Hyde Park Tan Lounge

I’ve been spray tanning here for years. Their Versa Spa booth is far better than any Mystic booth that I’ve used. They run nice 2 for 1 specials that make pricing better. I’ve only ever bought tans and not a membership, as I don’t spray often enough. Its a clean place, they have a nice sink in the spray room to remove the barrier cream. I enjoy going there!

Hyde Park Tan Lounge is a joke. I went there to get a little tan for graduation. The lady talked me into doing a year tanning with monthly fees and told me I could freeze my account while I went on a cross country trip. I signed up, and froze my account a month later, thinking this wouldn’t be an issue, and to my surprise, one month later, I was getting charged again! When I called to see what was up, they told me I couldn’t freeze my account any longer and I couldn’t cancel it. When I told them I was across the country in Washington and if I couldn’t freeze the account I would need to cancel, the lady said-​and I quote– «well why did you sign up if you were going on vacation?» ugh! They refused to let me cancel, even for a fee, and refused to let me freeze the account. I would be pasty pale before EVER going here again!

Hi I’ve been going to tan lounge for over a year .
In February of this year I froze 3 accts my «family»
I spoke with staff and told them I would be out of state till summer and to freezemy accts till I returned. For the last 6 months I’ve been charged for atleast 1 of my accts. Called mgmt asked for them to fix the problem still no solution !!
Called a few days ago to cancel my memberships, was told I nedded 30 days notice they have around 700 $ from me with no one tanning, and I owe another month .
Careful when choosing them

Really suprised this place doesn’t have any other reviews. I wouldn’t tan anywhere else. State of the art tanning and spray tanning. Very nicely kept up, pretty funky, nice girls that work there, free beer and wine when you come in. All in all good stuff. Try it out.

I would not recommend this establishment to anyone. It is way over priced for the services received and the equipment is not operational all the time. I paid almost $ 300.00 for a scaled VIP package and that was with a military disount. Most of the employees are clueless when it comes to answering questions to new or first time patrons. So I decided to utilize the horizontal bed that has UVA/​UVB Rays and got burned because the associate did not bother to look in the data base to see if I had ever used the bed and that since it was my first time the timer should have been adjusted for a lesser amount of time.
The tanning areas are not cleaned or sanitized immediately after use by the previous patron. I made an appointment to go in and utilize the Hyro treatment and upon arrival found out that it was not even functional. No one even had the common courteous to call and let me know that it was not operating properly. Even when I make appointments I still sit and wait while others just walk in the door and go back into the various tanning areas.
The first time I went after my complimentary visit and used the spray tan booth I had blotches and large gobs of very dark dye all over me and so the attendant there at the time said she would reset the spray for me to go again.
When I left I looked like a freaky orange stripped Zebra.
I am not sure who the owner of the establishment is, but I am sure that Hershey are not aware of the daily operations and the way that certain patrons are being ignored and left to try and figure out how to use the equipment on their own.
Moreover, they do not even bother to provide you with any documentation regarding utilizing the various tanning beds when taking certain types of medication which can serious situations. There is no screening process whatsoever. I looked on the back of the interior doors in the tanning rooms and more than half of the medication that I take daily is on the warning list, like BLOOD PRESSURE Medication!
I do not recommend this establishment to anyone! Way over priced and the worse service I have ever experienced.
