I had a horrible experience at Kala Spring this past Friday. I was given a gift certificate for an 80 minute massage and got up and left after 40 minutes. The massage therapist was fine, not great, but that wasn’t the problem. The room was beyond freezing, the table warmer was not working and apparently neither was the space heater in the room. After multiple complaints, I finally just got up.
The most troubling part of this was I informed the manager of the issues (I believe I was speaking with the owner, Pamela Wallace). She did not care to resolve the situation and was frankly rude and beyond obnoxious.
I understand that this is a no-​frills, chain-​type place. I had a 6 month membership to Massage Envy on High Ridge last year and never had issues like this. Do not spend your money at Kala Spring and go to Massage Envy if you are looking for an inexpensive massage.

I originally purchased a Living Social deal for Hand & Stone massage, but I was disappointed to see this location no longer existed when I wanted to schedule my appointment. It was replaced by Kala Spring Spa and they honored my voucher without any issues. I will admit that I initially went to my appointment not expecting too much, but I was pleasantly surprised. My massage was GREAT! Elizabeth was extremely attentive and worked out all of the knots I had in my neck, shoulder and lower back. She also gave me some advice on how I could alleviate some of the muscle pains associated with running and working out. I walked out feeling like a new person! Thanks, Elizabeth!
