Great food and the owners are really nice. While I actually had the brisket sandwich(which was really good) they gave us a pork steak for free since we were new to the area and first timers. The pork steak was incredibly tender and tasted great. Definitely recommend Andre’s Ribs.

Returned here and was turned away due to lack of meat at 7:30pm on a Friday evening. One would think that was prime time to be stocked. Beware and call ahead if you’re planning on trying this establishment.

Like I always say, if I’m posting this on Unilocal then It’s 5 stars for me. I won’t post less than 4 stars and if I do it won’t be less than 1 star and that means it’s bad. Andre and Julie are the Bomb! As soon as I got there Andre had a smoked chicken wing in my mouth! And Dang! It was good! He’s got the rub down straight! You don’t need the sauce. But the got sauce if you can’t go without it. These two got big hearts that serve big portions which makes it an Awesome value. For all Hawaiians and Polynesians I’m making the shoutout to you. From one Poly to another I recommend you plan a stop for BBQ over here. You’ll love their hospitality! If you’re not Hawaiian it’s all Good! You’ll have a good time!

Ate lunch here while visiting St. Louis. The ribs were good tasting, they were a little dry. The mac and cheese, baked beans, and green beans were amazing! The people working were really friendly and had great personality. I was not a big fan of their sauces, I would prefer something sweeter.

I’m a BBQaholic. Stopped by for lunch today. Sampled: 1. pulled pork: outstanding; as good as I’ve ever had among the 300+ BBQ joints I’ve visited and I’ve been to many of the bigees; not greasy or stringy, just perfectly moist and flavorful; didn’t even need sauce. 2. pork steak: outstanding; as good as I’ve ever had — fork tender, great flavor and huge. 3. brisket: excellent; tender and JUICY with good smoke flavor. 4. baby back ribs: very good but I want to try them again in the future b/c although these were a tad dry other reviewers noted theirs were juicy; they were very tender and flavorful. The 3 sauces(hot, mild and Carolina) were all very good. Julie the co-owner and Dean the manager were nicer than nice. Great folks! I’ll be back. I’m dreaming of the pulled pork already.

Nice folks. I went with my great friend for lunch December 16. It was a Wednesday. .. when seniors and veterans get a discount. Senior, for Andre’s, means older than 50. Son of a buck. I qualify by a few years. I got a half rack of ribs, macaroni and cheese, and green beans. He got a pulled pork sandwich, green beans and baked beans. The ribs were fine. Not sauced, but rubbed, which is terrific in my book. But maybe a little dry. The green beans were fantastic and had somethin’ porky in ‘em, which works well. The macaroni and cheese was clumpy and seemed a day old. He LOVED his food. Well, all of it, but especially the baked beans. I took a couple sauces home to cogitate on the ribs, along with the green beans, and macaroni and cheese. It worked OK.

Wow, I can’t believe I just found this place today thanks to a co-worker. I finally found a BBQ place close by that not only has outstanding ribs but good tasting fresh sides. I got a half slab of baby back ribs with fresh home made mac and cheese and very flavorful green beans. It came with a soft fluffy biscuit. The ribs were so tender that when I tried to cut off the first small rib on the end, the bone came out and I had this thick, juicy piece of pork heaven. It’s a tiny little place between Lindell bank and Firestone on Chippewa just west of Target. I have to say these were the juiciest most tender thick baby backs I have ever had, a must try and very reasonable. half side of ribs with 2 sides and a biscuit was around $ 13

very good food and the most friendly staff I have come across in a very long time. I have not had the entire menu but I will be back. Everything I have tried has been flavorful and so tender you don’t need a knife.

My son asked me if I wanted to go to lunch on Sunday. Which is a polite way of saying hey dad I will visit with you if you buy my lunch. I am always up to buy lunch and of course a visit. :) Andre’s is a small BBQ place where maybe 10 to 15 people could sit comfortably. Of course I ordered the ribs. They were baby back ribs smoked with a dry rub. I was somewhat disappointed at how dry the ribs tasted. I do believe my ribs are not the norm. While eating the ribs Andre came over and offered us some smoked chicken for free. Not just a piece of chicken but a half of chicken!!! The chicken was smoked to perfection and was tender and juicy. In other words perfect. Great service.

