I had a Bulgogi sandwich and it was way too salty and spicy! I think it’s the sauce that’s too salty. The meat is definitely different from the Bulgogi dish you order from a Korean restaurant. I would not recommend Bulgogi sandwich if you have high blood pressure.

These guys know how to make a good cup of joe! Got the hazelnut latte and my friend got a regular cappuccino. I guess they use illy brand coffee beans and the coffee are absolutely delicious, on par with Philz. The coffee cups come with a cute little lid plug not only prevent spillage but great for keeping the beverage warm and the dirt out. Even the cup sleeves are so pretty! Will be back soon!

Mission City Café sits in a commercial center off Lawrence Expressway, not far from Highway 101. There are several popular shops and restaurants in this area so parking is difficult at times. I frequently drop packages at the FedEx Office location a few doors down, but not during mealtime, however today I was in the right place at the right time so I gave Mission City Café a try for a late lunch. The Café has a fairly large menu of sandwiches. They also offer some Korean combo plates and wraps which look interesting. I tried the meatball sub. The sub was almost too big to finish in one sitting but I managed. The flavor was good, but I think I will try something different next time. Meatball subs are one of my safety orders, I get them when I don’t know what to trust or when I can’t commit any brainpower to thinking about what to order. I studied the menu a bit while I ate, lots of good stuff worth trying so I’ll come back. For hot sauce aficionados, they have a massive selection of bottles with a wide range of tastes to accompany your food. All of the known Tabasco variants were represented, along with Pickapepper and some brands I had never seen. Overall the place was pretty nice and I would have rated it three stars, but the girl making the food earned an extra star for her shop. I have been in a funk lately, I can’t shake it off, but something happened today, a pleasant disruption to the negative noise in my head. I couldn’t see her behind the partition, but I could hear her. She sounded so happy and content. For a few minutes the sound of her voice, not too loud, singing to the radio, sucked me in and I was okay. So an extra star for something special, I’ll call it ambiance. Thanks for that, it mattered today.

The«Bulgogi Pasta» dish here is easily one of my all-time favorite dishes of my lunch eating-career. Everything else I have ordered here has also left me very satisfied, plus very friendly faces behind the counter. PROTIP: Try the large peanut butter cup cookie right next to the register. Life changing.

One of my favorite places to get s quick bite for lunch on a work day. The parking lot gets pretty full so you might have to circle around a bit. The owners/people working there are super nice. They once had a special Korean soup item on the menu, which I asked about. And they just gave it to me for free to try out. The service is also pretty fast, even though the line could get long at peak hours. I usually get the bulgogi pasta, which I think is delicious. The sandwiches are also very tasty. I’ve tried all the Korean meats and they are all very good. Top the meal off with a deliciosmoothie and it’s time for an afternoon nap.

I will have to pay more visits to decide on a conclusive review, but my first experience was very good. I got the spicy pork noodles and was so intrigued by the flavors. I’ve never had anything like it. It didn’t look like a lot of food but there was so much! The blueberry banana bee pollen smoothie was very satisfying and not too sweet(thank you!)

Not your average sandwich spot. The ‘wraps’ and ‘sandwiches’ here are filled with awesome stir fry. They are practically your favorite Korean lunch dishes rolled into more convenient packaging. Be warned. Sandwiches here are very filling. Small establishment. No waiter service. Food is made when ordered so it could be slow at times.

This place is great for what it’s supposed to be: a cute little ma and pa family owned café. The food was great, the vibe was chill, and the owners were very nice. It seems the bad reviews here are all from people who expected this place to be anything but a café. But if you go in knowing what a café is supposed to be, you’ll like it here.

Delicious spicy pork and bulgogi dishes. Not traditional; had mushroom and brocoli. A little heavy for breakfast but I like lunch food in the mornings. Friendly service.

I had a chicken sandwich, on a Saturday with my boyfriend. We were in a hurry to go out the door, and there were two customers in front of us. Our two sandwiches took 15 mins. We were quite frustrated with the wait especially since we were tight on time making to an appointment. The sandwiches were not innovative and a bit expensive too. I usually do not prefer eating sandwiches, and this one didn’t change my mind either. My only good thought is that you can choose many different bread options. Overall, I’m surprised to read the other reviews for this place. The staff was an older couple who didn’t seem very high in energy.

Loved these sandwiches! Got a spicy pork and a bulgogi, both on Dutch crunch bread. They were really flavorful and delicious. Coffee was quite good as well.

Why are there such high reviews for this café? It’s nothing special: 2 – 3 stars max. Pro’s: * Family-run /Independent. I guess eating here helps support your local economy. * The blueberry smoothie was pretty good. Con’s: * Overpriced food. * Got a veggie sandwich. It was dry and boring. * A few tables with a lot of seats. If you’re going alone during the lunch hour, you might have to share a table. * Come during the lunch rush and you will be waiting for a while. But I guess that’s expected?

Ordered bibimbahp and bulgogi bowl here. This place is SOLID. The food is delicious, there is fast service, and the family that runs this business is very sweet. I’ve been going on and off for a few years now, but I finally got around to writing a review. If you’re in the area and want tasty food with fast service at a good price point, I highly recommend Mission City Café. I am a repeat customer.

