We stayed at the Pear Tree and didn’t really feel like looking for a place to eat so gave this a go. Good choice. We had the shark tacos(very tasty and not«fishy» at all) and the Ruben(also very good). Prices were decent and the location couldn’t have been better. Very good place to eat if you are staying here and are not picky, but I don’t think I would eat here otherwise.

Visited Syberg’s on Market several times over the years, for special occasions as well as lunch with coworkers or just chill evening with friends while enjoying a NCAA tournament game. We have always made reservations for groups of 10+ with no issue whatsoever. One time we walked in for lunch without reservation, 11 people deep, and had to separate into 2 groups. No biggie. Sybergs is one of those places that just feels appropriate for whatever occasion. When you don’t want to think too hard about where to go for lunch or dinner, Sybergs is the default option. The service I have experienced is generally so-so. The staff could be a tiny bit more attentive. Waiters always seem on a rush and water/drinks refill are never timely. The wings with Sybergs sauce are pretty popular, not my fave but we often get them to share as appetizers. I love their salad, and I always ask for dressing on the side, if not they will drench it in dressing. If dripping dressing is your thing, by any means go for it. The salad is huuuge! lol Goodness. They serve it in a big bowl and it looks more like a punishment than anything else. It makes for good leftovers I guess. I have also had some of their fish sandwish and it was decent. My fave thing to order is the buffalo chicken wrap with sweet potato fries. Uhhh. It is sooo delicious. The menu is very diverse, it has lots of options to suit anyone’s taste. Prices are very reasonable overall. I only give it 3 stars because there is nothing special about this place, like a wow element, something specific to Syberg that I can’t just find anywhere else. It is a very safe choice for all.

Attached to the Pear Tree Inn, wasd recommended to try their famous chicken sandwich. I was also contemplating their Ruben Sandwich. But chose the chicken. It’s a large chicken tender smothered in their«famous» chicken wing sauce and served with a side of fries. The chicken has a nice crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. Didn’t care too much for the sauce. I think it would have probably tasted better with gravy like chicken fried steak. The Server, Ashley, was really friendly and attentive. There’s lots of TVs s you can’t miss any games. I’ll try the Ruben on my next return.

Wing sauce is the best in the city! Lunch specials are great. Service is always pretty good! Shark bites are great. Sybergs chicken sandwich is tasty. You really can’t go wrong!

Good food, big portions, reasonable prices. Very good toasted ravioli. Nice touch with rolls prior to the meal as well. Also a shuttle back the the Pear Tree Inn after Cards games!

The food was absolutely amazing. I mean where else in America can you get shark tacos? And the onion rings? OMG!!! Our waitress was attentive and kept the cold beer coming. In addition, a shuttle can transfer you to Busch for a two dollar fee. If you’re downtown and want something different try Sybergs you will not be disappointed.

I had the strangest experience here… The bartender must have thought that because I was Asian, I didn’t know how to read English, even though I talked to her in English and asked her about the different dishes printed on the menu. When I asked her what sides were included with a dish, she said«yeah, if you can’t read this, it says here that you can get fries or a potato.» Then I asked here where the restrooms were, and she pointed behind me and said«yeah, that sign there says ‘restrooms.’» Then she short-changed me 9 cents for some reason. I was thinking«are you fucking kidding me? How retarded are you?» But decided to go enjoy my Reuben in peace, which wasn’t bad. But I mean, seriously? How do you think I could read the word Reuben on the fucking menu?

Came here for lunch with some of my co-workers. They recommended the chicken tenders or shark on the lunch menu, so I ended up ordered the chicken tenders with Syberg’s sauce along with a salad with Caesar dressing. Service was fast and our food came out quickly. The salad was decent, nothing special and nothing to rave about. Kind of reminded me of one of those salad kits you could pick up at a grocery store. The chicken tenders were fried nice and juicy, but unfortunately lacked flavor. Even with the Syberg’s sauce, I had to add quite a bit of pepper. Quick food, but nothing spectacular.

Ordered to go for lunch and got a potato skins. Potato skins tasted fine, everyone else’s food was good as well. Everything was cooked fine. It was nothing spectacular but it did the job.

This visit, for Happy Hour, I had the Helen Irish Nachos, which are thicker round cut fries seasoned with buffalo flavor and loaded with cheese and bacon and the onion rings. When visiting for Happy Hour, you are required to order a beverage in order to get the appetizer HH prices, which I fine for me. I’ve had Syberg’s on several occassions and several locations(Downtown, Dorsett, Chesterfield Valley), but didn’t realize I hadn’t reviewed them. Their food is solid. I do enjoy the Syberg Sauce on the wings, so if you haven’t had it, get it. Their fish sandwich is also very good.

