First off. Seriously not a chain restaurant person. Secondly, if it doesn’t have 4 stars, I’m a skeptic and not likely to give it chance. HOWEVER, we happened up this little place and(surprise!) really enjoy it. The food options are good and healthy. They make accommodations too(no butter, light dressing, grilled without extra oil…). Tuesday night date night specials are INCREDIBLE — very nice options(salad, entre with 2 sides and dessert) with great pricing. Even the happy hour house merlot($ 3.50) is decent and the pour isn’t wimpy. I ordered the tuna off of the date night menu this time. Seared. And I’m a bit picky. I like my tuna fat and seared — and it really was, both. I couldn’t believe it for the price(and, honestly, a chain). A final note, our server Nam has been wonderful both times we’ve been here. She’s quick, friendly and knows her stuff. Seriously recommend giving this place a chance.

I’ve eaten here twice and had excellent food and excellent service both times. In my opinion it is the nicest restaurant in the WestEnd and you will get the most value for your money.

Have my favorites. Tuna.bangbang and the trust martini. Can’t go wrong. So convenient. after or before movie time. Have to say the tuna was exceptional this evening.

Excellent experience! I had the pork chop, au gratin potatoes and green beans. Reasonably priced. Great appetizer bread with pesto olive oil. Key lime pie was good. Only thing I wouldn’t order again was the non alcoholic berry drink for $ 3.50. It tasted like water downed cool-aid and was not refillable.

The Bonefish Grill is in the increasingly trendy and active West End in St. Louis Park. Once an area of new but vacant commercial buildings, there now is a critical mass of shops, apartments, a movie multiplex, bars and very good restaurants, one of which is the Bonefish. The lunch and dinner menus feature po boy sandwiches, burgers, steaks, chicken, chops and salads along with a small but delicious assortment of deserts. The four in our party each had different choices and all of us were very happy. There’s a kids menu, a gluten free menu and a full bar. The service was excellent early in the afternoon, after any lunch rush. Parking is a block away, free and in a covered garage. Price is moderate and reasonable.

My husband and I were refused service at the Bonefish today. We walked in at 2:00, the place wss mostly empty, and the host refused to seat us in the dining room. I truly don’t understand it — we were dressed appropriately, had not been drinking, were not rude. We are elderly, so maybe that was it. Mystifying

I came in here a little while ago and ordered calamari at the bar(like I often do when I am in the area), and was given uncooked calamari. It was disgusting, but what was even more disgusting was when the manager came over. He had the most rancid breath, and he was right in my face. Instead of eating, I left feeling like I wanted to throw up. Brush your teeth, use mouthwash, do something. That was absolutely disgusting.

We did the prix fixe menu on Tuesday and it was very well done, exceptionally competitive pricing. I had a really nice ahi tuna ‘bowl’ w avocado. Nice salad to start and a ridiculous brownie w whipped cream and ice cream for desert. Portion sizes were also healthy. Under $ 20. Could actually hear yourself enough to have a conversation and the service was also good.

Delicious food and drinks! Service is great! Was here for brunch with a friend and got the bang bang shrimp Benedict and the Georgia Peach Martini. I will likely return soon!

We went here with in few weeks after they opened as we frequent the icon theatre close by. Service and look of the place is definitely upscale. We ordered crab cakes, calamari, grilled trout and mahi mahi. All of them tasted ok nothing stood out to me. When thier best tasting dish was the side of crab fried rice, it says a lot about thier food. Drinks were definitely watered down. You can stop here once a while after a movie, if you don’t want to go some where else far front the theatre.

Dropped in for lunch. Excellent service, though the first thing they did, twice, was push their alcoholic beverages. Not at noon, thanks. But everything else was fine, and the coffee was good(and the waiter made me a cup to go, bringing two lids for me to choose from). I had two appetizers for a good-sized lunch: The Cerviche was excellent. The Bang Bang Shrimp was good, and came with a lot of shrimp. Both were a bit salty, as befitting appetizers, but tasty and sufficient for a meal. The waiter was knowledgeable and humorous without being obtrusive. Free parking in the movie theater lot, nearby. Good upscale shops in the area, so if you have $$ you can spend the afternoon. And if you don’t, you can go to Costco across the street.

We went here to celebrate my sons college graduation and it was fantastic. I had the seabass which was prepared perfectly and had great taste. We will be back.

