Well it’s officially the end of an era in STL. Harry’s is now closed. I made one last pilgrimage yesterday. I made many good memories at that place. 23 years was a good, long run. Good bye Harry’s — you will be missed.

Harry’s is a bar. There are lots of TVs showing sports and high tables or bars to stand beside. We went to hear live music but some groups of customers were very noisy. Recently we went to hear a band that was playing in a tent adjoining the bar and all the women thought we weren’t wearing enough clothes. i do not eat at Harry’s because the pizza looks boring. Just read other reviews. We have never paid a cover and there has never been a crowd.

The place is absolutely disgusting, the food comes out cold and bland, and the orange juice in my screwdriver tasted as it it had been sour for weeks, from the mouse poop on the bathroom counter to the terrible service… This place is an all around bad experience

My friend and I were both roofied here on Friday(9⁄4) night during the event with the guy from the Bachelorette. My credit card was also stolen. We were informed by our friends that we were given free shots by the bar staff, even though we were clearly intoxicated. We will not be returning as we feel our safety was not looked after by Harry’s staff.

I will never return to Harry’s. Please save yourself the money, the time, and less than average night and go elsewhere. Saint Louis has many, many, many better options. The REAL violation of Harry’s is that it charges a $ 10 cover– and the extreme and OFFENSIVE violation of Harry’s is that on Halloween night the management and/or bouncers suddenly decided that they were going to charge a $ 20 cover mid-line. Without warning or reason, the bouncer declared it was $ 20 to get in. Firstly, nowhere in any of the information about their Halloween event did it indicate a $ 20 cover at any point. Secondly, a friend of mine who is under 21, and so was standing in the 18 plus line, went into the event for $ 10 at the same exact time. Harry’s just decided to completely take advantage of customers. It is not only«high way robbery» but really immoral and disgusting to treat customers that way. As someone who has lived in DC and NY, I can confidently say that Harry’s does not stack up anywhere near the venues in those cities. Venues in those cities rarely charge a cover and they would NEVER charge a $ 20 cover because that is completely unreasonable. This is the most debase establishment in the entirety of St. Louis. First of all the venue has nothing to offer: a collection of rooms barely decorated with a big bar, as well as one tacky dance room. Additionally, it is off the side of the road, not close to any pedestrian or lively area. Also, please look at the exterior of the building if you unfortunately find yourself at Harrys(to view visit ) because it is an architecturally disgusting cheap looking building.

A bit of a dive, but I was really surprised at how good the food was. The service was pleasant and quick. It is also a short walk from my hotel. Will definitely stop by here again when I am in St. Louis!

Never been here to eat but it’s a great place to come on so Saturday and get your groove on. Nice inside but even better outside patio. When it’s warm out is open and has a great view. When it’s child they game a great heated tent so you don’t miss a beat.

First off there is a 10 dollar cover that everyone has to pay. Also the waitresses that work there are thieves. Me and 4 friends got a table with bottle service. The bill came out to 328 bucks. We paid the waitress 200 cash and the rest on the credit card. But when she came back she said we gave her only 50 dollars. The manager seemed to not care either. So we got screwed out 150 bucks minimum. Don’t ever pay with cash. They will screw you.

This place used to be the sh*t!!! During my college days at UMSL! Basically an all you can drink buffet, I knew a person who worked there so we always got a table plus the bar… I don’t remember but from the nights I used to go for the simple fact I was always drunk! I don’t know if they still have college night on Friday but man that was the life! Never ate there so can’t talk about the food only the after 9pm experience.

I mean it works for a night out spot! Good drinks, always a diverse crowd, and good music. I have been here with VIP and without either way works for me. I really like the patio area, especially in the colder months it is nice! The live music is sometimes hit or miss but overall it provides a decent time!

This review is for the food. Went to a banquet here and the food was horrible. Our party had probably 75 people. Instead of prepping some meals in advance, they decide to take our orders and then cook our meals. So it took probably 90 minutes to get everyone served. The food itself was nasty. Bland and COLD. Would give this place 0 stars if I could.

I’ll keep it short and sweet: -$ 10 cover on Saturday night. –1 star. –Expensive drinks($ 9 for a shot of Knob Creek bourbon?) –1 star. –Smoke. Everywhere. –1 star. The only upside: get a few drinks in you first to wash away the previously discussed points, and you’ll be sure to have a great time on the dance floor, which features entertaining DJs/performers who croon Top 40 hits into the wee hours of the morning.

This used to be one of my favorite places in the city for lunch or dinner. Then, at some point, they changed the venue and the menu entirely. What used to be the main part of the restaurant has now been changed into a nightclub. The food used to be fantastic, but after the change it seems the quality has dropped significantly. My wife and I came here for dinner one evening and the place was virtually empty. I got the tenderloin sandwich, which I used to get all the time, and it wsan’t nearly what it used to be. To say I was disappointed was an understatment. As I said before, I used to frequent Harry’s for lunch/dinner, but I doubt I’ll be back. Sad.

