I love this place! They have an incredible selection of beer, so it’s pretty easy to find something that I haven’t tried before. The two restaurants attached, Epic Pizza and Mission taco, also deliver to the bar. It’s an awesome place to go watch a game and there is also a large patio that is perfect for hanging out when the weather is nice. The only reason why I gave this place 4 stars instead of 5 is because the bartender was extremely rude. She acted like ordering a beer was a rather large disturbance for her, even though there were about 10 people in the whole bar at the time. She also rolled her eyes when I asked for the beer menu. Overall, I’m pleased and I will go back, I just hope they have some friendlier people behind the bar next time!

Great setting! Customer service was great! I am a picky beer drinker and every beer that was suggested for me I loved. I enjoyed the Tuesday night trivia as well.

Huge selection of beers on tap in in the case. Great specials every night of the week. They also host a variety of charity events for the community that I am always on board to support. Dog-friendly patio with water bowls set out already. Bartenders have always been willing to give me a sample of a beer before I commit to a full pint. I’ve always had great service here.

This place is dangerous for a beer fanatic. Very dangerous. You can find almost any beer you want, here. If they don’t have THAT beer, they have something eerily similar. All of the bartenders are well versed on the selection, too. My ONLY complaint, and it’s SO minor, is the way they display the beer menu. It’s a big chalkboard that can be relatively hard to read at times, and I like to peruse a beer menu at my seat. In the grand scheme of things, it really doesn’t matter that much. If you’re hungry, you can place an order with the pizza place next door, to be delivered to your seat.

Great feel and vibe. Tons of beer to choose from and Epic pizza and Mission taco are in the same building. What more could you want?

I was told that I HAD to visit iTap as it’s known to locals, and I was not disappointed. My entire purpose for my trip to St. Louis was to find and drink great craft beers, and iTap helped fulfill this mission. The location is great(attached through back doors to both Epic Pizza and Mission Taco) so their lack of food options isn’t an issue. The location has a ton of seats at the bar, booths along the other wall, and some more comfy seating up front. Their beer selection is immense(both draft and bottle) and they have a great vibe. There are also TVs for sports or other show viewing pleasure and the staff was nice and helpful. If you’re in the area and enjoy a laid back environment and a rare craft brew, this is your place to be!

Warm and inviting, even when it’s mostly empty(as opposed to the CWE location, which I find cavernous and impersonal even when it’s full). You really can’t find friendlier service, and the ridiculous specials they run Sunday through Thursday make it hard not to have«just one more» delicious beer from their expansive, constantly changing on-tap list. On top of it all, they have both Sunday Ticket and Extra Innings for us non-native sports fans!

Great beer selection and awesome that you can get pizza next door delivered from Epic. Between Penny and Oscar you will never have an empty glass or a dirty table.

iTap is my favorite place to just sit and drink beer. Why? The beer selection. I love to try different kinds of beer. Also they are one of the few places in St. Louis that carries Hitachino White Ale. It’s my favorite! If the servers were more eager to serve I’d give it 5 stars!

It’s nice you can order from Mission Taco and Epic Pizza. I’ve been here a number of times and the ladies behind the bar are not very customer friendly… sorry to bother you.

I was just doing some sightseeing around STL and was heading toward downtown. I was going to stop into a popular smokehouse but was promptly(and not politely) informed they were closed.(Unlike this BBQ joint, I turn off my open sign at my business when we are closed) So, enough about that experience. It is amazing how quickly an afternoon can turn around. I saw a sign for International Tap House just down the street. WOW! In addition to 44 tap handles, there are 10 large cooler doors full of different bottled beers.(Approximately 60 different beers in each cooler!) I was not overwhelmed as each shelf in the cooler was clearly labeled to show what type of beer was in each section. Although I had an idea what I wanted, Penny was quick to see that I need some liquid refreshment. I explained what I was looking for and she hit the nail on the head. This girl knows her beers! I had an overall great experience and intelligent conversation.(while she kept the other patrons happy) I will definitely be back! Tell Penny that Rick from Phoenix sent you!

iTap was my go to place when I lived in Soulard and I try to make it back there as often as I can(I still think it’s better than the CWE location). Really great atmosphere and lots of TVs to watch whatever game is on. There patio is also great when it’s nice out. The addition of Mission Taco, along with Epic, makes ordering in food really easy! Agreed that sometimes the staff can be difficult to flag down, but they’ve always been friendly and helpful when picking out a new beer to try. Also, Emily, one of the bartenders, is a boss and knows her beer. The place can get crowded on the weekends, so if you plan to watch a game there you should get in early.

