I still love going to Gap to find jeans that will fit, which has historically been challenging for me. I’m unsure why, as I am not heavy or an unusual height. I have gone to Gap for years, and few retailers have historically done a better job of having pants that fit as well. I attribute this to the different styles offered by Gap. I visited on a busier day, and it seems much of the merchandise that would fit me sold earlier in the day. According to the computer, there were 4 pair in the size, style, and color I wanted in stock as of inventory the night before. Despite having to assist many other customers, the employee who assisted me helped me determine the best style and size of jeans. She checked everywhere, and she managed to locate a pair that fit perfectly even though all the others had already sold. I ordered two more pair to be shipped in the same size and style. She was most patient and helpful in helping me select the perfect fit for jeans.

The most worthless staff possible. I had an item put on hold. Came back and the clerk said she couldn’t find them. Aloof staff.

I miss the Gap of days gone by. I use to be a true Gap addict. Now, I just do not shop there as often as I use too. Many moons ago, Gap switched their house credit card over to a Gap Visa where you earn gift rewards for shopping in the store. The card has a good percentage rate, so I held on to it for large purchases. I recently got a rewards certificate to go Gap shopping. My recent shopping experience was some what disappointing. I found nothing in the clearance/sale section, so I moved on to the short sleeve sport shirts. I could always use a colorful Madras Plaid shirt for attending a summer cookout or Unilocal Event. I found a couple that I liked and was ready to go until I tried them on. I’ve been dieting and have lost 30 lbs., but when I went to try a large on, it was too small. What? Even when I was fatter, I did not wear an extra-large. Size is a mental game, even if I liked the shirt, there is no way was I going to buy an extra-large. So, I was back to browsing the store. My eyes immediately were drawn to the back corner where they had colorful socks and boxers/briefs displayed. I’ve been thinning out and redoing my sock inventory, so this was a win. I have to wear an uniform to work, so I love accessorizing with colorful socks. The service today was bare bones, I did not see a sales associate until I was at the cash wrap ready to check out. Again, I remember the days when they would be assisting, suggesting and working to build that sale. * Side note — I found a shirt at Tommy Bahamas and I got to buy a MEDIUM. Why can’t the fashion industry use the same sizing standards and guidelines?

This Gap, located at the northern end of the Galleria, is a fine store. It’s a good size, there’s always plenty to be found on the men’s discount racks, and the employees tend to successfully walk that fine line between being helpful and letting you have your space. Seriously, though; since when have clothes gotten so expensive? And Gap’s a midline brand! Just goes to show how far out of the loop I am. Price aside, though, what we have here remains a 3-star establishment. If you’re looking for a Gap, this is your place.

I shop here for clothes whenever my budget is tight. The clothes are allright. The quality is so-so. The prices are ok. This Gap has a great selection. I usually buy my comfy or at-home clothes from here. I got a great pair of jeans from here years ago, but they don’t carry the style anymore. :(A lot of their jeans just don’t fit me. Either they are too tight or too loose.