So I’ve had the opportunity to perform at Harry’s using their pole. I now know why they should and can’t hire anyone to use them because they are NOT properly installed. Meaning there is about maybe 2 ft of space between the pole and the wall. That space is meant for a go go dancer not a pole dancer.

I’ll give these guys 4 stars based largely on the fact that they provided the venue for the 7th Annual Stray Rescue of STL benefit last week. We didn’t eat here so I can’t comment about the food. We came to support the Stray Rescue cause. We had a few drinks and looked around a little and we found it to be a pretty nice place. I thought the staff were friendly and they had Blue Moon on draught so I was happy with that. I think it’s a good place to relax and have a drink or two.

Came here for drinks and stayed for dinner. The bartender was extremely nice and even made recommendations for dinner. The menu was your typical bar food with some nice exceptions like turtle soup and a fish filet with risotto. He ended up recommending a prime rib dip that wasn’t on the menu so I went with that. The meat was tender and very flavorful. The dip was also very good. I ordered a salad instead of the fries and it was your average salad. The sandwich also came with a mayonnaise that I thought was horseradish but it tasted just like plain mayo. I would come back here for a quick drink and bite to eat. It isn’t the fanciest restaurant in the whole city but it has decent food and a nice atmosphere. The only downside is that the floors are sticky… but I guess what do you expect from a bar.

My girlfriend found an ad for Harry’s in Saint Louis Visitor’s Guide type magazine and the picture sold her. We arrived(with a reservation) at 8p on Saturday evening. We were immediately seated. The service was nearly nonexistent. When we asked to hear the specials(we had to ask) we were shouted at as if the server was a drill sergeant speeding through the list. He made nothing sound appetizing. We settled on the calamari as an appetizer; it was over cooked /tough /chewy and a little fishy. The turtle soup was basically hamburger is very strong, very salty beef stock(no vegetables at all). The cesar salad was generic at best. The new york strip was fatty and covered in a sauce that tasted like muted barbeque sauce. Worst of all was the Salmon Roulade(from the picture that brought us to Harry’s). It tasted like a $ 2 salmon patty. The view was nice. Had there been a manager present we would have complained. It was incredibly disappointing and I would not recommend Harry’s to anyone. I don’t know if we somehow insulted or hurt someone’s feelings but it sure felt like we were being punished the whole time we were there. I’m grateful that some mistakes do not have to be repeated. Worth a $ 10 cover on a Saturday night? Probably not. But this is coming from someone who usually avoids places with covers at most costs. This particular night I wasn’t spared since it was my friend’s birthday and this is where she wanted to go. Harry’s is a 3am bar. We made it there around 12:30am where it had a pretty solid crowd going from the time we got there to the time we left. I think that is one of my favorite parts of the whole night — the crowd was consistent, and people did not start rolling out until around 2:30 or so when it started wrapping up. It made all the more fun since we were dancing out on the patio the a cover band. The cover band, which I can’t remember the name of to save my life was singing Top 40 hits. The lead singer was a man in his mid-40s with the sunglasses and sporting long, blonde curly locks. Seriously, I think he looked like Dog the Bounty Hunter’s twin. No joke! His backup vocalist was an African American lady who sang very well. The only exception to this was her cover of Lady Gaga’s ‘Just Dance’. Bottom line — she should avoid singing that ever again. The band itself was really good which added flavor to the evening. The DJ gave a shout out to my friend was cool. The drinks were pretty nice as well. Everything was priced from $ 5 for a basic well drink to $ 8 for a martini. Standard prices for this type of venue. The restaurant aspect is something I’ve never experienced. I have never ate here, so I can not vouch for the food or any other matter other than this particular night out. I have been to Harry’s one other night previously, and that particular evening I was not impressed. This time changed my mind. Overall, Harry’s. I like. I will go again. Check it out if you don’t want a dance club but want the atmosphere of a nice, relaxing patio to just get crazy on. Because trust me when I say — you won’t be the only one dancing your ass off!

@ night, lit StL skyline is a backdrop to a patio party bar scene. I have heard the hot DJs(like Deception) beat mix 30 sec song bites while I hung with the huge white smile & tan crowd. Around the patio, private furnished decks are for the«in». This star covered lounge has valets waiting outside or walk a few blocks. By the light of the day the place is not nearly as impressive with the view of the highway. Most of the crowd I have realized are the«$ 30,000/year millionaires»(thanks Big John for the quote). None of that faux brilliance matters when I want to escape reality during warmer weather weekend nights.(open till 3AM) Just a note– never been here for Friday college night.

Harry’s has a College Night every Friday which is Free for ladies and $ 10 for guys from 10pm-2am to drink. So if your in that tipping back mood stop by. I will most likely be there! Also for Cardinal games I usually Valet here, grab a drink and use their shuttle. Not bad!
