Great design of the bar and seating area inside the Tavern. Super comfortable, a good amount of space between the table rows, and sports games are at your disposal on giant HDTVs throughout. Specifically, there are 5 TVs up front, 4 on the back wall, 3 on the left side, and 2 on the right. Deal: 2 drinks for the price of 1 rom 3−7pm! Instead of a 16 ounce, you get a 32 ounce. Food was ok. The Cup of Minestrone vegetable soup(mushrooms included) comes with garlic bread. It could have used a bit more salt. The garlic bread was very basic tasting. The Pizza Fries with Meat Sauce(aka«Bolognese fries») were fine but didn’t really have a pizza flavor at all. It was basically non-spicy chili cheese fries, but with mozzarella instead of nacho cheese. I’ve had the pizza before, and I enjoyed.

I’m only given 2 stars because of the poor customer service from the Manager. I was there yesterday watching Golden State vs New York basketball game, there is 1 minute and 11 seconds left in the 4th quarter and New York is losing by almost 20 points(Garage time). So I ask the manager if he could please change the channel to the Minnesota vs Portland game(2nd Quarter score 22 – 21) and he responded«No I can’t, it just needs to end». I thought he was joking, but he wasn’t so I had to change sits at the bar so I could watch a better game. I though about this while I was having my second Beer and there was nobody else watching this game and if they were the game was practically over(This man simply didn’t want to change the channel). At least offer me some explanation why you couldn’t do it, Instead of killing my vibe.

This place is a jem! Honestly i was skeptical to go try it out but when we walked in the atmosphere was great the staff was funny i loved that there was barely any people(we did go in at like 11pm ish) but we got a nice booth and had a variety of beers and cocktails to choose from plenty of tvs if you wanna watch a game and the food was fantastic! I had the pizza fries with pepperoni oh man they were delicious and a good portio, n pizza was very good too and a decent 10″ sized perfect for two i think the only bad thing was the parking you have to park on the street and pay for a meter so take quarters!

This is what you’d expect from your average bar in the valley. It’s no laurel tavern, or any other new«trendy» bars that keep popping up all over Ventura. There’s no specialty beers, and the bartenders aren’t decked out in plaid shirts and sport a beard with thick plastic glasses. It’s a bit refreshing in that way however. You’re not surrounded by trendy hipsters who walk around in bow ties and suspenders, and the bar doesn’t play indie music. It’s just a god damn good bar, with no bullcrap to go along with it.

The only reason why I am giving this place One star is because the service is slow, they make mistakes, but the drinks are good when they listen, which is always second time around. The other concern I have is that the dbl charged my credit card but when I called the next day he quickly reversed the charges. The staff is nice, so I’m surprised by other reviews stating that they are rude-I haven’t experienced that. The absolute number one complaint is that they over serve the customers which concerns me as I understand we should all drink responsibly but when their thinking is already compromised with a slight buzz, they the servers have no problems with serving more drinks to that person instead of cutting them off. MADD would have a field day in this place. Most of these folks get into cars and drive obviously inebriated. I would like to see this cease. Other than that, its a hoping place. The staff is polite.

Ouch! $ 11 a shot… Kinda overboard. Took a really long time for the drinks to be delivered, but it’s not the waitresses fault, as they were very busy for Sunday football. Too expensive for a Sunday funday

Came here on a weeknight for dinner. Had to say the sizzling shrimp was amazing. Big pieces of tiger shrimp that you peel and eat. We ordered the antipast a salad which was great. My only complaint is that the artichoke tasted like it has been put in thr microwave. It was very dry and with a weird texture

Good food, chill people, friendly service. Had lunch with a large group of friends on a Sunday afternoon. It was a pretty big group so we all expected that it would take a while to get our food. We sat inside, although they do have a decent size outdoor seating area. It was a hot weekend so being inside was necessary after being in the sun all day. I had an iced tea with the egg plant sandwich. The sandwich came with a side of fries. I LOVE egg plant, and the best part is when it’s cooked throughly. The egg plant was completely soft. I would have preferred it on a wheat roll though. They had happy hour 2 for one deals after 3pm that day. We definitely ordered our fair share of drinks on the side. After all, it was Sunday funday. I’m interested in checking this place out again. Hopefully it’s sooner rather than later.

