We stayed at Dancing Deer Farms Hacienda from Thursday evening to Sunday. It had plenty of room for our huge group of about 30 cousins attending a wedding in Paso Robles. The beds were comfy and there was plenty of bathrooms. There are only a few downsides to staying here: –the walls are thin and everything tends to echo because of the hardwood floors; so don’t forget to bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper –the coffee machine was broken :( –it gets super hot during the day during summer and there’s only AC in the main living room and kitchen. The bedrooms on the top floor were hot and stuffy at night. Unfortunately for us, the ceiling fan in the Woodpecker room did not work either. –WiFi was pretty much nonexistent unless you are up at 3am, stand near a certain bedroom and connect when everyone else is still asleep. They had a booster located near the stairs leading to the bottom level, but it wasn’t connected properly. It was completely useless.

My family has come here for a reunion 3 years in a row. I have to say that each time it has been one of the most peaceful and nurturing vacations I’ve had, surrounded by the beauty of the land and the love of my family. One of our favorite things to do together is to walk down the tree lined country road behind the property to the several fabulous wineries close by. I give this place 5 stars because to be honest, the first year the water was pretty strong smelling. Great for soaking in the tub but not for showering. This year, though, they had just put in a new well and some kind of ozone treatment system and the water was great! So, 5 stars, One more thing, Karen, who I think is the manager, was so helpful and I really got the feeling she wanted everything to be perfect for us. We’ll be back next year,

Great place to stay, however all the water in the house smells like sulfur and they need to put in water treatment system. We had to brush our teeth with bottled water. Place is a beautiful, huge compound with more than enough room for whatever event or retreat you have planned. But when you turn on the water… Watch out. Vicks vapo rub under your nose before you shower is what we had to do.

Dancing Deer Farm also known as The Center For Reuniting Families is nestled in one of the most beautiful parts of the central coast hills. It’s secluded enough, where you feel as if you are far far away from any hustle and bustle, but close enough to get into town for supplies. The property is absolutely gorgeous and meticulously maintained. There is a small group of people there that tend to the property with a lot of care. My(now) Husband, then Fiancé and I drove out to the Dancing Deer Farm after talking to a very kind and helpful woman Karen about possibly celebrating our wedding ceremonies there, with a very positive feeling right off the bat. We absolutely fell in love with the whole setting and it was literally as smooth as butter working with the dancing deer team. They aided in more ways than we’d imagined to make our special day work and the dancing deer farms will forever be held in high regards in our minds. People have said, our wedding was definitely one of the best weddings they’ve been to. Comfortable, relaxing and fun environment. Thank you Dancing Deer for making everything you did for us possible! I would hold another event in a heartbeat!

To be fair I must say my father and I were guests here for 3 days last week and we did not experience any of the programs they offer. Dancing Deer Farm is a very beautiful, tranquil, quite and relaxing place just 3 miles off the 101 highway that is perfect for what they do here. They have facilities for small groups or large, extended families and have many options to choose from. It was pretty awesome to wake up in the morning, look out the window and see a few deer or some peacocks wondering on the rolling hills and around the trees. As for the surrounding areas, they are 30 minutes for less from San Luis Obisbo, Pismo Beach, Paso Robles, Hearst Castle, Cambria, Morro Bay, etc.
