I have visited the Wedge Inn three times over the years and it was outstanding each time I went there. Their meatball wedge is great. Their meatballs are very tasty and their marinara sauce is solid. I’ve been to a lot of fancy Italian restaurants that don’t have meatballs as good as theirs. Their steak and cheese/steak and pepper wedges were well-executed. This is a good place to go on a Saturday afternoon if you are off.

I have been going here for over a year now and in all that time it has been rare that they get my order right. Whether they don’t give me the correct number of items, or put ketchup on a sandwich when asked not to, it is always something. Up until now I have tolerated it because I understand that mistakes happen, and it helps that it’s so close to where I live. But today I received an order that was wrong yet again, to the point that my girlfriend couldn’t even eat what she got and I had to go to another restaurant. Because of their long track record of not being able to get my order right and mediocre food I will not be eating here anymore.

Great quality food that is well priced — their bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches rock!

A little off the beaten path, but worth the small hike away from the main haunts on Bedford street. Staff is friendly and food is always ready in a reasonable amount of time. A nice quiet lunch spot if you need a quick getaway from the office.

Good wedge sandwiches and good egg sandwiches for breakfast. Nice people too.

You will know right away when you walk in to this place that this is not a business that will last long. Poor attitude from the staffs when I ask about a menu item and check if my order is ready. The food is so so, and the worst part is how they give me the to-go box. They put a tray o food(with sauce) vertically(see picture) and did not let me know. Overall, this is the type of place you unluckily drop by once and will never come back again.

Great old standby for awesome wedges, my favorites are the philly chili cheese steak and the meatball parm. Just remember it’s a tiny place, try it out before 2pm.

As much as I wasn’t as hungry, the food here was really good. I liked the fries and the drinks here. My first cousin twice removed works here and we got a nice discount on it. Thankfully, she was very helpful. I’d go here again.

A pretty basic, casual diner. Order at the register and pick up food when ready. Quick service. The options are typical breakfast/lunch options. Okay for a quick bite or take out.

If your a local, you love it here. But fortunately me I only work in the area so I can make my own decision. So the wedge inn for many of my lunch breaks was always a good choice. But my last visit was by far horrible. I had the cornbeef ruben which I love and always get, but today was awful. I mean there was more sauerkraut then meat, the bread was soggy from the all the oil, and all together was just a bad experience. On top of the fact that is cost 10 bucks for this not so quite sandwich and soda. Will I return? Maybe Will I recommend? Sure

This is a kind of blast from the past, one of those little family owned fast food joints that are so often forced out of business by major corporations. I hope that never happens here, I’m all about the wedge inn. I usually get chili fries and lemonade.

I felt like I discovered something here since the Wedge Inn was off my beaten path. It is an unassuming building, but it hides some delicious food at cheap prices. I picked out the chicken and broccoli rabe sandwich, which I thought was great. This quite simply is one of the best lunch spots in Stamford for the price.

Just tried Wedge Inn the other night, got a Turkey Club. Didn’t love it, but didn’t hate it. I’ve also had the chicken fingers and fries which were pretty good. I’d like to try the breakfast items, but I don’t think I will frequent them for dinner.

I was in Stamford for an evening for the first time and I was drawn to this place by its charming décor. It reminded me of little joints from yesteryear. So I ordered my first wedge and it was quickly prepared and delicious. Nothing amazing in terms of culinary ingenuity, but just a delicious, hearty sandwich. And the price was cheap! I would recommend this pace to anyone.

I really wanted to like this place, as its décor/setting is so classic, suggesting a fabulous blue collar dive, tucked behind the Dairy Queen. Unfortunately the food has never been anything beyond barely edible. Utterly joyless unhealthy cuisine, among the worst kind, and the type that gives America a bad name. The Philly cheesesteak was dry and astoundingly flavorless. The breakfast special was as basic and grim as could be, the home-fries undercooked and exceedingly bland. Atmosphere/vibe was as depressing and dire as a tea party rally on every occasion and Ive heard a few customers spouting rhetoric that wouldn’t be out of place @ one.

Went here in Spring 2012 soon after moving down the street. Underwhelmed is an understatement. We were the only customers in there on a Saturday yet the service was still remarkably slow. I had a steak and cheese Italian-style, I believe, with chili cheese fries on the side. Fries were soggy not crisp and the sandwich was just not good. The staff did not seem to know what was on their menu and when I asked what«Italian-style» meant for the steak and cheese they said it was just peppers. Ok, I like peppers on my sandwich. Um, no. It wasn’t peppers, it was chili. Seriously, they gave me chili on my steak and cheese. Maybe I’m missing something here but why would I want to add ground beef to my steak? I told the young girl who gave me the sandwich that this isn’t what I ordered and she said, «Yes it is, you asked for it Italian-style.» I told her that she said it was peppers not chili and she didn’t seem to understand the difference. Seriously, I still remember the blank look on her face when I told her that chili isn’t peppers. I’m not sure what part of Italy puts chili on its steak and cheese but I would love to find out. On top of that the bread was stale. I want to give the Wedge Inn another chance to redeem itself but with so many other quality options in the area I haven’t had the inclination. I like mom and pop shops and try to support local over chain restaurants as much as possible but the variety of mom and pop shops in the area is simply too great(Jenna Marie’s is the best for sandwiches) to force myself into another potentially lackluster meal at the Wedge Inn. I would give 1 star but figure that maybe my one experience was uncommon. I will update my rating if I ever try this place again.

The service was kind of slow but we were able to find good chili and good sandwiches here. The price was really fair and even the clientele was friendly. The steak sandwich I had hit the spot. It wasn’t all too special but it was just what I wanted. I’d like to say my wife had the chili cheese dog with curly fries. She wasn’t too impressed with the fries. I forget what brand of soda they have on hand but its not a major brand and thusly, it’s small-brand deliciousness. We had a good time but we’re unlikely to come back here again.

Stopped in here for a pit stop. My friend who lives in Stamford said it was okay. Just tried the chili dog and a regular hot dog with curly fries and a lemonade. Wasnt bad the curly fries were really good and the chili dog had a nice kick. The dogs werent that big and seemed to be sittin on the grill for some time. Overall not bad but since we were hungry it had to do. Guess next time I will bypass hot dogs and try some of their specials.

This place is a landmark to me in Stamford. I love their steak wedge with cheese, chili and peppers. It is perfection! Unfortunately, I left out the cheese on my recent visit to cut down on the calories, but it was still slammin! I can’t really tell you about anything else this place has cuz that is all I ever order.