I don’t give 5 Stars often but this cozy, friendly tavern certainly deserves it. First time here, new to LA but this little place is defined by its employees! Within minutes the manager Jeffrey made us feel at home. His knowledge of beer and scotch was impressive. Not to mention his genuine hospitality. I’ve had some superficial encounters here in LA but this one was genuine East Coast hospitality . It continued with the engaging and talented bar back Hunter! What a gem. I hope the owners recognize how important each staff member is. This young man was pleasant and sharp! Thoroughly enjoyed his company and banter. It truly made my night! Then there was Turk… A subtle yet incredibly competent bartender. His mystique and demeanor were enjoyable. What a great crew here at Rocco’s. Not My home, NYC, but a great substitute!!! You won’t be disappointed

Came for drinks to watch the Dodgers/Pirates game, as it was the only place in The Valley actually showing the game. Only downside is that it was showing on the only TV that had poor color. Not sure what was wrong whether it was no green or no blue … Either way everything was red. This will be a light review as we only came for 1 drink, and broken a TV. Nice patio seems to be dog friendly. Every seat basically faces the bar, so I suppose it’s more of a bar. Garlic was flowing out of the kitchen, and it smelled awesome! Drink prices are fair, and there are different sized beers, which I really like. It definitely gives it more of a sports bar vibe. Cool place.

CAUTION: Happy Hour is not what it says on the site. Went here for lunch and HH drinks. There is nothing posted or written in the menu for what HH includes. My group ordered a round of beers after asking the waitress if HH was still 2 for 1. We were told«Yes it is, for everything but bottles of wine and champagne.» Time comes to order our second round of beers(that should be free if HH is 2 for 1). Finish beers and ask for check. The check did not have any mention of HH prices or discounted items. Mentioned to the waitress that we think they forgot to include HH. This is where this 2 star review begins. Waitress was very rude and acted as though we were idiots. I explained that we were confused about the HH and that we were told the beers were 2 for 1. Waitress then tries to explain that it IS2 for 1 and that the beers we were served were two beers in one mug. What? … She offers to get her manager and I accept. After speaking with the manager, more rude behavior, and no acknowledgement or understanding of our confusion. Manager continues on to say that there is nothing she will do. We had already ordered and drank the beers so she would not be taking them off the bill. TLDR; My group ordered our second round only because of our preconceived notion of HH being 2 for 1. This was not the case. Rude and disrespectful behavior towards us. Poor customer service from management.

This spot is a chill bar to go have some drinks relax and have a good time. This isn’t going to be your super loud sports bar that you’d wanna watch super bowl or a pay per view fight etc I wouldn’t recommend this for that kind of events. But if your looking to get some good drinks, and food this the spot. Their food is always good on point pizza is amazing, wings are good.

Second Friday in a row my fiancé, his friend and I have come here and we absolutely love it. My first experience was awesome I was a little hesitated when the friend had said its Italian and I was starving and amazingly their Italian food is so tasty! We ordered the wings, I got a salad and the artichoke. I was joking that that place should be called saucey because all their sauces are so amazing. They have a great 2 for 1 happy hour which gets you their in the first place but the food brings you back. Ok so today’s experience we went again and got sat by the same waitress and I was amazed she not only remembered us but remembered our drink orders! So likeable I believe her name was Megan I could totally be wrong… But young girl, curly hair, totally awesome. I ordered the pesto pasta and omg I almost died it was amazing, my mom makes great pesto and it’s hard to find a good one but they had it and my friend ordered a sandwich and it came with some creamy horseradish sauce and I couldn’t stop eating it. I liked how it seemed old school where they box your food for you the service we got was amazing. The parking isn’t too bad and the prices are totally fair, I highly recommend. And an extra shout out to our waitress! Sorry I couldn’t remember your name!