My brother his friend and I all found this hole in the wall gem right before I left St. Louis for good. It’s a shame, because the hardworking and generous owners deserve all possible accolades. The ribs may be the best I’ve ever had. The sauce choices were diverse and unique. What else is there to say? Oh yes, that it’s being sold for about half of what it should be. I will eagerly return the next time I’m in St. Louis.

The cashier and cook were extremely nice and helpful with our selections. The ribs were very good and had a dry rub. Sauce is homemade with three types to choose from(mild, hot, Carolina). Mac and cheese tasted homemade and the baked beans are delightful. My companion has the pulled pork which was very tender and delicious. The meat portions are generous. Also grab a piece of cake for dessert. You will not be disappointed. This place also has discounts for vets and seniors on Wednesdays. Overall: Andres is nice homestyle smoked rib joint that only does a few things but does them extremely well. This place is different than smoking barrels located nearby and has it’s own flair. 9⁄10 will be returning.

Pro: Remember those other StL Ribs joints that everyone raves about? The ones with the huge crowds and the limited business hours? FORGETTHEM! I can say without reservation that Andre’s Ribs is the best BBQ I’ve had in the ‘Lou. Ribs, Pork Steaks, Brisket or Hot Link Sandwiches, Turkey… they are all amazing! The Carolina and Hot BBQ sauces compliment the meats very well for those that like a little liquid with their dry rubs. Owners Andre and Julie really have a good thing going with this place. Rather than going to other hyper-exposed places(whose names rhyme with«Happy’s» and«Nogart’s»), I prefer this place hands down! Cons: The subsequent weight gain that would naturally follow if one becomes a regular. Bottom Line: Why are you still reading this? Go to Andre’s now!

I’m going to cut to the chase… This is one place you don’t want to miss out on. If you like BBQ(ribs especially) this WILL become your favorite place to eat. Everything my wife and I have had has been undescribably delicious. And… the service is second to none. I’ve never seen anyone working besides Andre, his wife, and his son. They are so friendly you feel like you’ve known them for years. If you want something different, try the turkey ribs. I never would have ordered them, but Andre gave me a couple to try, and they were fantastic! I will be having them again!

This place is the epitome of why I Unilocal.I had ribs on my mind while lying in bed hungover on a Sunday. Wanting to try someplace different/not wanting to wait 2 hours for Pappy’s, I typed«BBQ» into the search bar and came across a new 4.5 star rib joint just a 10 minute drive away. My lazy Sunday was about to turn into a Sunday Funday of epic«proporktion». Andre’s Ribs is a hidden gem. A tiny, nondescript eatery sandwiched in a small strip mall. It’s easy to miss if you’re not looking for it… and you should be looking for it. I ordered the full rack of ribs with mac and cheese and baked beans. While I was ordering, Andre popped out and said he would give me a free pork steak because he didn’t have a complete full rack ready for me. At that point it really didn’t matter how good the meat was. I was already in love. I still wound up getting about 10 ribs in addition to the pork steak. These ribs were on point. The meat fell right off the bone and into my heart. I went home and looked up the definition of the word«savory» in the dictionary. I wasn’t surprised when I saw a picture of Andre’s ribs right there on the page next to the definition. The pork steak was just as great. Tender and flavorful. The Mac and cheese and baked beans were excellent supporting characters. As I finished packing up my to-go box, I looked up to the heavens and in an aura of satisfaction I whispered«That’ll do pig.» Getting back to Andre, you won’t find a nicer man than him. Giving away a pork steak was a clear indication of how much he cares about pleasing his patrons. If that weren’t enough, both he and the co-owner, Julie, came out and checked to see how everyone in the restaurant were doing a couple of times. Andre and Julie get 500 stars for going above and beyond with their hospitality. Many have said that St. Louis is becoming saturated with barbecue joints. That may be true but you can never have enough great restaurants run by great people. If you’re tired of waiting in the lines at the big name BBQ places in STL, give Andre’s a try. You won’t regret it. Your arteries might but your taste buds and stomach will love you.

