Cardinal Cleaners

They lost one of my favorite shirts and won’t do anything about it. Went in 3 times looking for it. One time they said the computer showed I picked it up on Saturday which I definitely did not do, then another time they said I picked it up Monday which I also did not do. When I originally went to pick up my shirt they brought out a handful of men’s clothes under my name which are clearly not my clothes. System is not working there– clearly they are mixing clothes up and letting people pick up clothes which are not theirs. Definitely will not be back. Which is a shame because I used to like going there and appreciate their organic practices. Very disappointed.

We use them all the time and they have always provided good service.

I use them frequently for shirts, pants, etc and they always do a great job. Also, 2 days before vacation I had to have a dress altered. I told the lady (owner) and she hemmed my dress the same day. Great customer service.

do not use cardinal cleaners. this establishment lost a pair of my dress pants that cost me $ 130. when i returned to pick them up, they informed me that they lost the pants and asked me to come back in a couple of weeks in hopes that they would find them. it is now 6 weeks later and they refuse to do anything about it. i am a business man and if i make a mistake at work i own up to it and make things right for the customer. i am astonished that this company would rather lose a loyal customer than create a raving fan.

They certainly get things ‘cleaned’ quickly, but they have successfully ruined 1 $ 80 shirt and a $ 50 tie. Not worth the convenience, go elsewhere. They did offer to redeem themselves for free, but the items came came back with the new flaws, just as before. The main problem is spotting– my tie had a huge new spot on the front of the tie– ironically right above the «Cleaned with Care» logo on the plastic. One of my shirts was also returned with a large yellowish splotch. Perhaps starch, but it could not be removed (after 2 tries). Shirts often starched even when I ask for none, pants were returned with large wrinkles, fixable– but frustrating.
I’ve had bad experiences with all of the cleaners in the Brentwood area. Ive been using this place for 2 or 3 weeks, incidents were not secluded to one bad experience. I’m going to give Yorkshire a try out in Webster. Hoping for better results.

Cardinals cleaners is great. They do good and cheap alterations and their turnaround time is great too. The only reason they don’t get 5 stars is because on a couple of occasions when I got clothes back they smelled like dry cleaning chemicals still. I just then hung them in the hallway and put a fan on them until the smell went away. But this has only happened 2 out of ~50 times I’ve taken clothes there and it hasn’t happened recently either.

After about a 5 year run, I gave up on Cardinal. Not «bad», but just… mediocre. Sort of a «death by thousand pin-​pricks». A broken button here and there, which then became more here here here, a missed «easy» stain there, and the straw that broke the camel’s back, a sweater with a small stain made much, much worse by what looked like a total lack of grace in the stain removal attempt, resulting in a cleaning fluid mark much much bigger (and more noticeable) than the original stain itself. And no «We’re Sorry But…» attachment. On my tailor’s recommendation, I’m a month or so into Frontenac Cleaners in Ladue. They’re certainly not perfect, but they saved a pair of linen pants from the trash bin that Cardinal had failed with. If quality was the only determinant, I’d have to say Marquards is great– but be ready to take out a second mortgage if you want to take your daily stuff there.

I have been using Cardinal Cleaners for about 3 years. They have removed stains from clothing I thought had to be thrown away. My suits always comeback neatly presses and with all the buttons. They have made repairs to cuffs and buttons without my asking. I would say they have a loyal customer.

Organic Dry Cleaners !!! I LOVE these guys! Don’t you hate putting on a sweater that smells like chemicals? Me too, but the wonderful folks at Cardinal use an organic cleaning process that eliminates that nasty smell. They also do alterations and repairs.
