Better Balance Pharmacy

I already had a compound pharmacy I’d been using for years, but thought I’d give Better Balanced a try since it’s closer to me. When I called Better Balance to try and get a compound prescription, they told me they won’t go through my insurance because insurance usually doesn’t pay for it. I read on the other reviews how helpful they were in working with the insurance to get them to pay for the prescription. That sure wasn’t the case for me. Better Balance didn’t even try to call to see if they would pay for it. I questioned her to make sure I heard correctly. I couldn’t believe they wouldn’t even call and try to see if they would pay for the medicine. I didn’t find them to be friendly or helpful at all. Needless to say I went back to my other pharmacy. They believe in customer service. I would give Better Balance a NO STAR rating if it was offered.

This pharmacy is not open on Saturday anymore.
Marcia and Tina do a great job running this pharmacy. Even though it is a million miles from my home, they are the only pharmacy that carries a non-​generic medication I take.
They are very friendly, but I hope they are able to re-​open on Saturdays again.

Tina and Marcia are absolutely wonderful to work with. A friend recommended Better Balance on Facebook and several others chimed in with good feedback so when I needed a compounded prescription, I called them. There were several days of back and forth between the pharmacy, the doctor, and my insurance but Tina was persistent and got it resolved. I do know this took her a lot of time, even outside of regular pharmacy hours, and several phone calls. She then stayed late to fill the prescription because she knew I had been in pain.
When my husband picked up the prescription, she was very careful to show him exactly how to dispense the medicine and even provided some free gloves for him to apply it on my back.
With each call, both Tina and Marcia were patient and considerate and seemed very concerned with getting some relief to me. I highly recommend them for regular or compounded prescriptions. I doubt you’ll find more personal service.