Yesterday was our first visit a little before 7pm. It’s a little joint across from the Target on Hampton in the strips of shops next to the hair salon and tire place. The owner’s Andre and Julia were there. They are very nice, personable people. Andre recommended the pork steak and Julia recommended the brisket. I had to order both along with the ribs which were my main reason for coming. We ordered a variety of items. The pork steak with Mac & cheese and baked beans. The pork steak was huge, fork tender and delicious. I mean no knife needed. I’ve never had a pork steak that was like eating pot roast, literally!!! I mean the taste and texture of the meat. The pork steak was $ 9.99, very reasonably priced considering the portion. The ribs were fall off the bone, tender and meaty. And the brisket was tender with a nice flavor. Their meats are served without BBQ sauce on them, which I prefer. It allows the meat to speak for itself. I don’t know what Andre is doing to his meats but damn is he doing something right!!! I ate 3 bones off my half slab and was full. The ½ slab is $ 15.99, again reasonably priced for the quantity. The brisket sandwich was very tasty, loved the meat to bread portion. It states they use Fazio’s bread and it works well with the meat. The brisket was tender with a nice flavor. It’s priced at $ 10.75 with 2 sides. We tried the baked beans, potato salad and Mac & cheese which were all OK.

Because I love trying new bbq spots, I fortuitously stopped to Andre’s for some ribs the other day, and took my order to go. The owner introduced himself to me and showed his appreciation for my business. Just like the establishment, he seemed very welcoming and courteous. I think that personal touch will always bring clients back. The ribs were very good and tender, seasoned in a dry rub. I also got some green beans and Mac n Cheese on the side, both tasty. You have a choice of 3 sauces: hot mild and Carolina. All of them are on the sweet side to be honest(reason I took away one star), but I liked their Hot Sauce enough, it is still sweet but with a kick to it. The portions are good size too and fairly priced. $ 23.99 for a full slab and 2 sides? Can’t beat that!

Ribs are something that I love, but simply to not get as often as I would like. However when I do, I tend to gravitate towards Andre’s Ribs! For my visit I ordered the ribs, which are served Julie’s style. Apparently Julie’s style is a dry rub perfected by Julie and Andre. Kudos to Julie, she is a miracle worker. Seriously these were the most amazing ribs I have ever had, just enough dry rub to not be overpowering, a solid smoky flavor and so tender that no knife is needed to cut these delicious ribs, they simply fall off the bone. The only problem I had was that they were all gone I mean I was full but I craved more, which left me licking my fingers clean. I also ordered some baked beans and a side of mac & cheese, both were amazing and homemade. In fact during my conversation with the owner, I learned that everything down to the sauce was homemade, however don’t expect them to smother your ribs with sauce, that’s not the way Julie intended so they will provide you with the sauce to apply yourself. I will say that Julie’s style needs no additional flavor, so the use of the sauce was limited in my case. On additional visits I have tried a number of items, my favorites are the Ribs and Beef Brisket, which is so full of moist and full of flavor you will forget that those other bbq joints around town even serve brisket! Yes, it’s just that good! Try it and you will be hooked. The staff here is super friendly and passionate about bbq, and it shows! Prices are reasonable, seating inside is limited so there is a heavy focus on carry out. I used to think that Pappy’s had the best ribs in town, however I think the torch has been passed on to Andre’s when it comes to the ribs. If you are looking for some delicious food at reasonable prices I highly recommend Andre’s Ribs.

First off this place is actually located across from the target parking lot and next to Firestone tires. Google maps was wrong and they were trying to fix it but they weren’t cooperating. That said– it was totally worth the driving around to find it! Super yummy ribs, tasty sides and super fast and friendly service! We stopped through on our way home to Oklahoma and were so thrilled we found it. Best green beans I’ve ever had and the sauces for the ribs were great! Highly recommend it! Try it and see!!!

Can I give this place 6*? This is the one place I have come across that really deserves 6*. We were in town for the long weekend and I ate here twice. Andre and Julie are so welcoming. The ribs literally fall off the bone. They are served dry with an assortment of sauces at each table. I am partial to the carolina sauce. The ribs are in such a state that a person with no teeth would have no problem eating a meal at Andres. While sides at ribs restaurants may be overlooked, they are not at Andre’s. Bogart’s, Pappy’s, Sugar Fire etc have nothing on Andres. Sure they may look nicer but that means nothing. In many ways, Andre’s reminded me of a smaller version of the BBQ Shop in Memphis. Julie’s son mentioned that they are thinking of doing burnt ends, which I would just die for. I look forward to meeting Bertha on my next visit to town. Go here before everyone else finds out about it.