It’s a real cool place to hang out and watch sports. They have numerous TV’s inside and out. The service and food is excellent. If you are just looking for a cool place to have drinks with some great food. Then this is the place for you. The food here is great. One of the pizzas in town. I highly recommend the spinach salad for the salad lovers. For the meat lovers you must have the foccacia burger. I have been several times when I come to area or just to meet friends. This is really a true tavern in the heart of Studio City. The vibe is excellent with very friendly people. They have 2 drinks for the price of one for happy hour. The amount of liquor you get and food are very generous. The minute you get seated to you’re last bite you get outstanding service. Hands down of the coolest places in the valley. If you are a vegetarian you will love their menu. I have to say not being a vegetarian the BBQ portobello mushroom veggie burger was so good.

My experience here was just terrible. I’ve never been so frustrated from restaurant service in my life. EVERYTHING took forever. First of all, we waited 25 minutes to be served. After many attempts to get the attention of the waitress, I had to physically walk up to her and ask to be helped. After ordering our drinks they took thirty minutes to come. I kid you not. I had to physically walk up to our waitress and complain to her about how frustrated I am at their lack of service. After my second complaint our waitress became more attentive. But she should’ve been that way without me complaining. And of course we waited forever to get our bill. I once again has to physically her up hint our waitress down and hand her the bill before waiting another hour. I would never recommend this place to anyone. There a million great bars and restaurants across Ventura blvd. where you wait feel neglected.

I have only been here once, it was around 6 or so on a Saturday night, I came here for a friend’s birthday. We had a large party of 15+ and we had a great waitress who was very attentive and worked really well with our large party. The prices and the pours for the drinks were pretty decent. We also ended up getting food… FETTUCINIGARLICALFREDOSAUCE14.95 Fettucini tossed in our house made garlic cream sauce and served with imported parmsan and romano cheeses I really enjoyed this dish, very simple yet I could see if it was given a bit of chili flakes or something with a kick. Nice atmosphere overall, opened bar concept, good vibes.

Go here if you only want to watch sports and not hear what’s actually going on. You can listen to the bar music instead of hearing the calls on the game. What’s up with that? Especially during playoffs! Drinks are overpriced. Go there when it’s happy hour, for 2-for-1 drinks, that’s the only time ordering their cocktails makes sense(but even then). We got pizza extra thin, thinking it would be crispier(per waitress). That did not happen. Crust was thin and soggy. Ok location and found parking easily.

My buddy kept telling me that Rocco’s was where it was at. He talked about it so much that we finally met him and his wife there one night. I am a happy hour fan. That’s an understatement. I have almost become obsessive about only finding places with generous and lengthy deals. 3 – 5? Come on. Nobody can make those. Rocco’s goes 3 – 7. That’s fantastic. I’m pretty sure it’s the holy grail of happy hours. All drinks are 2 for 1. So, a normal pint of Sculpin IPA is now a giant 32 oz. mug of happiness. It breaks down to $ 3.50 a pint of delicious, hoppy beer. These mugs they bring out are both exciting and intimidating. It’s only after your 3rd do you remember it’s been a while since you’ve eaten, and it’s time to start to thinking about food. Food, unfortunately, is not part of the happy hour but who cares, the alcohol makes it worth it. We started with calamari fritti. It’s a fancy way to say fried calamari but it was better than most. At $ 12.95, I am assuming they caught it themselves. Corn flake crusted buffalo wings were also very tasty. But again at $ 12, I hope they raise and slaughter the chickens out back. Finally, the cheese pizza. Enough for 3 – 4 to share. If you’re a big eater, it’s good for 2. Very tasty and I would definitely order it again with no hesitation. It is again a little pricey at $ 20, but during happy hour, the beer evens the food prices out. Server was sweet and attentive. The bar/restaurant is one large room littered with TV’s. You’d have to try really hard not have a good time there while watching any game. Definitely a good time and an amazing happy hour.
