I came here for cannolis and carrot cake. The cannolis were great, according to my very picky Italian father. The carrot cake icing was a bit too sweet, but we loved the cake. I’d like to try other cakes when I come back to visit.

Love their old fashion jelly donuts!!! I am not even a donut fan in general, but their old fashion jelly filled donuts are really fresh, and just the right amount of sweetness!!! My husband also picked up a box of raisin ring, and it was really fresh and delicious too! Some people commented that the stuff here are nothing. I need to say that, if you are the kind of people that appreciate good classic american dessert, than this is the place to go. They have use similar recipes even since they were opened on 1878!!! But if you are the people that looking for gourmet, fancy, trendy stuff, then i am sorry you might not be able to appreciate this place.

A Staten Island staple. My go to place for morning buns, muffins and danish. The people are friendly and the prices are great. Get there early on the weekend — there’s always a line!

I came here to get the Charlotte Russe dessert for my boss. This is a dessert he used to have as a kid, he’s 57 now. It’s pretty much a little paper cup of whipped cream. There is a tiny round disc of cake and a smidgen of jam/fruit of top of that. The rest? JUST4INCHESOFWHIPPEDCREAM. This costs $ 2.25? Nope, not again. I’m sure the other items are good, so don’t say NO completely, this experience was just a little bit of a bummer.

Best sugar cookies I’ve ever had. Ever! I’m not sure what is up with all the negative reviews. If I could only eat one cookie for the rest of my life, it would be their sugar cookies, hands down. No doubt about it!

What a great bakery. Everything is made daily and so fresh. All there cakes are great and don’t have that fake ness like all the big name bakeries out here. Mom n pop place you can’t go wrong buying anything from here. Truley a gem!

I was a bit disappointed with this bakery. All the things I bought were fresh, but they weren’t made with great ingredients and they were equivalent to store bought. I tried the cream cheese horn, the crumb cake, the jelly doughnut and Linzer cookie.

Great rolls, excellent pastries! Not a fan of the boxed cupcakes as I find them to have a peculiar taste. However, the cupcakes in the display case taste just fine although I have had better red velvet cupcakes. I never leave here without a package of Toll House cookies. There is usually a line here on the weekends but it moves quickly.

Saw this place from the road and had a feeling it would be good. I was right. Imagine what the original Entenmann’s might have looked like in the 1960s. Cute sales girls too(Staten Island is closer to Jersey Shore than NYC). I couldn’t leave without buying a box of raisin sugar buns and a mini crumb cake. The sugar buns were excellent — soft and moist, flavorful, good amount of raisins. Crumb cake was good, but not spectacular. I live in Manhattan, so not sure when I’ll be back, but I’ll try.

I walked into this cute little place the other day and I wanted to buy a cupcake. I bought a red velvet cupcake hands down worse cupcake ever. Walking into this place I thought there would be a wider selection. Honestly there’s better places then here.

Coming from a baker I feel I can say that I feel this place may have gone down hill over the last 200 years. I feel like I’m eating commercially made pie. Let down. I do however like the nostalgic feeling you get from looking at this place. You just don’t see places like this any more.

Oh my good god, I once ate about 5 of their cheese danishes in a row(and they’re not tiny) and nearly slipped into a sugar coma, but I could not stop myself. Their muffins, cakes, and cupcakes are always fresh and very delish. The bakery itself is tucked away, lonesome on a residential hill, but from what I understand has been there since the 1800s.