Worst service I’ve ever had. I’ve worked at bars before and I understand that on a Friday it can get fairly busy. However, all it takes is 5 seconds to say that you will be with a customer and that is all they need. I and my friends stood at the bar for 15 min trying to get any kind of acknowledgment. I saw 2 waitresses eyeball me, but walk away. I saw 4 bartenders serve the people around me without so much as a, «I’ll be right with you.» I watched as a manager, I would assume, walked right up and schmooze the people around me and my friends without even a glance in our direction. We left the place and went across the street to Llywelyn’s Pub where we were treated like welcome customers. I will never visit ITAP again.

From someone who is not particularly a self-proclaimed beer lover, ITAP always has me coming back for more! Their selection is incredible, the staff is friendly and accommodating(and willing to give you tasters!), and the setting/atmosphere has an all-are-welcome kind of feel. There is an effortless cool factor when you walk in(or maybe that’s just the feeling I get?). Prices are comparative to other bars in the area, erring on the side of a little more expensive but they offer weeknight happy hour deals as well as later evening deals. What makes it 4 stars for me is the fact that Epic Pizza is next door! Their pizza is insanely good, using fresh ingredients to make some of the best bare-bones thin crust pizza I’ve had during my time as a student in St. Louis. The potential beer-pizza combo makes for a great night spent with great company. I’ve yet to drop in for their Trivia Night on Tuesdays, but I’ve heard great things and am hoping to participate in 2015! From someone living in Soulard, ITAP is a place that I enjoy frequenting!

Beer! They’ve got it all, draft, bottled and can. They’ve got local, regional and out of state craft beers. They’ve even got the boring major brewery beers for those who like that type of brew. To be honest, I accidentally found ITAP. I wasn’t paying attention to the entrance as I was going to Epic Pizza. It was a Monday and when I pulled on Epic’s door it was locked(they don’t open till 5PM). Not paying attention as I stated, I tried the door to the left and presto, I was in beer heaven. Once the bartender explained to me that I was in a different biz, I was impressed with knowledge of beer. She answered questions and got us set up with a couple of chilled draft beers. Then she made my night, telling me Epic will deliver to us here at ITAP. We enjoyed some beers on the side patio. Then we went next door ordered pizza and wings and continued to enjoy more beers on the patio. With or without the pizza, ITAP is a great place to enjoy a cold one.

This was a tough one. Any spot that has a tap list like iTap is going to start off high on my list… but, there was a bizarre lack of warmth when we got through the front doors that was starkly off-putting. Other reviewers mentioned the lack of service and we saw that first hand… It felt like a local joint that wasn’t interested in new people showing up. We tried the Founder’s Porter, Rogue Hazelnut Nectar, Old Rasputin, and Ferguson Pecan — all good. The Pecan was weirdly sweet though, to the point we thought it could have been the Ace Pear directly next to it – but it was nice nonetheless. iTap does not have food as many have mentioned, but the ability of spots on the street to deliver to your seat is pretty rad — we had pizza(reviewed separately). Perhaps next time we show up we’ll get a little nicer reception and I can bump these stars a little.

First off let me say that this place has a huge beer selection. It delivers that has promised. That is as far it goes. Me and my boyfriend walked in the door. It was slow so we had our choice to sit where ever we wanted. We chose to sit at the bar. And sit. And sit. And sit. Meanwhile three people behind the bar, all made eye contact none even said hi. Now if it was me I would have left at this point, but my boyfriend is from out of town and a bit of a eer enthusiast so I stayed a little longer. I asked the bartender who had been talking to the guy two seats down and kindly asked her for a beer menu. She handed them to us, and silly me thought she would have said hi or asked if we had questions or even try to take our order. We looked at the menu and after careful thought made our choice closed the menu and placed them at the head of the bar to signal we were ready. She was after all standing in the same place talking to the same guest. And I wait… And I wait… And I wait. Two songs worth. Just as we were about to leave another bartender says«can I help you?» My guy explains that we almost left and why. Not much sympathy but we ordered, only to find out that the menue that was handed to us was not an updated list. Yep you guesed it both beers were not available. Look you hae a beer list of hundreds of beers, being available to answer questions, make suggestions is what you are here to do. I’ll go to Cicero’s for my plethora of fancy beer.

While recently visiting St. Louis it quickly became apparent that it might be challenging to easily find local beers other than Bud, Bud Light and all those flavorless, boring beers produced by Anheuser Busch InBev. I assumed St. Louis was a beer town and with that a hotbed of microbreweries, while it was difficult to find the breweries themselves, I did find the International Tap House instead. What a fantastic beer bar. The bar itself is one of the best thought out designs I’ve seen. With taps located in the middle, glass door coolers holding bottled beers organized alphabetically by country, frame each side. Clean, long lines with uncluttered walls behind the bar make for a European look. However IT House IS about beer and here I found all the local brews from St. Louis. With the help of IT’s knowledgeable bartenders I tried 3 fantastic microbrews: Square One, 4 Hands and Urban Chestnut, all big beers with developed notes and nice finishes. For one stop beer tasting or drinking International Tap House is the place. Regarding parking, I’m from Los Angeles and although Soulard is a busy, happening neighborhood I would trade your parking situation with mine any day.

