I had seen a pic from a friend’s post and knew I wanted to try this place. I got the Saagar pizza and it was amazing!!! The mix of pineapple and jalapeño! Omg! So good. I can’t wait to try their other Indian pizzas.

We just swear by the Samosa pizza aka Singh is King. It’s difficult to imagine a samosa on a pizza but they have done full justice to this unique combination. Have been doing weekend takeouts recently but catered for a party for the first time thru Tasty subs. Everyone just loved samosa on a pizza(it’s actually samosa stuffing as pizza topping). We are also fans of Betaab and Pukar pizza but Singh is King is just true to its name! :) Highly recommend it if you are looking for desi pizza!

Great place for a quick lunch. Parking is a bit hard but you can always park across the street. They got sandwiches and pizzas which are generally good. I always get the butter chicken sandwich combo for about 10 $ or sometimes we order some pizzas. The indian pizzas are pretty good, though the dough is thick. There’s plenty of seats and great for a larger party.

More than what I expected. Service was good and they were very helpful with my catering. Colleagues really enjoyed the diversity of the pizza and the bold flavors. They asked to have it again so we will be back

Warning: This place has the Cilantro Cancer. That is to say, they put cilantro on everything as if it’s a fundamental ingredient rather than the condiment that it actually is. Would you put sardines on my food if I didn’t ask you to and without listing it in the toppings on the menu? How about finishing nails? Rock salt? Probably not. Then why would you automatically put something that tastes like dish soap on my food without telling me? Oh right, because this is California and cilantro is the state plant. When a restaurant puts cilantro in my food without informing me of it, it makes having a balanced opinion of the rest of the service difficult. That said, I like just about everything else about this place. Their staff is always friendly even when they’re very busy. Their pizzas and subs are delicious and always made with fresh quality ingredients.

All the details in the review is pertaining to pizza. I have never tasted anything else at tasty Subs. If ur looking for a desi tadka in US, this is THE place. Starting from the names to flavor, everything is so indian. Quite spicy and delicious range of pizza. Being a pizza lover, my personal favorite is 3idiots. Quite affordable and on top of that the deals of large pizza makes it irresistible. A must try joint if you are craving for a pizza but something different from regular stuff.

I’ve been wanting to try this place since I found out about it from my friend and finally had time to come here. Thank God I got here before the lunch crowd hit, otherwise there would be no parking. I got my order to go. The one thing I regret was not getting a bigger pizza(got the personal sized one). It would have been nice to have extra for later. What I ordered: 1) Personal Size Pizza(½ Hero and ½ Pukar with no red onions) 2) Butter Chicken Calzone with no onion or tomatoes 3) Saag Paneer Calzone I totally adored my Pizza(saved a slice of each for my roommate). The Butter Chicken Calzone was heavenly as well. Was to full to try the Saag Paneer, but will get to it later. I’ll definitely be coming back to try the other pizzas and the chicken wings. Thanks Inder for the savory treats. I appreciated it!

I have been here many times to make a justified review. Positives: 1. Menu: Most important types of Indian taste in pizzas are covered. Vegetarian menu is as good as non vegetarian options. They have listed the ingredients of each pizza in the menu, so you know exactly what you are ordering. The menu is painted on the wall next to the order counter so that you can discuss and choose pizzas while you are waiting in the line to order. 2. Taste(9⁄10): When eaten hot, almost all of their pizzas are amazing. 3. Ambience: Casual with TV screens. 4. Service: Awesome. Why? Once we ordered a half ‘dhoom’ and half ‘three idiots’ pizza. We picked it up and came home to find we have received so other pizza. We called them and informed of this issue. They requested we come back again and this time they will give us the correct pizza. We went back and they gave us 2 of the large pizzas that we had ordered as well asked us to keep the one we got by mistake. So we ended up getting 3 pizzas and on top of that, the person was very apologetic and gave us a refund of the money we had spent on the one pizza that we ordered. This incident showed is that this restaurant really cares for their customer satisfaction and owns up their mistakes and over compensates for it. Negatives: 1. Long waits to get tables on weekends(which is everywhere so not really a flaw of the restaurant. They have decent number of tables) 2. The beer /wine ordering section is different than the one where you order pizzas. There could have been reasons for it but we always found it a little inconvenient to go to another counter and give drinks order separately. Buts thats still ok. My fav pizza here: Dhoom and Three Idiots

