Took off one star for tired décor and for less than stellar sourdough bread(OKAY, I have lived IN San Francisco — I’m a snob) but this is a place I’ll return to. This would be a great stop off the highway, but we live just a few miles away, so I can guarantee I will return. A little tricky getting into the parking, busy street, but once inside, it’s great. Soup was great, entrees looked smallish, but filled us right up. Deserts came to the table and were pretty irresistible. The one we had was excellent. Pesto sauce was great flavor, although it appeared a little dry. Red sauce was everything you’d want. Meatballs were nice and tender, not over cooked. Good flavors through the meal.

I’ve eaten here a dozen times over the years since it’s my(81 year old) mother’s favorite local restaurant. I’ve always been underwhelmed until last Saturday, when we came in for Mother’s Day dinner. It was excellent! Wonderful beef ravioli and spaghetti and meatballs. Even the garden salads were great. Nice surprise!

Here with my parents and grandma on the way to Ashland. We were pleasantly surprised to see the light atmosphere inside. Check it out!

This place was disappointing. I’ve lived here for about 10 years, and only been here once. With good reason. My husband and I went here a few years ago for a late dinner, and it was practically empty but took forever for our salads to arrive, as well as drinks and our entrée. I had the chicken alfredo, which tasted bland and frozen, and my husband had the ravioli, which was slightly more palatable, but still tasted

We went to Pedotti’s Restaurant in Sutherlin because it was close to the Best Western where we stayed. It was rated one of the best restaurants in the area. We ordered the combo appetizer plate. It was the best dish of the night. Fried mozzarella sticks, fried zucchini, fried calamari, sweet potato fries, and toasted ravioli. From there, the entrees went downhill. My husband ordered the gluten free vegetarian Penne Pasta. It was supposed to be a healthy dish. Unfortunately, it arrived swimming in a bowl of oil. He wasn’t able to finish the meal. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. It’s an Italian restaurant and can’t go wrong with such a basic dish. It was also very lacking. The sauce tasted like a canned tomato sauce with bland meatballs. Another of our party had the meat lasagna. She also commented about the canned tomato sauce taste. I didn’t feel well after the meal. Then to top it off, their credit card machine didn’t work. We had to pool our cash together. Lucky we had enough cash. If we are in the area again, I’d probably not stop by.

From the getgo I was unimpressed., the entire place had a disgusting odor. When we were seated, the waitress was already showing us we were not important, and when the food arrived it was less than expected. My wife and I both felt ill afterwards, and have vowed to cook our home made Itialian food for our friends who said this place was good, you know, teach them how it SHOULD taste.

My mother in law and I stopped for some lunch after being in town for a short bit. The restaurant was clean, the waitress very pleasant. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs and she ordered the chicken fettuccini Alfredo. Lunch was amazing. Only two small issues. They went skimpy on meatballs only giving me two. Second, since when is garlic bread simply bread with a side of garlic butter to spread yourself. Ever heard of roasted garlic bread? All in all I would go back.

As a local I’ve been here a few times, lately not by choice but by invitation. I keep hoping to get something that resembles homemade Italian food, it has yet to happen. Food looks and tastes as if a line cook prepared it not a chef. I guess this east coast Italian is expecting too much.

On the I5 headed to California and decided to stop for lunch, the food was amazing! Minestrone was excellent! Mushroom apps were delicious! And to top it off, the service was great and patio was relaxing. Definitely going to be stopping on next road trip!

The bread and soup they serve here is amazing! I was really disappointed when I got the calizone. But everything else I’ve eaten there is pretty good. The tour of Italy is a good solid choice when ordering.

I feel terrible having to give this restaurant 1 star. I don’t know how these other people are enjoying this place. There aren’t many restaurants in town and I decided to give it a try. Let me start by saying that I seriously doubt there is anything fresh that is served here. I think most people would be disgusted if they ever got the chance to look in the walk in. I ordered the Chicken Alfredo lasagna(16 $) and it was disgusting. I had ordered it to go or there is no way I would have paid for it.(I live 3 minutes away so no chance of it being too far or something like that.) The side salad and dressing was good. That doesn’t make up for the old disgusting lasagna though. The servers also had some kind of attitude. They were not friendly or inviting. I won’t come back to this establishment… even for a bottled beer.

