Moo goo gai pan was bland. Dine in food was served in to go containers. Interior is old and outdated. Staff was helpful and friendly. No reason to go back though.

Yuck. Where to begin. Our usual place was closed for a family vacation and so we tried this place based on the decent review here on Unilocal.Either people in S. County have really crappy taste in Chinese food or they were having an off night in the kitchen. My lo mein was filled with little chucks of meat that did not really look or taste good, whatever happened to nice large cuts of beef that actually looks like beef. The noodles felt more like something at Pasta House than in a Chinese restaurant and the veggies were a soggy mess, no crunch or snap to any of them. My sons fried rice was bland, flavorless, no egg, no seasoning, nothing just bland yuck, we all took a bite and then tossed the whole container. My husband’s meal was equally unimpressive and he repeated himself throughout the whole meal that we would not be returning to this place. The price was less than our usual place but the food was lousy so I’d rather pay more and get better food. If you want really good Chinese food try the place by Sam’s on Lemay, blows this place away.

This place was awful! Cold food, flavorless, and poor service. We got something traditonal that we knew we would like, Kung pow chicken and fried rice and both were far from delicious. We didn’t even finish the food and opted to go eat elsewhere. I would not recommend this place to anyone and I will never be returning.

My husband and I always call Panda when we’re looking to satisfy our takeout Chinese craving. They’re always great about our special orders and delivery is friendly and prompt. Remember to get the crab Rangoon!

This is the best Chinese we’ve found in the South County area! Very friendly staff, quick turnaround time, and most importantly, delicious food. Both the Sesame Chicken and the Chicken Chow Mein were excellent with a nice grilled flavor. We ordered carry-out and each combo meal was enough for another meal. Highly recommend.

The food is always delicious. The crab rangoon are of the sweet variety, and I highly recommend the soy-based schezwan chicken. Only downside is that they don’t have vegetable egg rolls.

THE best vegetable lo mein I’ve ever had. After I moved out of the area they made a special trip to deliver to me. 25 minutes away!

After reading the reviews on Unilocal. We decided to order from Panda Chinese Restaurant. When the food arrived we were thrilled by the fragrance of the Singapore Noodles. Everything looked good. Eating the food was a totally different experience. Everything tasted like it had been cooked in old, overused, bordering on rancid oil. Best Crab Rangoon in South County? I may have to move. It was dripping grease and not edible. The Kung Pau Chicken tasted suspect and rotten. Just horrid all around

A delicious Americanized Chinese restaurant! I honestly have nothing to complain about here. The best time to come would definitely be for lunch, they have regular sized lunch meals for under $ 5! This is pretty impressive to me. Not to mention, the family who owns it is just absolutely so sweet. Definitely try this restaurant out!

i’m still in search of a better Chinese food choice in the entire city of St. Louis. I don’t want a buffet… this is number three for me and the food was good for the price… you get a lot of food and the prices are a couple dollars cheaper than they are elsewhere. I don’t even mind the location or look of the inside — we did dine in and it was nice and cozy… so I am not being a diva… so what is my problem. When I get sweet and sour chicken i expect to have some pineapple onions and peppers in there… mostly i hanker for a couple chunks of the pineapple and for some reason a ton of these little joints don’t prepare it that way… The crab rangoon were deserving of five stars… they were wonderful… lots of cream cheese and the perfectly crispy — My husband had the general chicken and I didn’t notice one sprig of broccoli in there either. I would go again as this beats the first two places I tried and it is close to work at the end of the evening. But I’m still on a quest for a little higher quality of food.

I’m giving it 4 stars for what it is: Chinese take out. I found this using my handy dandy Unilocal app when I was too tired to cook or change into something acceptable for the public arena. I believe we had beef and broccoli, chicken lo mein, egg rolls, and crab Rangoon. Everything was good and the portions were ridiculous!!! If only there were a Thai carry out in south county…

This is the best Chinese carry out in South County. A family owned restaurant with a friendly courteous staff, prompt service and great tasting food. The best Hot & Sour soup anywhere.

