overpriced korean foodm but quality and taste was good! had budae jigae which is good but had a slight ramen soup taste to it and the kimchi dubu jigae? something like that and that was really good! We also had the rubs with the cheese that was really good! The service was great though, she helped us pick what was good in the menu and really helpful and fast!

We were excited to check this place out primarily due to the spicy ribs. We enjoy spicy foods, more than the average I’d say, and we have high tolerance for them, so sometimes it takes a bit more to satisfy us. We heard that the ribs here were really hot, and we were even warned by the waitress. Sadly, the ribs here were no match for us when we finally got around to trying them. Spicy ribs: Yes they might be spicy for the average person, but if you’re into really spicy things, this will be a disappointment to you. The taste was alright; similar to any bbq sauce you can find at the store. The cheese hardened quickly so it became difficult to eat with the ribs at one point. Bossam: Really pricey and small portion. Came out slightly warm so eating it was somewhat unpleasant. Mussels: Good Pineapple soju: Wasn’t cold and weak on the alcohol. Overall, I did like the atmosphere and the service. The waitress was friendly and accommodating. This place is a great place for drinking and eating snacks late at night with a group of friends when you run out of things to do, but I wouldn’t make the food here the main reason for coming.

WORSTPLACEEVER!!! Came here with my parents to try it out«Grand Opening“and it was by far the worse experience we have ever had in our dining out experience. We ordered the Kimchi and Korean Rib Stew $ 18.99. When we got our order all we saw was kimchi and short rib bone with no meat in the stew. When we called the waitress over she said the ribs were like that, no meat just bones. She even told us thats how they sell it at Assi. This isn’t our first time eating this dish, we’ve had it at numerous places before and it’s not like that. When she called the chef out, who is also the owner, the chef was already very defensive before we even had a chance to explain to her. She accused us of eating all the meat and leaving all the bones in the bowl. She also rudely took out our dish, and took the spoon and dug into our dish and mixed it around to find the meat she claimed she had in the bowl and angrily threw the spoon and bowl back on the table and said that we ate all the meat and left. The waitress saw everything that happened and said she would go back and talk to the owner to give us some discount but never came back. We waited for 15 minutes and rang the bell then other waitress came in and gave us our bill with no discount. We refused to pay the portion of the stew because we were accused of cheating and we no longer had appetite after she dug into our bowl. Another waiter/cashier came and said we had to pay full price. He even said he has to believe what the chef/owner said which meant he insisted that we ate all the meat and left the bone. As I stated earlier, we even wondering where were all the meat to begin with. All these time no one bother to apologize for our experience, but instead yelled at us that he couldn’t do anything and that he trusted the owner/chef. He said he will discuss with the owner. We waited 15 minutes later and the owner came out and yelled at us asked if we wanted to see the CCTV video how she cooked the food with two pieces of ribs. We said yes, of course nothing happened after 30 minutes waiting so we went to the cashier and told him we don’t have all day to wait for them and we wanted to know their decision. He insisted we have to pay full price. We were so frustrated after almost an hour with no resolution and didn’t have time to play game with them so we paid and left. I could not believe the owner/chef of this restaurant would fight with their customer over the food they served. I high DON’T recommend this place to anyone. Rude service, expensive food, and the owner thiought she’s right and the customers were wrong and lying. No one ever apologized for her actions of throwing and digging into our food and throwing the spoon on the table and yelling at us. This restaurant is not even worth one star on the rating.

I went to try Heungboo & Nolboo for the first time and was pleasantly surprised(this is an understatement) at their food and service. The food is as home-cooked as homecooking goes. You can tell that each dish, even down to the last banchan(korean side dish) had been prepared with the customers in mind. The service! man! cory is the manager and he knows how to treat his customers right. he will make sure that you go home feeling much better than before. my server, sara, was very friendly and a pleasant person to be served by. The dishes remind me of what my mother made for me growing up. Knowing she is 3,000 miles away in Korea, I feel less sad because i have heungboo & nolboo to make some bomb ass korean food when i need it most. now, while i go cry because i miss my mum, why don’t you go try this place out? God bless heungboo & nolboo.

Best Korean meal I have ever had. Tried to stop by for something new and they have a wide range of Traditional Korean dishes. A must try! And staff is super friendly and punctual when it comes to refilling side dishes and drinks. Overall an A+
