Tried it once and amazed people actually eat that crap they put on plates. I ordered three appetizers and couldn’t eat any, from the flatbread to the wings, the sushi — it is all cheap ingredients and dull tasting crap. The wine selection was pretty good and happy hour prices were reasonable. Our waiter Braun(sic), was terrible; he seemed confused all night and we had to flag him down a couple times to get his attention after long periods of absence. It was disappointing to say the least, I couldn’t find one thing I liked about the place.

Be ready to pay a delivery fee + a mandatory tip for delivery. Also they may charge your card months later without any warning or a simple phone call. Poor service– won’t use again

I love eating at this place! The food is just delicious! My favorite is the sushi;) just a bit more expensive than other sushi restaurant. I’ve also had the shrimp salad which is to die for! Customer service is also great! Unlike the MOA location, they actually listen to what you are requesting. It’s always so bubbly in this place I think that’s another reason why it’s so awesome. We will be back to try out other items soon!

Update: was contacted through Unilocal by someone at Crave saying they’d like to get in touch with me to make up for my disaster of a dining experience. I sent back my cell number and my email and said I’d be interested in hearing what they had to say. No one ever reached out! They screw up everything don’t waste your time or your money on this place.

This is like a fancy applebees. At least that is what it is becoming. I have eaten here several times over the last few years. Since they have made a change to their menu, it really feels like a bougie applesbees, nothing more really. The food quality is fine, but nothing to write home about and say it is the best meal ever. I miss their family style brunch. That was the BEST! Their breakfast entrees are mediocre at best, they are really missing the mark now on brunch. Their sushi is pretty forgettable. its not bad, but not high quality and definitely not worth what you pay for it. The rice is not packed in there very well. In terms of the service, even that has started to decrease. Is it better than like a perkins or applebees, absolutely, but it really isn’t anything super awesome amazing. The food is decent. I got the grass fed burger this last time, the jam that was on the burger wasn’t very flavorful, but the burger was cook well(even though i ordered medium and got no pink). The overall flavor of meat was ok. If you are looking to take a date someplace to impress them with food, this probably isn’t the place. If you are looking to take small town relatives someplace(you know the ones that think mcdonalds is fancy), then yeah go ahead this will impress them. But I think we will be seeing a decrease of this place as they have definitely peaked.

Bartender josh got the 5 stars. I normally don’t like chain restaurants, but I wanted a cocktail, dessert and something close by. Friday night, pretty busy, sat at the bar and immediately was greeted. Very friendly gave me recommendations on a drink/dessert and both tasted amazing. Chocolate martini and coconut cake– paired amazing together. The décor inside the restaurant was trendy, great music pumping out, very lively. I was amazed at how fast the bartenders worked together while providing great service. I highly recommend sitting at the bar for cocktails. Only downside is how expensive everything is– but hey-you’re in the west end. Also, the beef stroganoff is amazing!

I liked that this place has a late night happy hour: perfect when coming out from a movie. I had the lettuce wraps, tuna roll, and spicy salmon roll. Overall I would say the food was kind of, meh. The sushi was fine but it wasn’t earth shattering. I felt the lettuce wraps needed some type of dipping sauce but were good. I think for a couple or family who has someone who loves sushi and the other(s) don’t, this is a great concept. However I think because there is so much to offer and so much going on, nothing really stands out to me.

Typical crave with your standard menu, nice service, but little cramed for space, probably your last option in west end. Cocktails were so diluted

Very nice place and close to local shopping. We ate here for lunch on sat and happy hour prices so that was a huge plus. The menu is rather spendy for regular meals. Full bar for plenty of beverages. I had the spicy tuna roll and it was great. The pizzas where a little bland so won’t eat that again. The Cuban was a big hit with my buddy he enjoyed that alot. I would definitely come back again. They also have plenty of tvs so we stayed to watch sat football!!!

The place was packed, which for me indicates a gray place on a Wednesday night, but it is also in the thick of it, so it does have its perks. The lettuce wraps have an amazing flavor and are huge but had to be eaten with a knife and fork. The sauce is good too but dripped everywhere! I ordered the mascarpone stuffed chicken. I wasn’t expecting it to come out fried but was very glad to have ordered the extra veggies for it. It needed the lift as it is a seriously heavy dish. Good place… great menu variety. nice location.