We decided to stop here before a Blues game to try this location as we’re always at the Affton one. This one is much nicer, and bigger in my opinion. They do not offer their specials on Blues game nights, which was a bummer but we still got a great deal on dinner. We ordered the pretzels as an appetizer, a few drinks to hold us over until our order arrived. Pretzels arrived nice and hot and were devoured quite fast. Our meals arrived hot and fresh, both chicken sandwiches respectively, and the fries had a great taste as well. The staff is super friendly, eager to wait on you and eager to make sure your dining experience is one to remember. Parking is not the best so be prepared to park on the street. They do have a shuttle for a nominal fee that you can ride to the games and back.

Came in here for a business lunch. It was the customer’s choice. Had I read the reviews written by others and had it been my choice I likely would have selected somewhere else. Fortunately, the four of us came here and ordered their special chicken sandwich. Nice, plump chicken breast, breaded, fried and dredged in their signature hot wing sauce before being presented on a toasted bakery bun. The chicken was flavorful, juicy and the breading nicely crunchy. The sauce added a bit of zing without being too spicy. Fresh lettuce and tomato added to the sandwich.

If this was not attached to a great hotel, it would not get business. The staff is SO unprepared. I went down early and asked about the shuttle. I then asked about specials/happy hour and the like. I was told there was a happy hour, ½ apps, etc. You know what? The staff was wrong. It was not the right day for that. Was I going to go anyway? Yes. Is it annoying that I was not properly informed, yes. Just because there is regular business does not mean you should not have to provide good customer service. The food was average. Typical bar food. We had the nachos and some beer. I was not overly excited about any of it. The toppings were a bit salty and much of it tasted like it came directly out of a can. All around it was just ok.

We always come for the chicken wings. 24 @ $ 22 ain’t too shabby for how yummy they are. I always order the Sybergs original sauce, and it’s got some good kick in it. If you’re a champ, go for the hot! They’re also known for their shark and I can see why. It’s so fresh and served with a bit of melted butter– that’s all you need. The service is exceptional for a bar and grill. The servers and staff are very attentive to customers’ needs– water refills, quick and polite service, timely returns an check ups. The food also arrives promptly and warm.

We visited Syberg’s while visiting Saint Louis over Memorial Day. Usually we find some local dive to eat at when visiting a new locale, but after a long drive, an exhausting day and a frustrating check in at the attached Pear Tree Inn, we opted to just«settle» for Syberg’s. So glad we did! It turned out we had settled for delicious! After being seated, we perused the menu carefully and each«settled» on the Prime Rib Sandwich with fries, the Bacon BBQ Cheeseburger and the Chicken Taco Salad. Our server was friendly(but not too friendly, which I always find annoying!) We were served some loaf bread and butter while we waited for our food. For an early Saturday night, it was pretty quiet. Hubby loved his sandwich, I thought the cheeseburger was one of the better burgers I have had anywhere. Our 10 year old said that she«could eat the taco salad everyday»! All in all, a very good(and much needed) dinner experience.

Oh dear. That pretty much sums it up… «Oh dear.» Unfortunately, while in St. Louis for a wedding, we were sent here by the concierge at our nearby hotel. All we wanted was something light. One quick look at the menu and it became clear that we had come to the wrong place. Nonetheless, my friend ordered the green salad and I ordered a beer. The first thing we noticed when the salad arrived was that it was not green, but rather… white. All of the iceberg lettuce was white and appeared as though it had been frozen and defrosted. Needless to say, she sent the salad back and I quickly drank beer and we left. We ate back at out hotel(Union Station) and the meal was wonderful. Maybe shame on us for ordering a salad at a place that so clear does not specialize in anything healthy?

Meh. I always seem to get here too late, when their late night menu has kicked in. Their appetizers are decent, but nothing to write home about. Service is generally great. The place has been dead as a doornail every time I’ve been in, with my party and I usually being the only guests in the place.

Not wild about this place. I’m willing to go back and try something different. I had the wings with syberg sauce and the combination nachos… not impressed at all. Pros: Nice environment, decent service, accommodates large groups, variety on menu. Cons: Nothing really stood out to me, drinks aren’t that great, syberg sauce is terrible, nachos(chicken was dry, barely any cheese, and the chips were burnt)

I ordered take-out as we were staying in the adjoining hotel. The service was terrible. The food took forever –much longer than told– and even though it wasn’t busy at all no one seemed to want to handle the growing line of take-out orders. The order wasn’t correct either. The shark tacos were sloppily made but were tasty. The house salad consisted of iceberg lettuce, cheese, and croutons –very sad. The chicken tenders were over salted. Would not come back.
