His demeanor is lacking once you’ve been browsing for awhile. The collections are impressive, but the curator never lets the items leave. The upstairs gallery is a faded glory. This man may be the incarnate of Seinfeld’s version of the ribbon taskmaster.

This is an interesting curiosity shop filled with unique items, although not all of them are as one-of-a-kind as the owner would suggest since contrary to the shop’s tagline I did indeed recognize many items from my childhood at my grandmother’s house. Unfortunately, the shop isn’t big enough to hold the owner’s ego. He was condescending and I grew tired of the superficial lectures.

The best antique shop. Like the Paris flea market, only better. And closer.

The owner, Rick Ege, is a wonderful man with a sincere appreciation for antiques and his customers. He hand picks vintage and found objects from across the world to create a wonderfully edited look of slightly edgy, fun, playful pieces for your home.
