Yessss this place serves good food, and fast. I love that there is a Café Bistro in this Nordstrom. Before there was Nordstrom Galleria, I’d trek out to the West County location and always stop for a bite to eat here. You look at the menu when you first come in, and order and pay up front. Then you take your reciept and choose your seating. I love the booths by the windows. We ordered the Blue cheese and pear salad and the chicken pommes frites. Was enough food for two people to share. Salad had a bit too much dressing for my liking but was tasty. I really like the garlic fries here! Gotta learn how to make them at home. Prices are moderate to pricey but I’d say it’s worth it because the food is consistently good. Much better than the rest of the options for food in this mall, I’d say. You even get chocolate mints at the end. Make sure to leave a tip when they bring you this, because you do get table service and our food was served fast.

Full 5 stars for this place as it has everything you’re looking for in a café. Sixth star for being a well kept secret. Yes, I am creating an additional star specific for this place. I am in love with Café Bistro. It is tucked at the top floor of Nordstrom, barely advetised in the mall(or maybe I just never paid attention). I can’t recall what took me to that corner of the Nordstrom store but I am glad I stumbled upon this place a couple of years ago. Since then, it has been my little chill sanctuary. It does get busy at lunch time. I have been with friends a few times but we barely had to wait for a table even when we requested special seating along the windows. The Bistro can accomodate large groups however, I enjoy it the most when I go alone, outside of peak hours, so I can take my time to go through a full 3 course meal, in a peaceful atmosphere. The pizzas, the sandwiches, the salads… all items on the menu down to the desserts are so daringly delicious. I have made a mission to try different items on the menu at each of my visits, however I ALWAYS incorporate my 2 favorites in my meal: the bisque soup and the fries. The latter comes with a side sauce(aioli I think), I am not sure what that creamy and addictive sauce is made of, but whatever it is, it satisfies a gastronomical NEED that I did not even know I had. Plain excellence. They have a nice variety of wine, and the prices aren’t too bad either. The service is courteous and agreeable. I’ve spent hours there before, eating and enjoying a good book, and never felt pressed or looked at weirdly by the staff. You will go there for a shopping break(much better alternative than the food court in my opinion), then go back over and over because food and atmosphere is so unexpectedly amazing.

Boo! No special treatment for birthdays. Should have taken my 13yr old, who loves this place, somewhere that appreciates people who bring a group of friends to celebrate. Next time I’ll check beforehand. Disappointed.

Simply the best kept dining secret in the area. A mall restaurant that has the highest quality food with fantastic service. The food consistency is amazing as we dine there often. Families welcome. The advance ordering at the door is odd but is efficient when you get accustomed. A limited menu of mostly sandwiches and salads, but be prepared to be impressed. Even the iced tea is crystal clear and perfect!(Tea fans know the difference). Try the crab bisque, a little salty, but if you like savory, you’ll love it! Service is like fine dining, as the wait staff anticipates your needs. A friendly manager patrols for refills and any thing you may need. They even unwrap your drink straws in a nifty way and offer them to you, touching only the paper! For $ 12 – 15 per person including drink. You absolutely cannot beat this place. For an extra 5 bucks you might as well tack on the crème brûlée. Light and done right!

You just can’t find a better, tastier Caesar salad or fresher soups! How can this be in a store? In a mall?! It’s the undiscovered gem you’ve been looking for. The dinner offerings will become some of your local favorites. Chef Michael is an amazing find. A great chef and a wonderful manager and«coach». Well-trained and accommodating staff. Don’t miss the Chef’s specials, sumptuous desserts and many wine options. Special diet or food sensitivity– just ask. They’ll make you feel smart for stopping here.

Came here for lunch on a recommendation. Grab a menu at the front, everyone in the party orders at the register, then she takes separate payments from each individual after all orders are placed, then she escorts us to a booth or table. There is some popular seating along the bank of windows. It’s a mostly open kitchen with what looks like a wood-fired grill. Nice dining room, plenty of seats open at lunch. Bread and butter — complimentary, lots of it, 4⁄5 Crab bisque bowl — huge, meal on its own, 4⁄5(see pics) Chicken and goat cheese sandwich w/fries — Could only eat half this sandwich and half that soup bowl, good portion, very tasty, came w/kalamata olive aioli, which was different, 4⁄5 Margherita pizza — white sauce, friend said quite tasty, 4⁄5 Club — friend loved it, also good portion w/fries, 4⁄5 French Onion soup — huge bowl, meal on its own, 4⁄5(see pics) Ham and cheese sandwich — big portion sandwich, friend said was very good, polished it off quickly, 4⁄5 Will definitely be back. Sandwich w/fries, bowl of soup, and diet soda ran about $ 23 after tax and tip.

Nordstorm Bistro, at the St Louis Galleria is the BEST! My husband and I have eaten there several times and just love the ambiance and the food. Chef Michael and his team are top notch! We have never been disappointed in the quality of food, from soups to main courses to desserts(bread pudding a must have). This is THE place to be ANYTIME to eat, drink and be merry.

While my mom and I were power shopping at the mall lately, we decided to stop to refuel and since the food court horrifies me and we weren’t feeling CPK-ish, we decided to have a bite at the Nordstrom Café Bistro. I’ve eaten at other ones and have yet to have a bad meal there. True to form, after we’d ordered our salads: Asian glazed chicken salad for me, the steak and arugula salad for her, we were whisked to a table and our waiter promptly came over to pick up our order and fetch our drinks. Although he neglected to offer us complimentary bread(which I saw at other tables around us), he was extremely pleasant and speedily brought out our salads when they were plated at the kitchen bar at the back of the restaurant. Each salad was very sizable with generous portions of chicken or steak, veggies and wonton strips(for mine) and sun dried tomatoes and figs for her. The greens were crisp, the dressing was on the side just how I like it — it was all good. He even brought us drinks-to-go when we prepared to leave and gave us the complimentary chocolate mint sticks. I love those things — I actually bought a jarful last year to take home with me. Nice job as always Nordstrom Café Bistro — keep keeping it classy with your excellent service in every aspect of your company.

Not consistent with meals or service. Have dined at other Bistro’s around US. This one is big disappointment. Have dined several times and meals did not have all ingredients listed on menu. Also, have had cold greasy fries and stale bread. Head chef /manager is rude. Wait staff stands around and converses with chef and cooks and ignores customers. Definitely does not live up to Nordstrom’s reputation.

Having shopped at Nordstrom for years, I never noticed the café until recently. I was missing out! The soups, sandwiches and salads are always fresh, flavorful, and made with attention. The olive tapenade is one of my favorites! Great place to grab a lunch if shopping. The service lives up to Nordstrom reputation!

Service was excellent! Very relaxing atmosphere. I had the Roasted Chicken and Goat cheese panini and it was delicious! Couldn’t have asked for a better lunch.
