I have been shopping at this J Crew for years, but I have to admit that I usually buy items online after seeing them first in the store. The reason for this is the AWFUL customer service at this location. The man who is usually working at the counter is so unfriendly. He acts like it is just too much to ask for him to have to call another store about a size. He never smiles, never says«hello», never asks if I need any help. RUDE, RUDE, RUDE. Sometimes when I walk in the store and see that he is working, I walk right out. Sadly, due to the amount of times that I see him in this store, I think that he might actually be the manager. Hopefully he is not training the other employees to be as rude as he is.

If you know anything about fashion, you should certainly be familiar with J. Crew. Whether you’ve gotten a taste from our First Lady, Michelle Obama’s swanky wardrobe, you’ve gotten dragged in by your super chic friends or you yourself happen to be stylishly in tune… once you’ve had a dose of their quality products you’ll be hooked. What I love most about J. Crew are their awesome line of gifts available during the holiday season(catalog or online purchases). The gifts range from grooming kits to cuff links and make very unique & affordable presents. Whenever I’m on the hunt for a cure button-up shirt, leather flats, tailored blazer or sleek trousers J. Crew is my first stop. These items may seem extravagantly priced but they are timeless staples for your wardrobe. Customer service is always pleasant and helpful. Sales are located in the far right room, accessories in the center and men’s near the rear of the store. Although this particular store does not carry the children’s line, Crew Kids you can hop on highway 40⁄64 west and hit Frontenac just 3 exits down if your shopping for the little people.

Service at J. Crew has been great in all of their store locations I have been to in both East and West Coast so when I had multiple awful service at this particular J. Crew store in the past few months, I was very disappointed. This store tend to have much fewer mens inventory than other J. Crew stores but that is not a huge surprise. But the whenever I ask a question to the guy who works at the mens section about availability of certain size, color or product, he just says, «sorry we don’t» without checking. During first few times I gave him the benefit of the doubt. but when he says the exact same thing every single time, I can’t stop but think that he just doesn’t care about the customer’s needs. So now I have stopped going to this store. I either buy online or visit J. Crew stores in other cities. I hope the management at this STL store is listening…

WTF! Seriously, what is wrong with this J Crew? They are selling a fantastic product, but their customer service is lacking big time. This may come to you as a shock, but if you want to be treated equally, I highly recommend that you shop the J Crew at Plaza Frontenac and avoid this location. I love me some J Crew, it such a good traditional and quality brand. I pay full retail and I too like Katherine B., ravage their sale section. I have shopped this location multiple times and each time the customer service has been at a minimum. On my most recent visit, I will admit I had a clean grungy look going on. I was unshaven, baggy cargo shorts and an over sized polo shirt. I am a self sufficient shopper, but I do like to be acknowledged. At least let me know that you are aware I am in your store. Product 5 Stars, Customer Service 1 Star = 3 Stars overall. As stated earlier, shop the J Crew at Plaza Frontenac where they treat everyone equally. They know not to judge a book by it’s cover. Some of the best shoppers are not always dressed to the 9’s. When shopping 6’s and 7’s will do.

Any brand that has everything in pretty much every color you can think of has my stamp of approval. Their fit often leaves something to be desired, but just last weekend I found a pair of jeans that actually fit me and were flattering. And for less than $ 40… um, yes! I ravage their sale section at the end of season and usually find at least an accessory in some great color to add to my wardrobe. They also have great quality and fit in suit pants. My mom bought me my first pair of dress pants from J. Crew, and more than 10 years later, I still have them, and(thanks to Pilates and running also!) they still fit great and have not ripped or torn.

Shopping at J Crew has a sentimental appeal to me as a 24 year old, because it means my taste in clothing is becoming more mature and refined {which is good!}. Stores like Forever21& Urban Outfitters are great, but its nice to find pieces that are timeless and classic looks I can wear to work. On to my review. Today I went to J Crew @ the galleria and was instantly greeted and asked if I needed any help. The customer service here is GREAT, and the girls are really helpful! Mary is the sales associate that helped me today. She’s really good. I absolutely LOVE the way their shirts fit me. I bought the long sleeve peach colored«Perfect Fit» shirt {$ 24} and a really pretty bright pink sweater called the«Jackie Cardigan» {$ 62}. Definitely one of my new favorite stores. :-)

They get three stars because I worked at J. Crew in Chicago for the better part of four years and I LOVELOVELOVE the clothing. In fact, they got ten stars for that. This location, however, LOSTSEVENSTARS(bringing their total to three) because they have the absolute worst customer service of any J. Crew in the nation. I felt more like I was in Abercrombie than a company that prides itself on the customer experience. I’ve been in the store a handful of times(dressed completely like I worked there) and not ONE associate/manager ever even greated me. No, «Hi, how are you?» No, «Can I help you find anything today?» No, «Goodbye.» Done and done with you J. Crew Galleria. I will head to the Plaza Frontenac(insert your best snooty rich guy voice) from now on.
