Subway

Store was clean and workers were patient with the 3 teenage boys I brought in for lunch. The food was all fresh and value of meals was on point since I was feeding 3 boys.

I walked in to this place singing and dancing.
I walked out yelling «thanks for being so pleasant».
You can guess from the star rating, that pleasant they were not!
Walked in to subway at 5.55pm and I’m the only one in there — my spidey sense should have gone off but I was too excited to get dinner soon. No greeting, no smiles, just a sour puss standing on the line, I try smiling and being friendly, but nurse ratchet is all business and I’m po-​d from the get-​go.
I am not, myself, a Subway aficionado, my husband goes to subway, he comes home, and food appears. This time it was my turn. I spy on the board the my sub is sub of the day and ask for a 6 inch sweet onion chicken Teriyaki.
She asks what bread and I blank, what bread do they got? «Eh the cheesy one» I reply, cause husband always gets the cheesy one.
Cheese and herb? She asks
Yes, do you have more than 1 cheese bread?
No. She replies.
Then I want that one
Then she brandishes a 12 inch. 12 inch you said? No, I said 6 inch (she turns to put it away and I quickly say «but keep the other half out, for my 2^nd sandwich»)
Audibly huffing, she slices the bread — huffing why? I’m not sure, it’s not like they were beating the door down at grumpy-​ass subway or anything.
She asks what I want in both sandwiches, asking stupid questions like did I want the chicken bacon ranch MELT, toasted. Well, yes, unless my temper is going to melt the cheese, I DO want it toasted. I get to the end before she does, I grab chips and a drink for my sub of the day.
«You want chips and a drink?» I’m asked
«Well, eh, it comes with my sub of the day» I reply
«I know» she answers
We exchange money and that’s it.
I felt like I was at a funeral, or in the headmasters office. She was just so curt, rude and bordering on snippy!
I got home with 2 very sad sandwiches, I’ve never had such empty sandwiches in all my subway days!
WTF? lady, you are in customer service, if you don’t like serving customers, then go find a different place to take your unhelpful, unfriendly, bordering on rude face and get the heck out of my local subway!
