X2 grinders, took over an hour, left waiting in the dining room. No WiFi, and two teeny LCD’s The grinders were fantastic.

I just got a steak grinder and it was delicious! I just got a half size and it was huge! Staff are friendly, and overall had a good experience. Not super busy so I didn’t have to wait a long time. I will come back again in the future

I’m really surprised this place only has 3.5 stars. It’s a Downriver staple and anyone I know that lives close by, loves this place. They now have a $ 5 medium one topping pizza, which is perfect if you have ridiculously picky kids. Garlic knots are the best thing about this place, if you ask the carb lover I am — always covered in butter and garlic, cooked perfectly through. Watch the box though if you’re taking them to go. Pizza has always been great and I love the antipasto salad here. We’ve never waited over estimated time for a carry out and the staff has always been at the counter, ready to go.

Generally I love this place! Except for today. Ordered a large pizza, received a medium sized pizza in a large box. Thanks for the rip off Mancinos!

I was disappointed today when I walked in to order a Grinder. The person behind the counter said it would take about 10 minutes. After 30 minutes, a man who worked there said this woman is starving. My grinder was sitting on the«warmer» for 15 minutes without anyone giving it to me. 2 mile drive home and it was cold. Guess that is why I’ve only been to this location twice in the past 4 years. Won’t be going back.

On an unassuming corner in the Nowhere of Taylor, sits one iteration of this brilliant grinder shop. Don’t call them subs, or hoagies, or heros. These are a totally different beast. Mancino’s is a franchise with over 80 locations in 7 states that serves grinders. It is clear that the franchise owners put a lot of care into their own locations, and it seems like the corporation gives a lot of freedom to owners to do unique things for their locations. I grew up near a Mancinos, where my mom would take me after school for a grinder when I was doing well. I remember the ever-present smell of toasted subs and meat, the clean but average dining rooms, and the open kitchen to see the workers toasting your grinders and subs, adding toppings, and baking up some goodness. A visit to most locations will provide this nostalgic experience for me, and this location is no different. The staff has always been friendly and willing to chat while you wait for your grinder, and also prompt when you place an order for pickup. A half grinder is generally about 6 dollars, and is more than enough for a meal. Generally, the italian grinder and the mancinos club are the way I go, because they provide a perfect balance of toasted bread, melted cheese, and warm quality meats with warm buttery mayo, shredded lettuce, tomatoes and other vegetables. Of course, you can’t go wrong if you steer towards the steak or chicken grinders either. I can’t speak for the pizza, as I’ve never gotten it, and I love Detroit style pizza. Based on the quality of their grinders, I would certainly not be against it.
