Worst buffet. Food tasted days old. The sushi was horrible; old and stale. Simply put, they put garbage out and hope costumers will not notice. Stay away. You can find better quality food at McDonald’s. I am usually not that harsh and generally give high marks, not this time. I only rated this at 1 because they didn’t the scale at 0.

One of my favorite Buffets in the area. Wide selection. Decent food. Good prices. Great discount coupons(by mail). Friendly waitstaff. Kept clean. The Grill is always fully stocked and open during lunch & dinner. What more do you want from a Buffet?

Teppanyaki cooking is a style of cooking serving food from a hot grill. From Wikipedia: Teppanyaki(鉄板焼き teppan-yaki?) is a style of Japanese cuisine that uses an iron griddle to cook food. The word teppanyaki is derived from teppan(鉄板), which means iron plate, and yaki(焼き), which means grilled, broiled, or pan-fried. In Japan, teppanyaki refers to dishes cooked using an iron plate, including steak, shrimp, okonomiyaki, yakisoba, and monjayaki. I have had teppanyaki in Beijing and it was nothing like I see represented in the online pictures from this establishment. I love genuine teppanyaki but will not patronize this buffet restaurant.

I’ve been a resident of Taylor for almost 8 years and this place was originally the Old Country Buffet. When they first opened up in 2011or maybe it was 2012, the food was amazing. Since then, the food has gone down dramatically and the majority of the staff don’t understand a word of English! Good start but they’re declining fast but I will say that the environment is kept clean and the prices are reasonable. The food quality in my opinion is just Ok.

I’m so disgusted I literally got sick. Just to make a long story short cockroaches up on the right hand side at the sushi bar by the plastic sauce cups. Pulled out the box because I saw him run across the counter and there was about 15 of them. The waitress just blew it off! Unreal. I got an immediate refund and they acted like it was no big deal! Needless to say yes I did call the health department! Disgusting!!!

One of my favorites to go to. Big variety to choose from. Can’t go wrong. Better than Super China Buffet

Horrible, couldn’t eat one thing on the buffet without wanting to gag. Crab rangoons were the only thing edible. Everything soaked in oil and the ice cream bar had multiple spoons laying in the bottom of each flavor. $ 30 wasted. One star is being too gracious

The food here is good and the sushi is awesome. The staff aren’t very friendly but they are quick to replace drinks and bring your check. This last time we visited it looked very run down. All the booths were sliced up and lots of food on the floor. It’s always busy though and easy to walk in and get seated quickly.

I have to say this place was good for the price. Two of us paid $ 14 and it was well worth it. They have a really good salad/fruit bar, several stations, hibachi grill, deserts etc. I enjoyed the shrimp stir fry and oysters. I would recommend checking it out. Keep in mind, it’s not a fancy place but worth the $. Dinner includes seafood dishes so I would recommend coming after 4pm.

I don’t get why there is so many negative reviews about this place! The place is very clean even with the lunch rush they had recently when i was dining in. They have many varieties with many combinations of sushi near the hibachi grill, which was outstanding. Prices are very resonable especially having sushi bar, hibachi girll and the buffet it’s self. It’s 6.99 for lunch and 9.99 for dinner *per adult. Waitresses tend to stop by your table every minute to check on dirty plates from your table. Which was very nice of them. Only thing i don’t recommend eating from here is the chocolate cake, it barely had any flavor to if. Overall delicious buffet.

Was here on a Sunday night w my girlfriend and some of her co workers. I mean, it’s a Buffett, what do you really expect. I will say that it was really messy and dirty, fries all over the place in the floor, like a fry-nado went through there. Which is stupid since it’s an Asian Buffett but whatever. The sushi bar. I had zero complaints and I’m normally VERYPICKY about sushi. I believe because it was the Sunday dinner rush they were keeping it fresh because every time I went up I saw that everything was replaced. What I didn’t like however was that all the tongs just sit there cross contaminating from dish to dish. I’m no professional but I’m pretty sure that’s a no no. I didn’t try stir fry station. I felt if I wanted that I could go to Mongolian bbq instead. Other then that, the food wasn’t that bad but, I was still left desiring more I didn’t get in in the dessert station because the idea of 10000 other people having their Nasty hands in the ice cream(scoop not soft serve) is more of a turn off then a hot girl with a cold sore the size of a quarter on her lip. I rated 3 but I’m calling that generous, I’d say 2.5÷5 at the best. Probably will return.