Man, I always have a good time here. Most of the time my wife and I or sometimes, my buddies and I end up here after an afternoon cards game, and it’s never been too crowded. The parking in soulard always sucks, but we always find a way. The patio is awesome, the beer cap mosaic is radical, and I like the fridgerated wall of beers behind the bar with it’s massively long tap board. As you’ve read in other reviews on here,(we all start sounding the same) you’ll find food not in this bar but right next door at the pizza place and iTap has an entrance from within its location… that’s cool right? Look, I’m not any kind of beer connoisseur but I am super adventurous with alcoholic beverages and if you are like me and willing to try anything new… iTap has plenty of options to fulfill that want with a super cool atmosphere to accompany it with. Like i said too, although the parking blows… the area in it’s own right is historical and super jive.

This place definitely deserves a solid four stars. You’ll be extremely happy if you’re a beer fan here. They’ve got quite a selection of draft beers and you’ll be sure to find something that makes you happy. IPA’a, framboise, cider, you name it! They’re sure to have something you’ll like. Even if you aren’t a beer fan, try their cider. It’s surprisingly good. One thing I do like about this place is that the bartenders are extremely knowledgeable. One of my friends was deciding between a few different drinks and the bartender helped suggest a cider that she would really like. I’m normally not much of a fan of sweet drinks, but this one was really great! It had quite a bit of sweetness but it was also well balanced with a little bit of tartness too. I wish I remembered the name so I could add it for later. Highly recommend this place is you’re a beer lover or even if you’re beginning to explore.

Alright! As many of my Yeeps already know, I’ve had my issues with ITap’s Soulard location. Dealing with the bartenders at first was less than appealing at times, and I was never satisfied with the service. However, seasons change and so can I! I’m giving ITap Soulard a bump! Laundry night is inevitable, and finding the best hangout spot during the process can be tricky. I still haven’t set foot in Llywelyn’s Pub in over a year. Carson’s is still out of the question. And Bogart’s is usually closed when I get down there. The ITap and Epic Pizza combo truly is the best option. First of all, I cannot say no to the selection. ITap has one of the best varieties of draft beer in town. Also, I can delve into their huge cooler full of bottles and cans if I’m not feeling the taps that evening. I never have any problems finding a beer to enjoy at this place. The specials are pretty solid, too. Monday is the best night. They offer half price off half of the draft beers from eight to close. On Wednesdays, they take a dollar off a brewery of the manager’s choice. I usually end up there on Wednesdays, but Monday truly is the best night to go there. The staff is getting better. I don’t know if I had to become a regular to win them over, which does sound bad, but I do feel like the service has improved drastically. Unilocal and you shall receive! I definitely feel more at home. All you craft beer nuts need to check out ITap Soulard! International Tap House, you are officially removed from my Turdburglars list. Congrats!

Beer beer beer! And what else… the Packers!!!(Don’t forget to bring food) I go here during football season to watch the packers. They play the game on almost every tv and play the sound over any other game… including the rams. I know Lester’s in CWE also plays sound, but you can barely hear it there. Itap is a bigger place and they crank the volume up! The bar itself is very large and has a GREAT selection of beer, obviously. They don’t serve food here but you are welcome to bring in your own meal, or there is a pizza place attached that will bring your order to wherever you’re sitting.

This place is cool. Definitely somewhere I’d hang out regularly if I lived in the St. Louis area. Dedicated to beer, they rotate their 30 or so tap selections every week, and offer a 10 page front & back BINDER full of bottled selections. I love it! The binder(and even the chalkboard) classifies their offered beers by country, type of beer, and even percentage alcohol content. They have a little something for everyone, including ciders and fruit lambics. This place can be classified as a sports bar, with huge televisions stationed on any games that might be playing. However they also have a live musician, who, I must admit, is actually legitimately talented! The building itself is very spacious. For a Saturday night, I was thankful to not feel like I was getting suffocated by the beer breath of patrons around me. There is no food or wine here. If you want to scratch that itch, the pizza place next door will gladly deliver to the bar. But the Tap House has no kitchen, so don’t go expecting your typical bar foods. After originally planning to go to a different beer place, this was recommended to me by a local business owner, and I am so glad we took her advice. I really liked this place!!! The staff are friendly and helpful, even offering great suggestions to a friend of mine ordering a flight. It’s unfortunate that my own city doesn’t have anything that holds a similar candle, but it gives me a reason to come back to St. Louis and hang out!
