The crew here works super hard and are the nicest. Open later then some of the libraries … Every campus should have one :-)

Went here to meet a friend last week. Service was speedy. It has quite a bit of seating space around it and also outside. Beware though that the parking lot is meter parking and costs $ 1.00 per half hour.

Drink order got lost in the shuffle, wasn’t about to wait an additional 20 minutes for a simple iced tea, left and went elsewhere

I basically only go here because it’s the only Starbucks I can walk to on a work break. It sucks. Like seriously, the line is always insanely long(I mean, it is on campus), plus they’ve gotten my drink wrong more times then they’ve gotten it right. And other than substituting milk out and not getting whip, I don’t really do anything crazy to my drinks, especially not for a lactose intolerant person. Anyhoo, they could learn to improve. Maybe can’t do much about the venue, it’s tight and kinda ugly(besides the obvious Starbucks touches). But they could improve on making beverages and getting enough employees to consistently meet demand.

Meh. It’s Starbucks. The baristas are competent and friendly, but it’s typically crawling with middle schoolers on field trips wanting coffee flavored desert drinks, which can make the line long. Good location, but if Philz was any closer I would definitely go there.

Disgustingly dirty and it is only 11:21am! THREEBARISTASBEHIND the counter — dull and not busing or cleaning and the womens restroom appalling.

Great starbucks spot on campus. Great energetic and nice baristas and don’t suffer from the typical problem of burning the milk. That is definitely much appreciated!

I ordered a grande caramel ribbon crunch frappacino with no whip! I waited for a bit before I could get my drink! The guy who made it made a creame version and topped it with whip! So I asked him to make another one with coffee roast because it was wrong! He thought it was a caramel creame frap! Ugh so then he makes my drink again correctly but still puts whip on it! Like dude seriously wtf! If he was new then it’s okay whatever, but if he’s been there a while then I’d suggest that barista to wake up! Sorry not sorry

Friendly staff, good service and right on campus. The ambience is still pretty Starbucks-y although it’s positioned in an open layout.

1. The baristas are super friendly even during a busy day! 2. They are quick to make each drink 3. There is coconut milk as an option too! The baristas was kind enough to tell me when I asked for soy. Totally love any other dairy milk option over soy, especially for health 4. Conveniently located on Stanford campus… Saved me during a busy tournament that was held on campus Will return when I am back on campus :)

Having dropped off a friend for his audition at the Stanford Jazz fest I realized it was too nice of a day to be indoors. I was also too lazy to go anywhere else. So I walked over from Dinkelspiel Auditorium and got myself an Iced Tea. Damn this place is inundated. There are only 3 folks working on a Sunday and they were crushed. Took a good 10 min to get my drink. They def need more staff! Took said tea and kicked it for an hour or so outside and enjoyed the nice sunny day.

I don’t know what we did to deserve this. .. but someone is using the Stanford Tresidder Starbucks as a training ground for new staff, without the training. Our crackerjack team of wiz baristas has been replaced by newbies who are just NOT making the grade on this campus location. Just as the higher prices were raised, the customer service and quality dropped — that doesn’t work for me. i.e. — Using something other than non-fat milk for the non-fat drink I ordered and when I pointed it out, «Excuse me, can you please confirm that you used non-fat in that beverage?», a confused staffer, looked at the carton that was out, then opened the fridge below and looked at another carton, put them both in the fridge and said, «Yep, I’m pretty sure that was the non-fat». Really? Pretty sure? i.e. — A latte with no foam, As I watched to make sure non-fat milk was used this time, I watched the pitcher of hot milk go into the latte with the spoon holding back the foam, and then the lid go on the drink. «Excuse me, could please add some foam to that latte?» «Sure» then he proceeds to hold the foam back with the spoon and let the last three drops of heated milk drip into the cup, and replaces the lid. Clearly the concept of foam is covered in an upper division class — not something needed for the beginners. i.e. — Quietly calling out drinks, «Non-Fat Latte» with no size or name to differentiate the drink from any other drink on the counter. The names are on the cups, as always. As I wait for my name to be called, my latte,(not sure if non-fat was used, not sure I’ll get foam this time), is getting cold and I am sad.

