I have two words for this Goodwill and avoid it every time I drive by: over priced.

Looking for camping gear, did have a tent but it was new and above my budget. I found an organized denim section, and decent prices for near new pants for women($ 5ea) and a few bottoms for my kiddos($ 2.75ea). Brands were mixed between Mid way and generic but items were clean. Mainly clothes here, very little household treasures to shop through.

Went browsing for ugly Christmas sweaters here with my hubby & left empty-handed. I will say that I appreciated that the clothing & housewares were color coordinated & that things were kept fairly clean. The major downside for me was the selection. The racks & shelves were filled with outdated clothing and household items. Part of me doesn’t want to fault the store for this since they’re totally dependent on donations for their inventory, but I kinda have to hold it against them since this was ultimately why we didn’t buy anything.

Just left the Goodwill on March Ln. Havent been here in years and now i remember why! Shoes priced at $ 15! $ 21… What?! Found a HDMI cord priced at $ 10?! I can get that new at Big Lots for $ 7! Ended up just buying 2 pkgs of halloween makeup that sell for the same price as anywhere else. Major dissapointment considering id love to be able to shop here since the proceeds go to a good cause, but at these prices? NOWAY! Ill stick to Superior.

First of all I want to say that the employees are nice and my problem is not with the employees but the management. The products are a mix of used and new. The new products are mostly unsold items from target. Unfortunately prices in the last few months have skyrocketed. The worst is the fact that they use permanent marker on the clothing that does not wash out. Big turn off and frustrates the heck out of me. They should use washable markers so that when an item is washed the pricing will come out. Goodwill is the only thrift stores that uses this pricing method. They loosing using lots of customers by choosing this marker method. I have spoken with many customers who are also disgusted with the prices and stained garments.

The place is organized but the selection is odd Id say. The place is not that clean. The customer service is not that great. The new merchandise inventory is a cheap selection of things that will be useless eventually. The place needs an upgrade.

Goodwil store on March Lane is probably one of the worst thrift stores I have ever been at, not only their stuff is way over price for mostly poor quality items, but their customer service is also horrible; the way this store prices their items is just ridiculous, the whole rack of skirts is $ 3.00 dollars or up no matter the condition, serious don’t think they take the time to inspect the condition and quality of their items to give them a fair price which is I think why this Goodwil is going down the drain, I mean I who would want to pay $ 4.99 for a ripped skirt? you can probably get a new one at this price somewhere else, unless this store starts investing time on revising their merchandise I would not be going bad, the only reason I gave it 2 stars is because it helps a good cause, other than that PLEASESTAYAWAY you will be disappointed.

I’ve been to this Goodwill a couple times when I’m up visiting family. Goodwill gives you goods in exchange for your«business» to create jobs. No one goes here and thinks, «Today, I’m going to do a good deed and buy used goods to give some people jobs». Really, the only reason why people walk in, is to find a good bargain, find something nostalgic and walk down memory lane, and live on a budget. I’ve found some end tables for my family member’s bedroom, something that still needs furniture and personal touches. It’s very irritating that most of the items aren’t marked clearly; unless they’re picture frames, frames, books, or clothes. They write their prices with a black permanent marker ON the barcode, that is if the item is still in the box. I’ve been looking for a person weight scale for some time now. I dug and found 3 around the store. Only one which I could get on. The back, in marker looked like: T21+. When I brought it up to the counter, the employee snarled that it was $ 21. Uhhhh. For a dirty used scale? I can buy a new one, right across the plaza for $ 19! I overheard one of the employees say they don’t do their own pricing but really? You have to find a Goodwill employee for a price check. Which isn’t too hard. There is constantly someone around the store. I was actually even greeted upon entrance. They were a lot of RE(Room Essential) brand things, Target brand, which I hear a lot of their things come from. Not impressed though. Most were broken, and were only a buck or 2 off and really dirty looking. I’ll come in to sift through some of the jewelry, or look for a good book. That’s about it… The one thing that really irks me is the pricing. I feel like they need individual tags for things, so I’m not running around finding an employee to decipher messy black permanent marker…

i hate giving a bad review for any thrift shop, but this goodwill is the highest priced goodwill i have ever seen ! the clothing is a good deal, yet nothing else is ! i bought a fryer from them, they wouldnt let me test it, then when i called to complain that it diddnt work, they told me «we dont do refunds » so i called corporate and complained because they sell broken stuff ! once again, i get ignored. they rip people off !

I don’t know what all the fuss is about… really? It’s used clothes. Of course there are going to be ripped shirts, stained pants and broken home items. I shop here almost once a week. I’m in my mid-twenties and love a good bargain. I take my time, browse through everything. I have found tons of designer jeans, shirts, sweaters… you name it! Some with tags still on it. The staff knows my friend and I and lets us try on what we want. I’ve found home goods… all kinds of stuff. Plus, it’s all for a good cause. Lighten up. It’s used clothes.

Goodwill Industries of San Joaquin Valley As another poster mentioned, Goodwill’s stock comes from Target, a short distance away. Target’s garbage chute must funnel directly into the goodwill. I have to give them points for tenacity in pricing. They have a ‘take no-prisoners’ policy for charging the same, ‘too-high’ price for any shirt even ripped, ruined or stained. The highlight in marketing had to be when I asked an employee if they were still selling the statue that the head broke off of. She said, «It’s only missing the head» I said, «yeah, true, someone could just glue a Pez head to this Limoge.» Recently, they have decided that dirty knick– knack-doo– dads-thingys should cost as much or more than new, unused doo-dad thingys and charge $ 3-$ 5 dollars for the donations from the«dollar store». PFFFT! give them a raspberry. They need a star rating for«oh well»

I can appreciate that Goodwill gives 85% of their proceeds to good causes, but this location just doesn’t have anything special about it to keep me coming back. Most of their merchandise is clothing and yet, the clothes are bland. And their prices aren’t all that either. Compared to other thrift shops’ prices, they’re charging a bit more. I’ve also had bad experiences with the workers on several occasions. All of them having to do with my donations. I just don’t get it. I come in and I hand selected only my decent clothes to be donated and when I politely asked them where to put my donation bag, they give me attitude and get all frustrated with me for not knowing. What the hell?.. . So yeah, rude employees and boring merchandise. I think I’m gonna try a different location with this one.

The main reason I go to this thrift store is its location. Right on March Lane, right by Delta College. It is very convenient. As far as the merchandise and the store itself, they are pretty good. The aisles are organized and the staff is pleasant. The new thing is a bin of 5 things for a buck. It’s mostly school supplies, packs of greeting cards, that kind of little thing. You have to dig a bit, but what a bargain! Many things here come from Target, no doubt because it is less than a block away. There aren’t usually designer clothes, but at least brands you’d recognize at the mall(Old Navy, Gap, etc.) I have also bought decent dishware and household linens here. You just have to look and not be too picky.