What a gem! Andre’s Ribs is where it’s at! We had lunch here and left feeling very satisfied. The hubby and I ordered a full slab of ribs with two sides– mac n cheese and potato salad. The ribs were so good! They literally fall off the bone. The accompanying sauces that they had on the tables were a good addition to the ribs and I preferred the Carolina sauce which was a little sweet. Perfection. Andre and Julie are so nice and accommodating. You feel incredibly welcome when you step foot in here and the ribs are so good.

Andre and Julie hit it out of the park again. Their new location is even better than their old one. They now have indoor and outdoor seating, a bathroom, and a few new menu items from the BBQ nachos to the brisket chili. I almost always stick with the ribs. They’re just amazing fall off the bone ribs. Andre cooks them in the back on his pit he named Big Bertha. The ribs use Julie’s special dry rub. They are my favorite ribs in town. They have some good homemade sauces but I really dont use them as they are just fine as they are. All the sides here are homemade. You won’t find any of those premade sides you find at some BBQ shops. I think the best part about this place, besides the ribs, are Andre and Julie. They will greet you by name and treat you like family. They’ll even likely give you a sample of something because that’s just how proud they are of their product.

It had been a while since Mr D and I had an official Barbecue Wednesday. The last two somehow turned into a Deli Wednesday and Taco Tuesday. So this time I did my due diligence and called ahead to be sure that Andre’s was open. In looking on the website, I found that they had moved from the location where Mr D and I had unsuccessfully tried to eat in late 2014. When we got to the Chippewa address we did not spot the place at first and when we did, it did not look open. We were glad we persevered, we found a great little place that we both liked. Just be aware, they are where they say they are. We both had ribs and I ordered a pulled pork sandwich. I also had potato salad and slaw. Mr Andre came out to greet us and explained the history behind the place and how he came to make this style of barbecued ribs and other things. What a great guy! The ribs are interesting in that they depart from the smoked style that we are all used to. Nevertheless, I really liked them. They are served dry rubbed, not drowned in sauce. The meat is succulent, so tender and juicy. The rub provides good seasonings and salt. Now I must confess, I prefer smoked ribs, but these are very good and worth going back for. I feel I must recognize that everyone will not make the same style and there is room in St Louis for some diversity in styles. My pulled pork was nothing special. Not a lot of flavor and on the dry side. If you want a pork sandwich, I can tell you what to do, because I did it with my leftover ribs. Order a half slab of ribs and a naked bun. You can easily pull the rib meat off the bones and slap it on the bun. That rib meat sandwich will put any pulled pork to shame. I liked Julie’s mom’s potato salad. It is not sweet and not heavy yellow mustard. I found it to be close to what we make at home. The slaw is fairly standard, but good. Andre gave us a sample of what he calls Turkey Ribs. This was delicious, with good grill flavor, moist and well-seasoned. I really need to go back and try a pork steak and/or the turkey ribs. I always order pork ribs and brisket in these places and I really do feel like Andre’s has some other good things going. You just have to love this place. It is tiny, friendly and you feel like you are getting honest, backyard barbecue done by someone who knows what he is doing. You will feel welcome here.

Oh, Happy Day! I could not be happier. I finally have a quality BBQ restaurant within a mile from my house. When I’m craving ribs or brisket, it will now only be a short drive to some of the most tender brisket and fall off the bone ribs in the city. We couldn’t resist having dinner on opening day. We went hog wild and ordered a full rack of ribs and brisket. As stated earlier, the ribs were fall off the bone tender. They were done in a dry rub, that provided enough spice and flavor that neither of us used any of the BBQ sauces. The brisket was shredded and tender. The brisket, I did use sauce. I preferred the medium which had a sweet tang. My dining partner liked the hot, which had a spicier twist. Out sides were Mac-n-Cheese and Baked Beans. When I took I first saw the Mac-n-Cheese, I instantly feel in love. It was so obvious it was baked, by it crispy topping, it reminded me of the M-n-C my favorite Aunt use to make for family potlucks. The beans at first sight, had me worried, they looked like Van de Kamps baked beans. However, once I took my first bite the spices won me over. The sauce was a little runny, I normally like a thicker sauce for my baked beans, but the flavorful seasoning had me won over to this thinner sauce. My only concern with having such a fantastic BBQ joint close to home, is that I may get burned out. I’m not going to give that a second thought, I’ll never let that happen. I will have Andre’s in my rotation of favorite restaurants and will enjoy every bite.