Somehow a miraculous thing happened… the planetary bodies aligned and created the best Starbucks coffee spot in the entire history of the universe. My first thought when I walked in Tressider was pure shock of seeing the place gutted and a Starbucks. After the initial trauma wore off I decided, well why not? After seeing the long line I thought I would walk out. But what happened instead was almost a parting of the sea. Starbucks baristas happy and joking while working like ninjas warriors!!! Yes it’s true! The Starbucks baristas worked that long line like PacMan eating power pellets and devouring Blinky Pinky Inky and Clyde. These baristas were happy, made recommendations and kicked out accurate coffee drinks SpeedRacer FAST with a joke and a giggle. Who knew this was possible at a Starbucks? Shucks I want what they are on… could it be… caffeine? Lost 1 star because their coffee beans are subpar. Gained 1 star because they had free cold ice water with cups to drink and the place was clean despite the avalanche of people. Free WiFi

Location 5⁄5: This starbucks is located in the middle of campus, in a convenient location near the bookstore. It is in the student center, surrounded by jamba juice, pandas, subway, and a few other great cafes at stanford. There is not a lot of space to sit, but there is an assortment of tables and chairs for you to be productive. Service 4⁄5: The workers are usually quick and efficient. I have no complaints about the overall service, and they seem to work well under pressure. I’ve never had to wait more than a few minutes for my drink(even during times of long lines) Crowd 2⁄5: This is probably the worst part of it. It gets SUPERSUPER crowded in the morning where the line is 20-people strong, threatening to go out the door. I would definitely avoid the morning rush(right before 9am classes) or the afternoon crowd after lunch.

Great convenient location, right in the midst of the Stanford campus. This Starbucks is a solid place for you to get your morning pick-me-up before heading to classes or work or afternoon treat. One thing to be wary of is the pre 9am rush, when EVERYONE on campus seems to be here. It can be around 10 min before you receive your order. After that rush though, the service is very quick. Lots of tables, chairs, and couches as well for you to do work and sip on your beverage.

Been here almost every day this summer. Beyond what one would expect from any Starbucks, the baristas here are amazing. They have a consistently high volume of customers to knock out all day due to the heavy foot traffic in Tressider but they always seem to keep the line flowing without sacrificing customer service. Staff is charming and attentive and in the rare moments when they’re not busy, they’re either re-stocking or keeping the place spotless. Awesome!

As a former Starbucks barista and now currently a student, I was super excited when I heard that a Starbucks had been put into Tresidder. However, that’s where the excitement ends. While the employees may be hit or miss, the drinks are almost always a miss. I can attest that 9⁄10 my drink is being made incorrectly, which ends with, at best, me holding a sub-par drink and $ 4 poorer. Looks like I’ll be sticking to Coupa from now on.

I was so giddy when I found out all the construction at Tresidder was going to be a Starbucks. I went this morning and wow, what an upgrade to the way that dining area used to look. It’s a full service Starbucks. They take Starbucks cards and will be taking Cardinal dollars soon(Fraiche doesn’t take Fraiche gift cards so they can accept Cardinal dollars). This morning, they were very well staffed and everyone was happy to be there. The best thing is that I can walk there from work in less than 5 minutes. I can forsee it getting super crowded when the students return though, so I’ll have to stick to off-peak hours when I visit.

Well it’s a Starbucks. A nicer one too, but you pretty much know what you’re getting yourself into. It’s not a Philz in coffee quality but it’s nice to get a bit of wifi if you don’t have a Stanford account any more. :) Incidentally, fraiche next door uses beans from Blue Bottle, but there’s a lot of variance in quality. TAP and CoHo have a strong food odor when you hang around there, but Starbucks/Tressider is just better ventilated. Big plus for long(er)-term coworking. 3-stars, +1 for making the Tressider food court a(slightly) nicer area for visitors and alums.