Decided to try this place out tonight after receiving a coupon in the mail. I read the reviews first and they seem pretty mixed. I’ll start off by saying that our waitress was great. She kept our glasses full, checked in on us just enough but not too much and was very friendly. The entire atmosphere was very inviting. While all that is desirable, when I come to a restaurant I come to eat. If the food sucks, I don’t care how nice my waitress is or how clean they keep the restrooms(which I didn’t use so I can’t comment on anyway), I won’t be back. I started with an appetizer of chips, guac and pico. The guacamole and pico were awesome but about half the chips were stale enough that even a tablespoon of quac couldn’t mask it. For my entrée I ordered the Thai Curry Shrimp. The food didn’t take long to come out but that was about the only really great thing about the meal. The flavor was decent but it definitely lacked the«heat» you’d expect from a curry dish. The most disappointing part was that the rice was more than just a little bit undercooked. We decided to try desert and ordered the Tiramisu. The menu states that it’s an individual serving and they truly mean individual — it came in a shot glass. The portion size is irrelevant in this case; the desert itself was just bland. Overall Crave definitely isn’t the worst place I’ve been to. That being said, I’m not even sure that another coupon would be enough incentive for me to come back and try another dish.

CRAVE is CRAVE and it is a local chain. Honestly, they’re food and atmosphere are pretty good. Happy hour is not a bad deal, but be fore-warned their appetizers are a smaller size for their happy hour prices. Food: Godzilla roll — delicious Sushi bites — not a must(really just tastes like sushi rice roll in seaweed, dunked in tempura batter and deep-fried) Chicken avocado flatbread — pretty good, but not really cut well Bacon cheddar tater tots(homemade tots stuffed with goodness) — resembles risotto balls, but instead of rice, potato — delicious Sweet & sour shrimp — deep fried large shrimp with sweet chili sauce(pretty good) It’s always a good spot to hit up in the west end and they have a good patio. You can even sit inside and get outside air without getting hit by the full force of the sun. They’re pretty consistent across each location.

Driving by this CRAVE location, they had a massive banner outside advertising all-you-can-eat steak and crab on Sunday. So my friend and I came back on Sunday for this special. I had called earlier to find out more about this special, the person who answered the phone didn’t seem to know what was going on other than the special is on Sunday, I waited on the phone for a few minutes before he could tell me the special is on from 4pm to close. When we arrived at 7pm, only about 1⁄3 of the tables were filled and we were sat near the back of the restaurant by the windows. Our server John came to us within five minutes, to ask us if we had been to CRAVE before, I had before but not my friend. Our server continued to talk us through the entire menu. I found it a bit excessive. We ordered the Sunday special that is only available to this CRAVE location. A salad and dinner roll came first, then the steak and crab came served with mashed potato and half a corn cob. The ribeye steak was more medium than medium rare as I had requested, it was also much thinner than I’d like but besides that, it was juicy I was looking forward to subsequent orders. As we were about 2⁄3 way done our first plate, our server suggested we put in our next order, the both of us ordered just the crab. I think the point was by the time we finish the first plate, we wouldn’t have to wait long for our second order. But we waited. And waited. And waited. He checked on us twice and on the third time he checked on us while still waiting for our second order of crab, I suppose he finally went to check up on it because he came back with our crab in a few minutes. Apparently the order never showed up. Okay, sure. We ordered our final steak and crab legs as soon as our second order or crab legs arrived. The crab legs that arrived were boiling hot with tons of water on the plate. While their windows are slightly frosted, it doesn’t block out the sun, I had the sun in my face for half the meal as the sun was going down. So if you’re going for dinner, maybe you wouldn’t want to sit by the window because they don’t have blinds or curtains to block out the sun temporarily. The final plate came and the steak had a chewy, jelly texture to it, it was definitely not grilled. It was a messy meal because, well, how else are you supposed to enjoy crab legs? It would have been nice to have some moist towelette to clean off hands for eating steak from having just had crab, or even between servings. That way I wouldn’t have had to go to the restroom so many times, especially having it on the opposite end of the restaurant. Overall, food is mediocre and service was unacceptable, but atmosphere is nice though.

