I’ve seen this particular location shapeshift into many reincarnations and was hoping that Intramuros would be a permanent fixture here. It might have been overpriced Filipino food but the handful of times I’ve been I found it to be decent. The lounge was crackin’ the night I went to their karaōke night. Damn, RIP!

Naks naman! Easily, the nicest looking Filipino restaurant I’ve been to. There’s a grand piano in the middle of the dining room right below the GRANDEST chandelier in all of South City. I’m like expecting Barry Manilow, Michael Buble, and Rihanna or someone to come out and sing. The menu has all the classics and definitely more on the traditional side as opposed to Patio Filipino with it’s fusion food. Came for lunch, it was quiet with only 2 other groups, we ordered 3 things. 1. KARE-KARE $ 16 — Just ok. Just not enough meat to justify the price, three big oxtail pieces and 3 – 4 chunks of tripe. The sauce had the right consistency but was super bland. Even if I ate bagoong, not even a gallon of it could help.( ) 2. SISIG $ 12– Pretty good. Came to the table sizzling on a cast iron skillet; not sure which part of the pig they used though but it was pretty good. This version used a little more onions than usual. What’s different was that they buried the egg instead of cracking it tableside right on top of the pork to cook.( ) 3. INASAL $ 12 — Tender chunks of dark meat chicken marinated in this citrus, soy, garlic, ginger, vinegar, lemongrass, and annato oil mixture and then grilled. Pretty good. I’d order it again and might have to make my own version at home.(