Figuring out if this place is good? STOP, JUSTGOTHERENOW. A friend and I tried this place out for lunch and just from the reviews and recommendation from a friend we knew we had to go. The people behind the counter are really nice and helpful. We knew what we wanted but the people make sure your meal is worth it so based on their experience, listen to their recommendations. My friend and I ordered a large half Agneepath(mild) and 3 Idiots(SPICY) pizza. But both were so good that I began to sweat from one eye. Along with the pizza we got the Raaz(Indian garlic bread) and Tandoori Chicken. Both were great appetizers to the pizza. Overall normally I hate spicy food but I made an exception to this place and hopefully will get to try their other Indian pizzas as well as their Indian subs. STOPREADINGANDGO.

Think chicken butter masala on a pizza… won’t it be yum? Well, if you want to try Bold Indian flavours on a pizza and are bored with bland pizza hut and dominoes. this is the go-to place. Interesting Bollywood names for pizzas like Veer Zara pizza, 3 Idiots, Saagar and Sholay. Make it gabbar style for extra spicy. Personally I love the 3 idiots pizza– jalaepenos add a zing to the flavor. High spice level for the bravehearts only. Hero pizza is equally good, cheesy and less spicy. They offer half and half options. Another hidden gem is their Indian subs — Think yummy butter chicken inside a subway. Nach billo nach is nachos, cheese, chicken and jalapenos… burst of flavours. Potato wedges are crispy and awesome. Staff is courteous. Parking can be tricky during lunch hours. Has a sports bar look. Decent ambience. Must recommended.

Ohhh myyyyy Gaaaawd… hands down the best garlic chicken pizza I have ever had in my life! I went to a friend’s kid’s birthday party and they served their pizza there. I live in San Leandro and I literally get these pizza cravings for their garlic chicken pizza and drive all the way to Santa Clara just for that. I hope their pizza never changes! Love them!

Hm. Recently moved a few blocks from here so I’m about to take that Duke spot. You heard it here first. They have a wide selection of food types(Subs, Chicken, Wings, Pizza) Which in turn break down into a lot of sub categories of options to choose from. While they have the standard types of options for their subs, wings, and pizza, what is unique about Tasty’s is their Indian Influence on the food. In terms of Spicyness ranking(3 being the Spiciest) 1.Hero 2.Dhoom 3.3 Idiots I like spicy so having a pizza that fills that need is not only refreshing, but mouth watering.(like really you are going to need water) Out of the three, My favorite two pizzas would have to be: 1. Hero Pizza(Butter chicken pizza) Butter chicken sauce, mushrooms, red onions, bell pepper, tomatoes, chicken and mozzarella cheese. Topped with fresh cilantro. and the 2) Dhoom(Tandoori Pizza). Tandoori sauce, red onions, bell peppers, sweet corn, chicken and mozzarella cheese) also topped wth fresh cilantro. A great thing about Tasty’s is that will let you do half /half! so I feel like i get the best of two worlds every time. Personally I eat a doom first, and use the Hero as a cooling chaser slice haha. Hero is the less spicy of the two, but if you are a spice head and this doesn’t feel spicy enough, go ahead and just try his not so distant cousin«3 Idiots» Pros (+)They let you Split your pizza choices Half/Half (+)Price(Very Reasonable, a Large is currently $ 18!) (+)Bar & Tvs to watch games (+)Pinball machine (+)Reminds me of Shah’s in Davis (+)Tandoori Chicken wings are fun to eat Cons (-)If I am not careful I may eat the whole pizza. (-)Parking sometimes in the parking lot can be a pretty packed, it may be better to call in ahead and take it to go sometimes. Summary Favorite Pizza place at the moment, Half doom and half hero is the perfect combo, but if you want a real spicy adventure, get the 3 idiots!