I began the night with high hopes for this establishment. I had heard that this particular location offered a Sunday special. All you can eat prime rib and crab for just $ 29.99 per person. Sounds like a great deal right? Let’s begin with where things started going downhill. We chose to be seated indoors to enjoy the air-conditioning since it was a warmer day, but our section seemed to be warmer than those around us. It wasn’t unbearable, but uncomfortable. The starter salad was ok, and then came our first round of steak and crab. The mashed potatoes were good, but the corn on the cob was a bit dried out. The steak was a bit on the smaller side, which wasn’t the issue. The meat had a rubbery texture to it. Sort of like someone had slightly boiled the meat to cook it, and then they finished it off on the grill to get some grill marks. The first set of snow crab legs was OK, but the subsequent two clusters were not the freshest. How could I tell? The crabmeat was sticking to the inside of the shell. Crabmeat will slide right out of the shell when it’s fresh. The next issue was the timing of the service. The waiter took our order for a new cluster of crabs shortly after delivering our first main dish. 15 min later, he stopped by asking if we needed anything else. We informed him that our second order of crab hadn’t arrived yet. He apologized and went to check on our order. 10 min later, he came to check how things were. We were still waiting for that first order to arrive. We finally got them 30 min after we had placed our initial offer. He stated that the ticket was missing and that’s why things were delayed. But wouldn’t he had known that information if he had actually checked on the order the first time he stopped by??? In the end, my first experience with this restaurant was quite disappointing. I may give them a second chance someday in the future… But it’s not going to be happening any time soon.

The chips and guacamole were pretty disappointing… The guacamole bowl had lettuce(filler) in the bottom, and the chip presentation was pretty weak. Hard to screw up the basics… Can’t wait to see the entrée

This place is pretty inside but the food is only okay. I have gotten the Mexican sushi roll a few times and it’s good but there’s a lot of rice and it doesn’t taste as fresh as sushi from Japanese restaurants or actual sushi places. It’s overpriced for the quality! There are a variety of items to choose from on the happy hour menu and the edamame is good but that’s pretty hard to screw up! The flat breads are only okay and lack unique flavors and their beef tacos are tasty but really greasy. It’s fun to come here for happy hour cocktails, the ambiance is nice and the food isn’t terrible so it’s still one of the places I occasionally hit up still.

So I usually wouldn’t give a chain five stars but Crave is different. I go to the MOA, Galleria and Downtown Crave locations but this is by far my favorite. First let me start with the décor, I love the design of this place. It it’s very modern, has high ceilings, an open kitchen, and some very interesting lighting fixtures. The staff is always very friendly and they’re all always fast and precise. Now let’s get to the good part, my god the food. I was a big fan of Crave before but I’m a bigger fan now. If you haven’t been here since September you must give it another try, they threw out almost everything on the old menu and reimagined most of the dishes, except for a few classics. Lets start with the appetizers. The crab artichoke dip is amazing, I won’t lie I have scraped the dish out with a piece of flat bread. Please humor me for a minute, the chicken strips are TODIEFOR. I know what you’re thinking, I sound like a child, but I’m not kidding. They’re more like mini chicken strips, and are coated in a sweet spicy sauce and come on a bed of sweet coconut milk dipping sauce. Now, onto entrees. I’m a big fan of their burgers and really enjoy the crave burger, and the bison burger. The sea bass is my favorite and comes with an avocado salsa and a pesto sauce, it has lots of different flavors that compliment each other nicely. I was most recently here on valentines day and had an amazing shrimp and salmon dish, it came with a mango salsa, red rice, and asparagus. I’m guessing it was a limited time thing but it was still great. Next desserts. They have many traditional deserts and they’re all great. Where they shine are the dessert miniatures, they come in an oversized shot glass so you can get a taste of many different things without the guilt. Last but certainly no where near least is their cocktails. Crave has a wide wine menu but their cocktails are where they shine. If you’re like me and love foofy cocktails, look no further. The Angry Dragon and Carve are both great. I am disappointed they got rid of the Sweet Heat but they replaced it with the Red Hot Passion, which doesn’t make your lips burn so that’s a plus. I love Crave, I’ve never had a bad experience here and I cannot recommend it more.

A larger more stylish version of the local chain located in the West End Shops with a lively happy hour crowd. I stopped in for dinner with a friend on a week night and this place seemed packed. Turns out the bar area was packed(the area you first see when you come in) but there were plenty of open booths and tables in the back part of the restaurant as we had a really early reservation time. One of things I like about crave is the variety of great appetizers. In fact I often will make my meal just that way.
