First, let me say that ‘hiding’ positive reviews of this company due to an algorithm really does not apply to funeral services the same way it might with a restaurant. Infrequent or first-​time users who want to share a positive experience during the time they’re dealing with the death of a loved one should be shown.(SEE ‘reviews not currently recommended’ BELOW) My experience with Neptune Society of Tacoma was professional and pleasant. John Z. took all the time I needed and answered all of my questions so I was confident that choosing this plan meant my children will not go through the expense and family conflict I went through when my father passed. All of my kids have the details of my plan and know that it’s simple transportation and cremation, nothing more and nothing more is needed for my wishes. The additional $ 400 or so for transportation anywhere in the world is an extra peace of mind well worth it as I intend to spend my last years travelling extensively. :D Thanks again, Neptune!

It is a shame that this company does not understand that the concept behind pre-​needs is that it keeps the grieving family from having to deal with the details of the remains after a death. The day after my Mother in laws passing they called demanding to speak with my husband. I asked what they wanted and they wanted to schedule a public viewing, this was NOT something she had wanted or arranged for and they had this information in their contract with her. They wanted to know why we had not provided an urn to send her ashes to us in, again in her contract with them she requested that her ashes be scattered at sea and lastly they wanted him to come down and identify the body! This last was an outrage as he signed the papers verifying her identity the funeral home Neptune Society contracted with when they came to take her away.
Our experience with this company was not a good one and we found them to be completely callous and uncaring and having NO idea about the concept of pre-​needs. I cannot recommend them.
