We went to this bar and grill because it was right off the lake but unfortunately had to leave 15 minutes later. First, we sat at the bar tables and had no server come to our table the 15 minutes we were there. Secondly, it looked like that had over 7 beers on tap that they were out of. One of those beers is the most popular… Coors light. We ended up just leaving and going right next door to the Mexican restaurant, Don Francisco and there service was an A+.

Loved the atmosphere of this place, I came with a large party and they were able to accommodate us nicely with a lake view… the food was typical bar food but very tasty they have tons of options and are kid friendly… I had a blast with my family

Sorry. The back patio has so much promise but the food gets a 1. I understand they are short staffed, but when I want a burger, I don’t want a thin frozen patty. I want a burger I can order med rare and its not well done. They have a good selection of beer, but that doesn’t make up for the food. It was, however, a great place to watch the sunset over the lake, but make sure you don’t have expectations for dinner.

We used to go frequently before this changed management. 2 out of the 3 times since it changed management there has been a very long wait for the food, then some or all of it comes out cold. This past time all was cold, indicating food was ready but no one brought it out. Service staff seems inexperienced and you have some people standing around while others are working hard(no one, however, working very quickly). We like some of the menu items which have been popular for some time(fish tacos, queso catfish, chicken fried steak), but will not go there again. Note food is also inconsistent now — nachos are a tasteless pile of chips with unseasoned refried beans and bland jack/queso cheese randomly dumped on top. So a few good entrees but beware of anything you are not familiar with. If you enjoy wine, please be aware pretty much all they have is Vendange and similar($ 3 per bottle at WalMart); one brand per type. So go elsewhere for wine

Omg! So glad I came across this place on Unilocal! The patio has the most amazing view at sunset! My boyfriend and I went on a Friday evening, it was not crowded at all. A lot of it being because I think this place is new? They had live music outside. I think DJ was after but we didn’t stay late enough to find out. The owner/manager, I believe his name was Brandon, walked around tables making sure everyone was okay and he even told us all these amazing renovations they’re going to be having for the summer! Sand volleyball being one, which is super exciting! This might be mine and my boyfriends summer spot, I loved it! I can’t say much for the food since we just went to check out the place. We just had a couple of beers and chips and queso definitely worth stopping by!

Service was just okay. Burgers were good. The bar smelled dirty and old like you would expect from a typical dive. We sat on the patio and the view is decent, but not great. Beer selection is decent and features a lot of local beers. I would probably go back, but only if someone else suggested it.

Beautiful, large patio. Got to watch the sunset off the lake. We brought out son. They have games for kids by the billiards, so that was great. My husband got the catfish, I got a bacon cheeseburger. Both delicious. The owner dropped by to see how everything was. very nice guy. We’ll be coming back, for sure.

Called this place ahead of time to reserve a spot on the patio with a tv so we could watch the mavs game. The hostess informed us that they were holding an event but that it wouldn’t be disturbing nor an issue. Arrived to a very neat location next to the lake lewisville, big patio, and a large tv. After sitting we immediately asked the waiter to turn on the tv. No go. Our guests arrived and asked another server to turn on the tv. Nada. We asked the served after returning with our drinks if he could please turn on the tv. His response was«Oh, she’s going to do it». Completely ignoring our request and delegating the task before our very eyes. After missing the first ¾ of the first quarter I got up, went inside and asked the bartender if she could please find someone to turn on the tv. We had already missed the first quarter by then. She herself walked to the patio and turned on the tv. I thanked her numerous times. Then the music started, we knew there would be an event but it literally took up the entire bar. We got up and went inside and the hostess accommodated us with a table immediately with a tv. I ordered a bacon bleu burger with fries. Fries were fine, burger was quite good but not fantastic. Don’t get the cheese, it taste cheap and saw dusty. Friend of mine ordered Fried pickles which on the menu described as spears. He gave my friend a jar of hamburger pickles that had been fried and dumped onto the basket. My friend asked for spears and he was informed that the menu indeed says«spears» but that’s all they had and they were changing the menu. Waiter fail Strike 2. We gave him back the pickles and he very apologetically said he would have them«comped». Then very loudly rolled his eyes. Strike 3. I was impresed with the location and the amount of people that came to the bar. Food was good and they have a great menu/menu prices. Hoping this was just an awkward visit and just an awful waiter. More than likely I won’t return.