Finally! A decent Chinese carry out for this area! The outside of this place looks blah. I have seen this place before and just kept going because it looked dreadful from the outside. I didn’t even bother to go in here until I saw a few reviews from my fellow Unilocalers. Looks are deceiving as this place has good Chinese food. The dining area is a little bigger and a lot cleaner then the average take out place but it is not high scale dining by any means. Though it does show that they take pride in their restaurant, at least from the inside. I dreaded asking for something specially made that was not on the menu but they accommodated me without pause and I have ordered it every time since with no problems. I had the Chicken and Pineapple dinner without breading on the chicken, with extra pineapple, broccoli & bean sprouts only. The chicken is not cut up chicken breast but it is better then all other Chinese food places where I have tried non-breaded chicken versions of this. The rice was good.(If you have had good rice then you know there is a difference. I just learned this myself in the last 5 years or so.) The egg roll was *very* good. My husband had the General Tsao Chicken and loved it. — — — - Easily the best choice for take out Chinese food in this area! I really enjoyed the egg roll and I don’t believe I have *ever* complimented a Chinese restaurant for that! Service is very friendly and very very easy to order from! Give it a try!

My husband and I tried Panda tonight for the first time. The only things I had heard about it were from Unilocal so after a long day at work and not wanting to cook we decided that Chinese take out sounded pretty good. The only problem was that we didn’t have a menu and they didn’t have a website. I called the number and the girl that answered was really friendly. I told her we had no idea what they had to offer and she gladly went through many of their popular dishes and patiently answered any questions that I had. We decided on orange chicken, kung pao shrimp, crab rangoon, and fried rice… we were hungry. Anyway the order was ready in about 10 minutes and the portions were huge. I think we had about 10 pounds of food(seriously) and there was plenty left for at least 2 more dinners. Also all that was only $ 27. I was really expecting at least $ 40. The food was delicious. It wasn’t the best orange chicken I have ever had, but it was very good. We both loved the fried rice and crab rangoon, and my husband said the kung pao was also very good. Overall we really liked Panda. I am sure there will be many more phone calls to them in the future… especially since it’s on the way home from work. If you’re looking for good Chinese take out in South County give Panda a try!

This is one of my family’s favorite Chinese restaurants in St. Louis. I’ve never been disappointed with the quality of food and have not found any of it to be overcooked(and we’ve been there at least a dozen times over the past several years); the vegetables are always nice and crisp. The crab rangoon is among the best I’ve ever had. I usually order the same thing every time I go, and that’s the spicy Sauteed Happy Family which is very delicious. The staff of this family-run business are all very friendly, too. They no longer serve the food in the styrofoam or aluminum trays… they now have nice microwavable bowls(similar to Tupperware) that make it easy for you to take your order home when you can’t finish it(and trust me, you’ll be taking some home). The only negative thing about this place is its dining room, which is admittedly bland and boring, but it’s not enough to keep us from eating there. We do go out of our way to go to Panda, and if you go in late December or early January, they’ll give you a wall calendar if you ask for one, too.

This is a strictly carry out Chinese restaurant. I would not even attempt to eat here, it’s small and feels like you are sitting in a sketchy strip mall, which face it, you are. However, the food is pretty darn good, the prices are good(for Chinese at least which I find to be the most overprices stuff in the world). This is actually my back up Chinese restaurant. Whenever Hunan Royal closed, we trek down to this section of Tesson Ferry instead to get our Crab Rangoon, Steamed veggies, fried rice, and sweet and sour chicken. I absolutely adore this crab rangoon too. It’s filled with cream cheese and you can actually find the chunks of crab in there. Since this is my one vegetarian lapse food, I never mind breaking down and gnawing down on this. Their steamed veggies are crispy and fresh and never disappoint. They have all the same standard Chinese fare of all good restaurants. From Sweet and Sour Chicken to General Tao’s Chicken to my personal favorite, veggie lo mein, and none of it has ever been bad. The portions are also huge, so expect to be eating this the next day for lunch. I mean, is that really a problem for you? Even the fortune cookies are crispy and good… how often does that happen?

If you love crab rangoon, you must eat Panda’s crab rangoon, because it is the best I’ve ever had BYFAR! I’ve also never had better orange chicken! You get good chunks of chicken. Not just a bite of batter(you know what I mean). My fiancé always gets veggies. Good quality. Also…plan on taking at least half of your order home. Cons: absolutely no environment inside; no brown rice

This is a slightly below average(but not terrible) Chinese take out place. The portions are large family style portions that are served in tin foil and styrofoam containers even if you happen to eat in. The dining room has a couple of booths and is brightly lit by fluorescent lights. It’s very much a fast food kind of place. The food is over cooked and very saucy. Nothing special. The menu has all the regulars you would find on typical Chinese takeout menu. Can’t really recommend it. It would be a fine place to stop for a bite if you happened on it and were hungry for some mediocre Chinese, but nothing to go out of your way for.
