I have come here before but tonight was not a good experience. Service was poor. Had to send my steak back twice-first time it was dry, hard, and over cooked. The second time it was not done. On top of that, my waitress was not attentive. I had to ask for silverware, refills on my drinks, condiments, and never received napkins. Worst experience and I was still charged the full ticket price! Definitely will not return!

Mehhhh.
That’s truly my review of O’Charley’s in Southaven. I went with my boyfriend, and while he enjoyed himself very much (granted, he started the night off with one of their margaritas so his experience was a little tainted), I was underwhelmed. I ordered a combo appetizer to start, but it never came out, shifting right into our entrees. When I asked about the appetizer, I was asked in full seriousness if I even still wanted it.
If I even still wanted the appetizer I’d specifically ordered.
The night just became more «meh» from there, including the food. The pretzel burger I had was whatever. What I will give them points for is their bread and fries, which were both delicious but also not meant to replace the main meal.
I guess the point of my review is, if you’re gonna come here while a little tipsy, you might enjoy yourself + the food. Don’t come here sober though, or you’re in for a «meh» experience.

Been here twice now. Service is not good. Both times we’ve had to ask a server to wait on us. Servers are not friendly in the least. The food is OK, but not really worth the poor service, long wait times, and unclean restaurant. I wouldn’t bother and won’t be back.

Our waitress was great but that was all. I ordered the fish and chips (cod and fries) which had bones in it. Once sending it back and ordering a pretzel burger, they didn’t put it on a pretzel bun! And the second order took forever. My mom and husband’s steaks were over cooked for how they were ordered. It was not a pleasant experience and all I wanted to do after was go home because it was so frustrating!

Not only were we seated by the bus boy, but we were seated in a area where they still were cleaning preparing for dinner service (cleaning floors etc.) To top it all off it took them fifteen minutes to take our drink order. We waited another fifteen min. Still have not been greeted or met our server, order taken, nothing. Then five waitress walked past my party sat down in a booth in front if my party and began to converse. At this point my party decided to leave. I was met by the manager at the door who informed me that the reason for this incident was due to five changed to whom our server was supposed to be and this had happened to at least three other tables at that moment.
After we left my party of 5 went to a competitor next door. I enjoy the chain but management really needs to step it up on their organizational skills.

I’ll say this place is average, not spectacular, not bad. The wait was average, the service was average, and the atmosphere was average. My wife’s chicken tenders were the same old same old, the kids dinners were nothing to write home about. Now then, with all mediocre ness aside, my meal was pretty good. I had the Prime Rib Pasta. It had cheesy noodles, succulent mushrooms, slightly salty tender meat, and a touch of heat with the red pepper flakes. Let’s just say it was the star of the show for tonight. Not one of my favorite places, but I’ll come back for a change up from time to time.

I decided to go back one more time before I left Mississippi. U got the sirloin brunch platter. Everything on this was good except for the pre-made frozen pancakes which ruined it for me. The whole purpose for getting pancakes was the sweet contrast to complete the meal. The saving grace was the signature Tangerine grapefruit margarita.

Ok, although this place is a chain I can honestly say I wish we had one in Virginia Beach. The service was great, the server was very knowledgeable of the menu and was very helpful. The fresh strawberry lemonade is amazing as well.
I started with the cheese wedges. Instead of traditional mozzarella sticks or even asiago, they serve pepper jack wedges. Not bad but not great. I then ordered the Ceder Plank Salmon for dinner. It came with a soup or salad so I got the Clam Chowder. The chowder was delicious. Not fishy and had a hint of something different and I am thinking sherry. The salmon then came out and was a very large portion. It was almost twice the size I expected. It was cooked perfectly. The steamed broccoli also cooked perfect.
I had no time for dessert but if the desserts are as good as the entrée’s are then I have no doubt I would enjoy them.