Pretty fun neighborhood bar, even if it’s now even my neighborhood. They have a big biker patron and their neighborhood patrons. I came here when the sun was already down so I didn’t get a chance to check out the view out back their patio. Service is great, and they even remember us when we came back the second time around. Great selections of draft and bottles. However, the mushrooms I’ve ordered was Meg. It was good in flavorful but it’s very small. I felt like I’m eating Cheerios morsels :-/I will definitely comeback for more drinks and atmosphere but maybe not for the food.

Fun place to go for a patio beer and burger. My wife likes the burgers more than I do, but they are good. Just not great. They need to offer a bigger patty option(½-lb) and not overcook them. My favorite waitress yet is Melissa — hope she sticks around. Beer selection could use a little expansion, too, but it’s pretty good. The thing that makes this place is the awesome patio and good(not great) food. Very fun crowd and atmosphere. It’s hard to be in a bummer mood when everyone on the patio is having a great time. Fun place, fun patio, pretty good service. Just need to brush up on the burgers a little, because this is a clearly a burger joint(or should be, given its atmosphere). We have not been while a DJ or live band was there yet. Oh, and kind of a biker bar, too. My favorite scene out front was a trio of bikes that parked next to our car — a Harley, a crotch-rocket, and a moped. No others around — just those three parked in a row. Love it. Something for everyone! We don’t discriminate! Ha!

I wish I could give this establishment –37 stars. Worst tres leches experience of my life. The texture, consistency and taste was reminiscent of cat litter. This terrible experience was exacerbated by the sounds of dj Danny Allen. My friend had to send his entire entrée back because 47% of it was grease. I’m not sure if this place is cursed but I DO hope thAt it falls into the lake, gets swallowed up by a sink hole and becomes lost in space and time forever. The one redeeming factor was the ski-ball however the machine ate my quarters and when I notified the barkeep with the tramp stamp she laughed then told me «tough shit» and added«gotta know when to fold them and gotta know when to hold them» Needless to say I will not be returning to this establishment and for those of you who do May God have mercy on your souls.

This was our 1st time at Stan’s Lakeview Taphouse and Grill. This place lives up to its name. Big outdoor patio looking out over lake Lewisville. Good selection of Beer on tap. Local and imports, as well as established big breweries beers. Our waitress was new, and I noticed the Manager was always just a few steps behind her when she was taking orders at the tables. He obviously was training her on the job, good to see they don’t just toss a new server out there and wish them well. Our food was out fast. Just what we ordered, and tasted great. Stan’s will be on our go to list here on out.

OMG, first I want to say our waitress was great. BUT, she brings 4 of our 5 meals out and tells the other in our party they were out of his dish. WHAT, you wait until you bring 3 meals to tell is you can’t cook the 4th. The steak is cooked wrong, and the veggies are assumed. The Sunday manager thinks that 3 of us should have eaten while the 4th watched and then the 3 of us should have watched the 4th eat … he said people do that. not polite people. You have got to be kidding me! Even if he hadn’t told me to never come back when we tried to pay for our appetizers and drinks, leaving the 3 meals, I’ll never go back . The 1 star is only for the waitress..

I couldn’t stand it any longer, so we drove the long distance out to Stan’s Taphouse and Grill in the Colony for a Flame-grilled Cheeseburger. They have the best Char-grilled burgers I have had since my youth. Reminds me of the hamburgers we used to get at the Golf Shack’s of some of the air force bases we were stationed at when I was a kid. Shipley’s Donuts used to make them too. I’ll have to check on that, since it has been 20+ years since I stepped into a Shipley’s. Stan’s is the standard for what I like as a Great burger so far in the N. Dallas area. And no! As good as a lot of the griddle places are, they don’t have that smokiness that you get from Char-grilling, or Flame Broiling.

Stan’s as I’ve said before is a diamond in the rough… Just needs to be polished up. Real estate is all about location, location, location and Stan’s has a jewel of site. Right in the cove of lake Lewisville. Reminiscent of an original Oasis before the fire in Austin. Gorgeous lake view. Faces the west and you can see a beautiful sunset right from the back deck. Nice long bar and updated TVs are perfect for having a group to watch the game. You can also play some tunes from the jukebox. Solid burger and chicken fried steak. Wings and the queso are great appetizers too. They have remodeled the bar and upgraded all the televisions. Restrooms too. If you haven’t been or it’s been awhile worth checking out again!
