Motel 6

It is very reasonably priced. The room, although not utterly and completely bathtub-​scrubbed-​with-​toothbrush-​by-​a-​robot-​so-​I-​would-​eat-​out-​of-​it spotless, is pretty clean. There is an outdoor pool. The twin bed room had a TV (electron tube type), 2 of those famous tiny soap bars, a small round table, a cabinet, an ironing board but no iron (front desk probably has?), a hair dryer, a couple chairs. In the spacious inviting lobby (by cheap motel standards) there is a microwave and the trademark free coffee from a machine that makes your cup. Towels were sufficient in size for the job. Easy access from I-​81 and convenient if you are visiting the Staunton area, right by an exit in Staunton. No restaurants within walking distance of motel, which is kinda off by itself, but the vending machine has orange juices, pastries, and a couple boxed meat dinners. Otherwise plenty of restaurants a short drive away and of course pizza can deliver to the motel, menus in the lobby.