One day, after pulling into the parking lot for St. Johns, I saw what looked like a 30-people-deep line out the door of the famous burger joint. While I normally don’t have a problem waiting in line for good food, I had to get back to work in a timely manner. In looking around, I saw the popular, and equally as good Tasty Pizza(I mean, who doesn’t love a good Indian pizza) or on the opposite corner, a small place called Mission City Café. I figured, what the hell, let’s try something new. As I walked in, I noticed the place had a multitude of delicious-looking sandwiches. As I was about .3 seconds from placing my order, I saw a sign that caught my eye with the words«bulgogi pasta.» Sign me up!!! I decided to order that instead and boy was I glad I did. As I mentioned, I got it to go, so I could get back to work. The pasta was wrapped in foil to keep it warm and placed in a small bio-degradable container(a la a food truck). While the container was small, the portion was not(after a different visit, I put the contents in a plate and it almost didn’t fit on the plate). As for the flavor, it was probably one of the better non-Italian pastas I’ve had. The bulgogi was delicious and had a tad bit of heat(you can tell them to make it spicier, if you so desire). If you’re thinking it probably doesn’t have a lot of meat, then you couldn’t be more wrong! Tons of scrumptious bulgogi. I wish I could tell you how their sandwiches are, but unfortunately, I’ve never ordered them(although, I will give them points for carry dutch crunch bread which I love with sandwiches). I have, however, ordered the spicy pork pasta which was equally as good, which unfortunately, creates a conundrum whenever I go there. I’ve also tried the bibimbap which was good, but I’ve had better and will probably stick with the pastas. The owners are extremely nice, friendly, and an absolute delight to talk to. The shop is quaint, but had a good amount of seating. I wish I could say more positive things about the parking, but I just can’t. Do yourself a favor and get there around 11:30am or sooner on weekdays. You can order thru the Unilocal app, but at the time of writing this review, the pastas aren’t on the options. Hopefully, that’ll change soon.

Great spot to come to during lunch– I love their turkey salami sandwich; very basic but with fresh and delicious tasting ingredients. Smoothies are delicious– the matcha green tea and the strawberry banana are my favorite! The owner is super sweet and will always remember his regular customers. Heads up! This place does get super busy during lunch time so plan accordingly. Parking can also be a pain all thanks to the 24 hour parking lot.

I go here usually every time I’m at a client in the area. Wanted something not too heavy for lunch one day with a friend, and re-discovered this place. I got the bibimbap, and my friend got I think a chicken pesto sandwich. I’ve gotten the chicken pesto sandwich before, and loved it. The bibimbap was really good as well, and I definitely didn’t feel guilty after finishing it! Had the perfect amount of meat, veggies, and rice. Flavor was good, but I think I may have waited a bit too long to eat it since it got a little cold, but nothing that turned me away from chowing down. The people here are super nice as well. Parking can be a pain, so just try to get there before 12. Overall, I definitely recommend this place if you’re in the area. Prices are borderline cheap for the food you get, and you definitely feel satisfied after. Happy eats!

I’m not a big café and sandwiches person, but the unassuming exterior of Mission City Café totally threw me for a surprise! In a good way… MC is operated by a Korean husband and wife team, and it’s a small spot with just enough tables and elbow space for you to feel on the verge of «personal space» discomfort. In addition to the close quarters, it’s a order and self-serve type of venue in this small spot. I met up with an old friend for a midday lunch and was pleasantly surprised by their quick and lightly-toasted sandwiches. I got the gourmet veggie with the swiss cheese on dutch crunch, and found that the dutch crunch(at the recommendation of many Unilocalers) was too hard to the taste even though the bread was a little warm. Maybe with another type of bread the crunch wouldn’t have scratched the roof of my mouth. Oh well. Other than that, there’s nothing pretty to look at here and I wouldn’t go out of my way to come back again. It was a midway point for our meetup, so I’m not ecstatic about coming to this area again. But if you’re ever around this location in that awkward point between Sunnyvale and Milpitas/San Jose, MC is a good place to get cheap sandwiches without any annoying servers all up in your face. They advertise«FREEWIFI» but the man/cashier told me to stay hush-hush and jotted down the password on a sheet of paper. I don’t get it. Is it free or is it not? That was weird.

Oh man, opens at 6AM to begin serving breakfast? PERFECT! I was looking at the breakfast sandwiches and bagels, but when the gentleman behind the counter points out that the bulgogi dishes and bibimbap were also ready to be served– it was only 7AM. I had the Spicy Pork fettuccine dish, they did not skimp out on the pork either! The pasta was served with the red spicy sauce the Korean spicy pork are usually served with. The vegetables were plenty but the dish all in all hit that Korean craving hotspot in the stomach. I’ve never had this for breakfast before. It was lovely! The spot is in a quite little business corner. It feels homey, and there’s this little wicker booth with pillows to make one feel comfy in. Restrooms had paintings all over the wall, but the storage in it made it kinda feel like I was in a hoarder’s restroom. Bottle tea and pasta total $ 10.38, for good pasta and spicy pork for breakfast.
