Love the food here. Great Irish food but also classic American dishes. I’ve never had a bad experience. Happy hour has great specials too. Great selection of beers on tap. Get a souvenir cup with a soda purchase.

Living nearby I had a bad experience waking up to an employee screaming the other morning in the back lot at somebody on her phone. Addressed it them and shortly I had a reply saying they were extremely sorry for the lady out back. Very sincere apology. Informing me said woman no longer works for their company. Thanks for the quick reply and apology. Also I’ve eaten at Llewellyns multiple times and enjoy their food and the atmosphere. Give it a shot.

We ended up here last weekend and it was a bust. The food was cold, the service slow and the manager came out to apologize and just blamed everything on the kitchen staff. It was pretty unprofessional. Half of our party’s dinner came out quickly and then the other half came 20 minutes later. It was awful.

The bartender was incredibly nice last night. She was very friendly and efficient. She took care of everyone quickly and without being prompted. She was incredible.

I’ve been here to pregame and drink out with friends, but this morning my friends and I decided to give Llywelyn’s brunch a try. Bad decision. We each ordered different entrees and drinks. When we ordered a second round of drinks it took another 10 – 15 minutes to get them because the bartender had to step out to fix speakers? We started to notice other tables that came in after us were getting their food and we still hadn’t been served. I grabbed a different waiter and asked about our food. Five minutes later they brought out food that looked like it’s been sitting under a heat lamp for 10+ minutes. When my friend asked for them to remake it they said they’ll «work on making it warm for her.» Sure enough they brought our her French toast and it was soggy– obviously heated in the microwave. She said she didn’t want it. We asked for our checks and Drew charged her for the French Toast! Can’t believe it. Had to wait 10 minutes for our check and other 10 for our change. The manager never came out to appoligize for this mess either. Sad to say, but none of us will be returning for food.

Food is good and great beer selection. Service is pretty terrible most of the time unless your sitting at the bar.

Good place for a drink, pretty average pub, St. Louis staple. Typical pub fare, good got pretzels and a variety of fried stuff. They do have some traditional Irish fare.

2 Stars for my 2for2 trying to order the 3−3−3 Grilled Cheese, only to find it isn’t available. Please let us know what isn’t available to start out with, or take things off the menu if they are chronically unavailable. The Pub curry was meh. White rice instead of basmati, and the flavor wasn’t really curry. Not a recommendation. Not a stellar performance.

Awesome happy hour deal, especially drink prices. We went on a Monday with all you can eat wings and they left much to be desired. Chicken tasted freezer burned and the hottest wings were mild at best. But the fries/tots/waffle/sweet potato medly more than made up for it.

I think there are better spots in Soulard, but Llywelyn’s is able to accommodate large groups so my party of 15 opted to choose this spot. The food is decent, nothing to write home about but they have a wide variety of options and the ability to make everyone happy. Drinks are reasonably priced, mixed drink options and plenty of beer options.

Bought one drink. Wasn’t told there was a $ 20 dollar minimum. A $ 20 charge was put on my credit card. If there’s a minimum that’s great, but at least tell your customers. Didn’t know you were that hard up for money. lol. Won’t be back and urge other people not to support the business.

I love this Llywelyn’s as much as I don’t love the CWE one. Same menu, but the food actually tastes good here – burger, sweet potato fries, pretzel, and shepherd’s pie are all very good, especially the burger. Much friendlier service, too. Don’t forget to ask about the drink specials!

I went to another one of these places and liked it. Here not so much. Beer selection just mediocre compared to the others. Rude service today No beer list to make a selection. Just a chalk board with half the beers listed as «guest taps» But they don’t make their own beer? So why guest taps? Food looked over priced.

If I was thinking of a bar to go in Soulard, Llywelyn’s would be towards the end of the list. It’s not that it’s a bad bar by any means, but compared to everywhere else in Soulard, the food, atmosphere and service are pretty basic.