The salmon with the mango sauce was fantastic. The rice that cam with it was moist and exploding with flavor. The spaghetti and meatballs my wife had was AMAZING too. Marcos the server was super friendly, very attentive… AMAZING dinner experience tonight!

I would have rated this at least 4 stars for a good italian sandwich but did not appreciate being charged $ 1.00 for an extra plate to share the sandwich. Probably won’t stop here on the way thru again. This was my third visit on the way between Oregon & Calif., the food was decent on the other 2 visits.

In town for a meeting. Arrived on a Thursday. A little suprised to see that we were the only ones there. Sutherlin didn’t seem to have a lot to choose from but this place come with rave reviews from our hotel front desk person. The wine was very good especially for a «house». Our waitress was very friendly and even gave me a heavy pour since it was the last of the bottle. No place near me would ever do that! I ordered the Fettachini Alfredo with shrimp. Tons of shrimp! More than I could finish and very large and fresh. The alfredo sauce, not so good. Bland and limited. Noodles were a bit overcooked too. My husband ordered a spicy penne pasta dish with shrimp. Again, a ton of shrimp but the sauce and amount of sauce, not so good. Salads were nothing to write home about and the garlic bread ok. All in all, not bad but not great.

Stopped here for dinner on my way to Seattle… Biggest mistake of the trip. It was absolutely disgusting. It must be the lack of real restaurants in this town that lead to the reviewers that praised it. It was god awful, greasy, everything tasted like it had been pre-frozen for months before it was served to me, and the wait staff was as bright as a bunch of meth addicts. I wrote this review while eating, and just to add to the torture we waited 20 mins after we were done eating for the check. I FINALY got up and paid at the counter and left one dollar tip. I have NEVER done that before. STAYAWAYFROMTHISPLACE.

In my previous review, I said we’d go back to Pedotti’s in a pinch if in the Roseburg area. A pinch situation it was to find ourselves in town on a Sunday night a week ago. We were traveling to a funeral with relatives who we had told about Pedotti’s previously. Then had been there and liked it and suggested we go there again on this evening. BOTTOMLINE: We’re glad we followed along because this time we could happily up our rating to four stars, putting Pedotti’s in the context of the Roseburg area. Based on this experience, we would happily go back again, regardless of «pinch». AMBIANCE: Once again, the place was sparking clean and welcoming. We were fortunate to get the last available booth at the window. The near full house of diners seemed to be mostly locals, and some of the large tables seated families of multi generations, from toddlers through seniors that seemed perhaps in their eighties. An all people are welcome here, unpretentious vibe we enjoy. SERVICE: Although the fiendly waitress, Cheryl, was slammed with a full house, including the tables outside, she did a very good job of keeping us posted on the status of our meals and delivering wine cold from the bar and food hot from the kitchen. Brava! She’s obviously had some experience at this. FOOD: Following our own good advice from the previous visit, we skipped the calzone. Between the four of us we had cheese manicotti,(very good even if made from pasta shells and not crepes and available as «light meal» options too for smaller appetites), penne with cheese sauce and Pedotti’s version of a Margherite pizza. This is not going to pass for NY pizza, which my Brooklyn born and raised Italian heritage hubby considers the best ever, but it was pretty darned good. As evidenced by the fact he took the couple of leftover pieces back to the hotel to heat up and eat for breakfast the next morning. The house salads arrived crispy cold again, but this time heavy on lovely fresh romaine and absent the too much iceberg element of our last visit.(Still, remember to ask them to leave off the canned olives.) And once again the meals were served with the warm, wonderful Lighthouse Bakery herb garlic bread.(Cheryl brought us a second basket without us even having to ask.) This time we even lingered for some spumoni ice cream for dessert… life is short… as scooped up by Cheryl herself and perfectly ice cold on arrival at the table. LIBATIONS: They still have the poor quality wine glasses on deck, but we’ve used worse. And with a good wine selection featuring local Umpqua /Rogue region vinters by the glass at very fair prices, we’ll release on the clunky stemware. VALUE: Dinner for four, with four glasses of wine and three desserts included, with leftovers to take home clocked in at $ 60 total, before tip. How can you beat it? In particular in this pressing econmic time. TIP: Check out the website…
