If you’re a fan of krispy kreme donuts then shipleys may not be for you. I liked the fact that they had kolaches. The jalapeño sausage cheese ones were great. Over all though, not the style of donuts I care for as I’m used to krispy kreme. Donuts seemed chewy and heavy. Frosting wasn’t overly sweet. Parking sucks horribly. It is also one of the only donut places in the kaufman/Terrell area only a convenient 12 miles away. Prices were cheap though. Wasn’t bad. If I ever have a need for donuts I’d prolly go back.

Parking sucks! Wait is forever, but donuts are AMAZING! Don’t get there too early because they’ll have a limited selection, and the same goes for getting there too late… limited selection.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE me some Shipley Donuts!!! Terrell’s location has been here for years! I can remember stopping here as a kid when we were going down to Mineola Texas for the weekend. Not a SINGLE thing has changed about this location since those many years ago. Parking is VERY limited and it can be a little hectic trying to park, especially on the weekends. Thankfully, this location has a drive-thru so you can either wait for a parking spot, or you can sit in line via the drive-thru. Either way, it’s WELL worth your wait.

I like this location OK, as they have donuts, kolaches and coffee. I didn’t say they had good coffee, but they do have coffee. :-P They also have milk(regular and chocolate) and some other drinks for the kiddos. There are groups of locals in this town of 15,000 who gather here every morning for coffee — if you are interested in the latest gossip or if you want to learn more about the weather, or how the Gov’t has gone wrong in Austin this week. Stick with the donuts and kolaches at Shipley’s and YOU can’t go wrong.