Amazing service!!! You can tell these guys have been around for a long time and know what they are doing. It was a very busy Saturday afternoon before a Cardinals game but despite that our table was checked on very frequently and our glasses were never empty. Definitely try the hot wings. Not as large as some other chains’ wings but that’s because they don’t buy chicken they were raised with hormones and steroids! Very flavorful and juicy chicken wings and perfectly crispy. Also, I couldn’t decide on what to drink but the waiter was so patient even though he was very busy and he even opened a bottle of beer just to let me try it and said if I decided I didn’t like it I didn’t have to pay for it. I love it when a place goes above and beyond for their customers. That’s how it should be! Definitely will be coming back here!!!

I’ve been a few times, and the bartenders have been rude on each occasion. They seem agitated to serve people(it’s not my fault they studied arts history in college). At one occasion, they had to resort to serving beer in plastic Dixie cups because they ran out of glass pints. That is just totally unacceptable, and annoying! Llywelyn’s is for the more suburban crowd, the metro East folks who flock to more chain bars to feel more at home. I feel that Llywelyn’s doesn’t belong in Soulard. I won’t be coming back.

If you like processed cheese, you’ll love the cheese steak. I was not a fan and should have just ordered it plain since meat was quite taste for a lunchtime snack. Pepsi is always flat at this location.

I really wanted to LOVE this place. I had gotten my hair done and was hungry. I walked in and was a bit confused. there was a private party going on and it took me a minute to realize this. I went ot sit in the bar. I sat down and kept feeling something touching my head. one of the flags hang, was brushing up against it. scared the tar out of me. I ordered a steak sandwich with the other cheese not the cheese that comes on it. with fries. Like i said I wanted to LOVE this place. I found that it was ok. it has been a couple weeks since I went and I really can’t remember what I ordered. I ordered the white chil. I really don’t think it tasted like chili at all. It is not like Seamus where I love everyhing on the menu. it was just ok.

On our way to an event in Forest Park, we decided to stop in Soulard for happy hour and to enjoy the gorgeous weather St. Louis had been blessed with this particular day. We made our way to a table outside with plenty of time for happy hour. However a waitress took their time(they weren’t busy yet) to come out and we put our orders in at 5:58pm and were told happy hour was over. Our party was not happy to hear this as we had been sitting there for awhile. The waitress ran in and ended up granted us the prices per her manager. Which was nice! The drinks and appetizers flowed as the weather stayed nice. Our food was good as always and we loved seeing just how the shuttle works for the sports games. If you’re looking for just a snack, get the pretzels. You won’t be disappointed!

I came here with my dad while doing my laundry at Soulard Soap next door. The bartender was friendly and the place wasn’t very busy, so we hit it at a convenient time, I know this is a poppin spot. I ordered a double shot of Dr. McGillicuddy’s Apple Pie shaken with ice. FIRE.

Whether your looking for a great place to grab lunch or a drink with friends Llywelyn’s is a fine choice. All of their locations are pretty much the same but this Soulard location is always a winner! They’re never very busy on the weekdays or Sundays so if you’re looking for a decent meal in the area with quality service Llywelyn’s is a solid choice. If you’re going here for a drink, I highly recommend getting the house made chips with cheese or the soft pretzel(s). If you’re choosing between the two, get the pretzels. There are very few things I enjoy more than a nice soft pretzel and Llywelyn’s makes em’ right.

I stopped in here to meet up for a Unilocal Happy Hour event this week and really didn’t find myself getting all googly-eyed for the place. I wouldn’t say Llywelyn’s is a bad place to have a beer, but there wasn’t much to really draw me back in. That said, I’m not the«bar» type, and a great selection of craft beers doesn’t really do it for me. I really wanted the Porch Rocker that was on the menu, but was told it was just taken off tap, which was a disappointment for me. I found something else to try, an old go to, but really wasn’t interested in trying something new at the moment. On the food side of things, my burger was pretty good, again nothing to gawk at but a solid burger with good flavor, steak fries on the side, filling but not overwhelming. Service was pretty attentive during the happy hour, but as our group dwindled down to 3, the service also dwindled, despite a rather empty building. On one occasion we had to flag someone down for another round, albeit our waiter did return moments later to check on us. Too late, buddy, someone else is on it. This place is an alright stop for a beer or two, but probably not my first choice in the area. Not a lot of patio seating for one, unless I missed a giant patio in back. Soulard is fitted with plenty of large patio spaces, so unless it is blazing hot outside, I prefer the breeze and fresh air.

