Looking for a Jazz night out? 2miles from Levi stadium, everyone welcome. 9pm till 2am, always worth the visit. I try to make it every time I come to Santa Clara for work, and bring coworkers, who talk about it often.

Went back, and the bar only got better. New sound system, awesome bands. They encourage musicians to come up and jam. Bring a guitar and amp. Great pricing on the drinks and food, come by and watch sports games, shoot some pool, and enjoy live music.

I love the music, the pool table, the patrons, the generous drinks, and above all, the bartenders. My new favorite after-hours spot. This is an especially great place to connect with the indie world.

This bar is fab. First time here and felt very comfortable. They have a pool table, dart board, pinball and sit down arcade game. Plenty to keep you occupied. Snack mixes on the tables, drinks priced right and live entertainment on Saturdays.

hmmmm… alot of low reviews because obviously people can’t handle a rocking badass place like this. Karaōke is badass, and they have some crazy rocking badass rock shows here. Hey they also have frappuchinos ha. Great pinball and pool tables. You can tell by the ambiance this place is rocking. The crowd is great too, great people I love this spot. This place is a lil hidden so definitely not much competition its a nice lil tucked away spot. This place rocks! I came here with a date. It took her a lil bit to see the coolness of this place but I was headbanging.

So, this used to be the place for jam sessions. There’s no doubt they have a lot of them. But if you actually expect to be able to play and be treated with respect and fairness, give this place a miss. The lady running the Jam sessions, Desiree, is really only interested in getting her friends on the stage. She studiously ignores the signup sheet and just calls up whoever she wants to. If you confront here about this, she will then absolutely refuse to call you up. As long as Desiree is running the jam session, you’re better off almost anyplace else.

If you need a quick drink in a dive bar, come on in here. I was here on a night when they had the house band playing($ 5 charge on those days). The drinks are cheap but the food options are severely limited. They have a decent sound setup. There are karaōke and live music night throughout the week, so you could find something that might catch your fancy.

Good live music with good strong drinks. We just stop by just by chance and stumbled upon this place. Its very divey and lively. The crowd was a bit mature but we didnt care we had fun. Different types of music each week so check out there calendar if you have a chance before going.

We went to see a friend’s band play there. The place wasn’t very busy for a Friday night — not even sure how they stay in business. All of us that went to see the band — and there were like 12 of us — paid the cover($ 7) and bought drinks. The band finally went on — late — and played their first song. After their first song the sound man gets on the mike and yells at them telling them to turn it down or they could get the hell out. He was so rude and completely obnoxious!!! Yes the band was loud and probably could have turned it down a bit, but isn’t it the sound man’s job to help the band out? He should have worked with them and helped them out but instead he humiliated them. The band packed up and left — good for them! And many of the paying customers the band brought left too. Maybe this club should realize that your sound man is kicking out paying customers. By the looks of the place it would seem you could use the help. Warning to all local bands — do not play there ever. There are much better places to play in the Bay Area.

This place is pretty divey and I’ve driven by it for years. Only now that Uncle Franks has set up shop here did I dare step in. Came by for lunch and had a very slow one at that. The female bartender has this crazy smokers voice and their non live music selection is interesting. Nine Inch Nails, the Cars, Dr Dre, Alice In Chains… pretty eclectic. Im not sure I’m intrigued enough to see a live show but if there were a good enough band I might think about going as something to do.

Supports live local bands, and that is the only good thing about this place. You have to pay a cover charge of 10 $, I mean, really. The drinks are a bit overpriced. I was not prepared to pay 5 $ for a beer from the tap from a place like this. Anyways, this place is small, not a lot of people, it is ok if you are interested in listening to rock music sitting very close to speakers.

No cover on Sunday for jam night; anyone can play. House band, Second Cousins, rocked the blues. Good house lighting, not great but acceptable. The service was good and the sound system was in tune with the venue… not too loud or quiet and never feed back. Pinball, pool and booths for your date. Two exits and a security guard. Tacky clutter and random décor. It is a dive bar so if you are not looking for tacky, perhaps head somewhere else, but don’t forget the charm that comes from a bar that keeps it real. Didn’t stink and Bathrooms were in order. I only rate Dive Bars as high as three. If it were a 5 star, it would not be a dive bar! I recommend this bar for anyone, but my recommendation comes from a single one hour visit. Enjoy!

SUPPORTLIVEMUSIC! You people in the south bay don’t even know what you have here. The Quarter Note is a unique place in that it’s a live music venue that supports local bands and has a full bar. It’s not a bar with a stage that happens to have live music. It is so hard to find places in SF that have live rock music from local bands. Most places have DJs nowadays. The ones that do have live music are usually big venues like the Fillmore(NOT local artists), and it seems that emo– hipster type primitive proto-punk dominates the local venues like Kimo’s or the Hemlock. The Quarter Note has band rehearsals on Mondays, so you can experience some live music for free. They also have a Sunday BBQ blues jam and a pro jam on Wednesdays. I think there’s also an open mic night… they basically have music going on seven days a week. If I lived closer, I’d be over there all the time. Support live music by local musicians!

A great local venue for bands, and a decent bar menu with reasonable drink prices. It’s located in a small strip mall, with tons of well-lit, safe parking. They have a real stage, theatrical lighting, and just the right size to really enjoy the bands. We need more places like this that support our local talent!

We went there because a close friend’s sister was playing in a band one night. Entrance fee goes to the band, so it’s fine. It’s a dive bar, but price of drinks are like of a restaurant. Service is poor and unfriendly. Beware of your change at the bar! My friend was short changed after paying for drinks with a $ 100 bill and the bartender thought he wouldn’t count his change. He did finally get his corrected change back but any semi-drunk customers would have been cheated of their money!

SO I totally wrote a review for this place but for some mysterious reason it vanished. Its OK. I will keep warning people about this place so as to ensure that I have done my Unilocaling duties. Arrived around 9ish and was surprised to see 3 people in the bar. I know it was early… but DAMN! Ordered 2 draft beers and was charged $ 10.00 Seriously… I don’t think they charge that much at the airport. So we pay the man and settle in for hopefully a fun night. Its a HUGE place. There is a stage and I am told they have live music. I have to say that after we finished our beer we left, for $ 10 we could get a 6 pk of some good beer or 12 pack of some crap beer… not worth the lack of people or excitement to pay those prices.

The hubster’s band, The Resurrection Men( ), played at The Quarter Note last night. The stage setup was awesome; it was raised, with plenty of room for the band to play and move around. There was tons of room for fans/patrons to sit and watch the show. The lighting was a little bit on the dark side, making it hard for me to take a video of the show. The sound could have been better if they had mic’ed the instruments in addition to the vocals. The booking agent, Angie, was great! She was friendly, provided free drinks to the band, constantly gave them water during the performance, and was just super excited the whole night. When this place is packed, it’s definitely rockin’. I would come back again for another show! Beware though, the place is a dive bar, so don’t go for the ambiance or service.

It’s been a long time since I’ve been here… but it’s definitely a legit dive bar. It’s a decent size bar, fun live bands and karaōke nights. Can’t beat that. And if you’re really feelin’ frisky the KitKat is just around the corner.