I lag when it comes to writing reviews. Guess I should write a review for Tasty’s since I’ve been going here for 7+ years, plus I’m the Duke! My coworkers and I go here all the time for lunch. They have good sandwiches for cheap, and they have 5 big flatscreen tv’s all along the wall with sports on all day. My kind of place! 1. Selection Tasty’s has the standard selection of sandwiches: turkey, salami, ham, pastrami, chicken salad, egg salad, italian, french dip, etc… They don’t have super fancy sandwiches like at Ike’s, but I feel that the sandos at Tasty’s are more healthy because hey don’t have all the sauces that Ike’s drenches their sandwiches with. They also have unique Indian subs like the tandoori chicken sub or the butter chicken sub, and they have regular pizzas as well as Indian pizzas. I’ve only tried their pizzas once since I almost always order subs, but their pizzas are pretty good! The pizza always comes out piping hot out the oven, so be careful with that first bite! 2. Price Based on dollar value, not sure there is a better value around the South Bay for sandwiches. Sandwiches aren’t $ 12 like at Ike’s or $ 9-$ 10 like at California Sourdough or Sandwich Spot. Believe it or not, their regular size sandwiches used to be $ 4.99(now $ 5.99), but they are still bigger than Togo’s and the same size as CA Sourdough. Like all good sando shops they bake their bread fresh daily, light and crispy on the outside and warm and soft on the inside. Their sourdough is on par with CA Sourdough, which is impressive because CA Sourdough has the word sourdough in its name! Actually, all their bread is good… who would have thought wheat bread could taste so good?! Ingredients are always fresh and they are generous with all the toppings. Their salads are also a bargain for only $ 5.99 and are huge. Their pizzas are regular price however, around $ 22 for a large. I believe they make most of their money on pizzas because whenever I eat at Tasty’s I see more than half of the people there eating pizza. Another thing I like is that they are a member of Five Stars. I have gotten a lot of free sandwiches using Five Star points. For every 10 points you get a free sandwich or personal pizza. 10 points is easy, since I go so often that’s like a free sando or pizza every month! =) 3. Location Parking is a challenge here. It’s in the same parking lot as St. John’s, so if you have ever been to St. John’s then you know what I mean. PROTIP: If the parking lot is full, then I suggest parking across the street by Togo’s since it is close by. There is almost always parking available over there. I hope you give this place a try! Cheers!

Delicious 3 idiots pizza although I got half n half with the paneer option. The chicken side tasted a lot better with a spicy kick from jalapenos. Service pretty good and quick despite being packed to its capacity on a busy Friday afternoon. The chap at reception desk was very polite and honest when a girlfriend of mine commented, «your beer is kind of flat» and he agreed. I appreciate when owners accept what’s good and what’s not rather getting all defensive. Ambience– very sports bar kind of place and very masculine. Not many women in the room too which was a bit odd. Nothing fancy but perfect for a quick grub or pick up. Definitely ordering pizza again. Parking– the complex has a lot of parking but that got full very quickly during lunch time. Come here purely for food and not the stylish settings because it is pretty dark and worn out. I think they can definitely revamp the place and make it look trendy.

I ordered food a half hour before they closed, received confirmation from the restaurant via Eat24, my credit card was charged, and a message explaining that they were busy and it wouldn’t be delivered for 90 minutes. I called in after 90 minutes and Nick claimed they never received the order. Now I’m stuck in my hotel room with no vehicle or method of getting any dinner tonight because everywhere is closed and have to provide a written explanation to my company for the refunded. If they didn’t want to make the order before closing, they should have declined it.

Got a few sandwiches here, all good, no pizza though. I did get, a few times, a custom pepperoni pizza sub, not on the menu and had to ask for it special but it was delicious!