Since most communities have independently-owned upscale restaurants, the reason for dining at an ‘upscale restaurant chain’ such as Bonefish Grill often eludes me. Nevertheless, we had a better-than-expected time dining here. The ambiance set a great tone and high expectations for the night. We kicked off with seasonal cocktails and I appreciated that the Grapefruit Basic Martini was ‘fresh and grapefruity.’ It featured the ‘bitter’ side of ‘bittersweet’ which really hit the spot after cookie-filled holidays. The meal began with fresh-based bread and seasoned dipping oil. It was tasty, but it wasn’t inhaled as quickly as the coconut Thai Shrimp appetizer we ordered. Both the Shrimp bisque and shrimp/scallop entrée impressed the ‘SeaFoodie’ in our group. I enjoyed the Sirloin and Crab Cake entrée. The crab cake was loaded with flaky crab meat and the sauce that accompanied it added flavor to the crab cake, my steak, and the bland crab-fried rice side dish. Service was excellent. When they brought the wrong taco entrée to a guest at our table, they replaced it quickly with an apology and a free dessert. Bonefish Grill doesn’t compare to the best high-end local restaurants, but the food and drinks are good — as are the prices. On Tuesday, they offer a variety of three-course dinner options for less than $ 20.

My boyfriend and I came here last night and had ourselves a very seafoodie Thursday whilst successfully avoiding Star Wars stampedes. First of all, the location is superb — lots of decorative street lighting, bright storefronts, and free parking ramps. It’s a nice city outside of the cities. We got to Bonefish around 7pm and were seated promptly by our friendly hostess. One thing that was a little different was that we got facetime with at least 3 difference servers during dinner, but at least it was efficient. Here’s a rundown of our orders: — Complimentary bread and herbed oil: SOGOOD. — Grapefruit martini(special): Order. Now. The fresh tart grapefruit was so refreshing with the basil. And vodka. Vodka good. — Ceviche: My boyfriend liked it. but I personally would not order it again. The shrimp and scallops were tiny and over-«cooked». I felt it was too watered down with other things like coconut and pineapples. — Bacon-blue arctic char(special): delicious! I loved the char… on the char. The filet was juicy and flavorful, as was the bacon + blue cheese + spinach topping. I got it with steamed broccoli and potatoes au gratin(basically the mac and cheese of taters) — Crab crusted roughy(special): I don’t think I’ve ever had roughy before, but eating it was anything but rough. The crust on it was thick and crunchy while the fish was soft and flaky; a very nice contrast. The crab on top was for reaaaal. We were fans of the service and ambiance, so we recommend you stopping in here to check out their specials, since that was mostly what we ordered. It made for a lovely date that was continued with me pointing out the 3,000 things I want at Anthropologie across the street.

If you are in the Minneapolis /Saint Paul metro area, you have, many, many, many options for food that are better. I’ve been to Bonefish once, in which the servers were not engaged in service, the food was– well, as one example, the mashed potatoes had the texture of those made from boxed flakes. .. the price is high for what you get. And, as I said, there are SOMANY(other, better, less-expensive-for-a-better-experience) amazing places to try in the metro area. I won’t be back.

My mom and I stopped in for lunch after shopping a bit in Westend. I have been in the service industry for 12 plus years and I eat out quite a bit, this was one of the best places I have happened upon. I ordered the baja fish tacos with fries and my mom ordered the BFG fish sandwich with coleslaw. Both were AMAZING! There was fish in each bite of the tacos and the mango-lime salsa was very well done. Even the fries, which I typically don’t eat much of, were perfectly salted and crispy. The fish in the sandwich was flakey and light and the bun to fish ratio was perfect! The coleslaw had an Asian tang to it. Our server, Kimberly was quick and very pleasant as well. I highly recommend Bonefish Grill!

I was introduced to Bonefish while living in Franklin, TN. I was curious what the west end location would be like. They are very different inside and atmosphere. The bang bang shrimp was delicious and an excellent deal when on happy hour. The drinks were good but on the pricey side but you have to realize where you are — very pretentious neighborhood of stores and eateries. Service was stellar – I would go back for certain and I like it much better than the Yard house and Crave which are in the same area.

First review of 2015!!! I don’t think I’m Bonefish’s target customer. 1. I don’t eat fish/seafood. 2. Venturing out to the suburbs isn’t something I do often. 3. Chain restaurants just aren’t my thang. So take all of this review with a HUGE grain of salt. All that being said, Bonefish was just fine for my family’s impromptu pre-holiday happy hour. They have decent drink specials, even if their beer list is less than impressive. Happy Hour munchies were GOOD(that sriracha chicken app — HIGHLY recommend) and I selfishly appreciated that they had a bunch non-seafood options. I don’t understand their pricing structure(i.e. pricing things at odd amounts — $ 9.10? $ 7.70? $ 16.20?) but that’s just more of an odd quirk than anything. It was solidly a-ok. Nothing special and I’m not going to write home about this one, but it served its purpose and I think I’d go back if someone else wanted to check it out.