WHat can I say? The service was good the selction was good the food was alright. Nothing I would come out of my way for. I had the roast beef, not gonna lie, kind of tasted funny. I ate half. The fries were really good; I could have ordered a large plate of those and been satisfied! My dates burger was pretty good. The white chili was actually awesome. I’ll come back if I’m invited, ut it wont be my first choice.

I love this place for happy hours or dinner and drinks. I’ve been here several times and have always been impressed. You never have to wait on a table and service is usually pretty fast. They have tons of drink options and a huge variety of food. My friend and I split the spinach artichoke dip(which is to die for) and then split the black bean burger with sweet potato waffle fries. The black bean burger was so flavorful and the bread was fresh and soft. It’s a perfect spot in soulard because it’s within walking distance to many other places!

Excellent happy hour choices. Never have to wait for seating. Sometimes your waiter/waitress is hit or miss, but for the price, you can’t beat it. Also, the sweet potato waffle fries are FABULOUS. Highly recommended.

Llywelyn’s is a pub in Soulard. I know that isn’t really a much of a description but that’s kind of all you can say. Grab a beer or a drink. Both are reasonably priced but not particularly inventive. The staff has always been very friendly and know how to handle pleasant and unpleasant patrons. Pro’s– Come in before a Cards game, order a beer to go and ride the trolley to the game and back for free. Excellent experience.

Great patio! I know there are several Llywelyn’s around and I think I’ve honestly never been to any of them! I was very torn between getting a regular menu item and getting the Lenten special, since it was my first time. In the end I could not turn down the fisherman’s basket, it’s a trio of fried fish and it was delicious. We arrived around 730⁄8 and I’m not sure if that is early for their normal crowd, but there were not very many people around. Service was a little slow, but we were not in any kind of rush so it was okay. I will definitely remember Llywelyn’s when I’m looking for a fun patio and a cool place to hang out this summer.

This was my first time and Lywelyn’s, We wanted to get something to eat, and watch some March Madness, my friend wanted to watch Nascar. The waitress was so accommodating. They had three screens in the bar any sports nut would have been happy: The Blues on one screen, March Madness on the big screen and Nascar on the third screen. We ordered some beer and wine. Our waitress returned quickly and took our food orders. I got the melt, it had ham, pulled pork, melted swiss and some kind of special sauce… Amazing. I also go the sweet potato waffle fries, I could not clean my plate. My friend ordered the flatbread grilled chicken thing. It was messy but so good. We had a few more drinks watched some sports and went home happy… Great place. It will be on my list of places to return to when in Soulard.

I’ve been to this Llywelyn’s a couple of times in the last month, once for happy hour and again Saturday for lunch. Our 6-yr old loves their food, we like their happy hour prices and their stadium shuttle. The atmosphere is kind of «unauthentic pub» and seems a bit outdated. The only reason we went Saturday was because Bogart’s line was too long. We had a bowl of crab bisque, recommended by the waitress, fish and chips(with chips, not fries), kid’s sliders and one pretzel stick. To be honest, the pretzel stick was the only stand-out and with three beers, lunch set us back over $ 50, so we thought that was kind of steep. You’d think on Saturday mid-afternoon they’d have some beer specials, but no. We were much happier with our happy hour visit, when they have, as I recall, $ 3 pints and half-price apps. They have a nice selection of beers on tap. I had the Schlafly Brown Dragon Ale, which you don’t see often. I can’t really recommend this place as a destination unless you want to be sure and have enought room for a big group, or if you’re going for happy hour.
