
I rented demo skis from them this last season and was thrilled with the skis, they were responsive and current season equipment. They even had sizes for my 4 year old in boots and skis. They held the skis overnight for us so that we didn’t have to take them with us when we were done skiing for the day and held onto our shoes during the day so that we had something to change into after our day of skiing. Overall it was a good experience with them and I would recommend them to others.

We figured out on our way to the gondola that a binding was missing a screw. Stepped in here thinking they would suggest a new pair (yea right!) and they surprised us by offering to help Frankenstein it together. Super friendly and helpful.
When we randomly complained about where to afix our season passes, the woman behind the counter asked us to wait a moment and then she ran out the door. She came back with lanyards from the ticket house :)
They do get busy in here and the prices a good for renting, but not great for buying (location is right off the gondola, so go figure).
No doubt if we have questions or equipment emergencies we would step back into this nice lil place.

The location was really convenient to the Marriott where I was staying. It is also right in front of the gondola so no need to lug/​drag your equipment too far! It was easy to order beforehand to get a discount and they had it printed out for me when I got there. It was extremely busy and took me 30 minutes to get all my things while my friends waited. Don’t get your equipment the morning of if you can help it. The staff was friendly and helpful. If you stay at that hotel you can valet your skis/​boards there and they will do a touch up wax for free.