I like to think of myself as a sushi conoseuer and they have a good selection, I dont like buffets at all, when the word buffet comes to mind I think of big sweaty hairy pe opp please reaching into a tin of something sloshy and their remnants dropping in, but this place actually looks appetizing, when people are leaving reviews saying«the food was cold and it was a terrible experience» in all rights, a restaurant experience should never be a bad one, but the fact of the matter is that you should never go to a buffet if they are not busy, you must go during lunchtime or dinner time, and especially the weekend because this is when all food will be fresh, if you cant agree with those terms dont go to a buffet and be mad because they didn’t change the whole tray or put out fresh sashimi which has raw fish when you’re the only one there, girl bye, you should’ve went to a sushi bar.

Food is on the bland side as far as the buffet goes, but they have quite the selection. The grill is awesome. Not alot of variety of flavored sauce for the grill but its hot and prompt. The sushi bar is pretty good when its fresh. Just dont come too late at night or else you are in for some old food. Crab rangoon is delish.

For the price you really can’t beat this place. Been here many times when I am in the neighborhood with friends. Although mainly Chinese buffet, there is something here for everyone including chicken nuggets for the kids. They have an active sushi chef as well as a Mongolian BBQ option for no extra charge. The food is always fresh and although they are always busy I have never went up for more and they were out of anything.

Holy Schitzophrenia. I feel like I have been bait and switched. My second visit to this restaurant was a night and day type experience, and not at all what I had come to expect. We visited again with my parents(of course, any buffet visit is with the parents). It was a holiday weekend. The restaurant was steady minor action as far as clientele but not super busy or anything. I can’t figure out how they managed to deliver such a poor experience. Everything when we arrived was cold and old. No bananas in the red sauce. Hard dumplings. No wantons in the soup, Numerous items were stone cold(hello chicken wings) and the bare minimum sushi that was out had the hard rice. No worries it was gone before you could blink at any rate. Want more? Hmmmmm encounter the silent version of Soup Nazi. Wha? You may be asking. I will explain. We asked the sushi man directly if he would be making more. He was not forthcoming. Waited five– ten minutes, still no new sushi. Asked waiter, no new sushi. Asked manager, new sushi starts being made but ummm not put out, it is kept behind the counter on long white plates. Silent message? «No sushi for you!». Yeah, not amused. By the time new sushi came out we had eaten. We were done. My mom who had none by this point did take four pieces but it was even kinda too little too late for her too. I will say fresh of course, it was reported as very good buffet product version as opposed to the stuff I managed to scrounge at the beginning. It leaves a sour taste in one’s mouth when you have to ask for what should be available though. We felt completely ripped off. The only three things I ate there on this occasion that I liked was some coconut sauced shrimp(one of the few items replaced fresh during our time here), the seafood stuffed shells(clearly put out fresh right before our arrival) and the fruit. The rest had temps that had me concerned not only about their age but also their safety, illness wise. We are going to try down the road. The Super China Buffet has been changed into a new location of Hibachi Grill. It can’t be any worse.

I was there when the buffet first opened. I didn’t care for it at all. The food was either bland or way too salty. It’s not very often when booiled shrimp is even bad — it was boiled way too long. The crab legs were very small, very overcooked. When I didn’t care for anything on my first plate of food, I passed that off and tried a completely different plate of food. Same thing — over done, not flavorful. I even tried the stir fry station — even with the spices I request — just below average food. I will not return.

Jacob and I couldn’t decide what we wanted for dinner and were burnt out on our local favorites. He suggested this buffet after reading a few reviews. This place is busy as hell! I usually favor a nice, quiet dining experience. Here, you’re shuffled to the register amongst a dozen questionable other soon-to-be diners and you pay for your food and drinks(and leave your tip if you’re paying with a card… weird) then wait around for a table to open up. You’re then rushed to said table with no further instruction. We sat around for about 5 minutes without anyone coming to our table, so we decided to just get up and hope a server would see our drink ticket. The selection of food was pretty overwhelming. Besides the typical Chinese buffet staples, this buffet also had a flat-top grill where you can watch a chef cook your dish. Pretty cool. In addition, they had quite a few American items(ribs, mac n cheese, etc). There was tons of seafood, if you like dinner from under da sea. Luckily our server brought our drinks by the time we got back from our first visit to the buffet. The food was hot and fresh, surprisingly! I liked almost everything I tried. I was kinda bummed they didn’t have the OCB staple – fried chicken! My heart thanks me. The place was clean, but the buffet area was dangerously slippery, and I was in standard running shoes. I almost slipped about three times in my two trips. Not cool. For the price, freshness and variety, Teppanyaki is a good choice. The only things I didn’t enjoy was how crowded it was, the trashy clientele and the lackluster service.
