Best tacos I’ve had in a long while. The green sauce was superb. $ 1 tacos on Tuesday can NOT be beat. Go here. On a date. By yourself. With the family. Such kind people and the best service.

Omg we were hungry on our way back to Portland and found this restaurant on Unilocal!1 dollar tacos !!! Super bomb I highly recommend this place for your next food coma! Steak tacos green sauce carona nuff said

Amazing!!! Tuesday happened to be $ 1 tacos… one word, «WOW».

Good food, great people. Very hospitable. I enjoyed a chicken burrito on $ 5 burrito wensdays. Ordered to go, while I was waiting they brought me chips, salsa and water. What a happy surprise. Salsa is mild and tasty.

Good solid choice for Mexican.
Had the chile relleno plate and BF had the burrito. Both were quite good, exactly as expected in a competent restaurant. Chips and salsa were good too.
Service was friendly. Menu had a good number of choices. Parking was easy.

$ 5 burrito Wednesdays… Subway can’t even compete with that!

All filler no thriller.
I came this evening with a party of 5 to grab a bite to eat before my friends made their trek to Southern California. I read the reviews a few days beforehand and thought this would be worth a try so I got my friends to meet here. We made our order and all decided to go with el pastor burritos. The food did not take long at all. Once we recieived our food I noticed all 3 of my Mexican friends thought it was unusual to have the burritos served with olives garnished over the burritos. Me being Chinese I didn’t think much of it and digged in. My first few initial bites consisted a lot of rice and beans after a few bites in I finally get to some of the meat and didn’t stand out for me. Not sure whether it was a lack of marinade or just not enough seasoning but it was fairly bland. After eating the burrito which consisted of mostly all rice and beans I was left disappointed by the quality of the food. Friends and I all agreed it was a lot filler and little to no meat at all. Overall service was pretty casual and the employees were fairly on point and followed up regularly. Ask me if I’d come again? Probably not at this point. Not because of the service, cause it was good. Not because of the price, cause it was fair for what they were serving. In the end it came down to the quality and portioning of the food overall. It’s a pretty big let down when you receive a rice and bean burrito and a few pieces of meat that lacked flavor. I hope in the future you guys can resolve this issue.

Awesome food!!! We’ve had tacos here on Taco Tuesdays, enchiladas another time and taco salad once for lunch. (My favorite place for taco salad in The Dalles) The food has been fresh, hot and flavorful each time. The chips and salsa are delicious and fresh every time. The dining room is not as nice as some restaurants but there are tables and booths and very genuinely friendly service, family run. Whether ordering in or to go service has always been fast. Beware the crowds on Tuesdays, the secret’s out!

The restaurant is nothing fancy but the food was fresh, delicious, and quick, and the service was friendly and great. We stopped for lunch on a whim and I would definitely come back.

I love Taco Del Rio! They have great authentic Mexican food. They have great specials on certain days of the week as well, Taco Tuesday is the best!

Actually very good! It’s a small place, not fancy, but it has excellent «classic» Mexican cuisine big plates full if rice and beans to accompany the main dish. Looking for a place to pull in and get some good food for your road trip? Here it is. Service friendly, fast. Very impressed…

Great Service and good food. Someone who complains about the food is NOT getting it right. It’s fresh and tastes great. Price is extremely reasonable. Staff is AWESOME. It’s good down-​to-​earth Mexican created by Mexicans. Perfect!

This family run restaurant is a gem! Delicious Chile Rellenos — attentive service, generous portions. Home made green sauce and hot sauce, endless chips and salsa. Don’t miss it if you are passing through The Dalles for lunch or dinner. One dollar tacos on Tuesdays!

Their prices are more than reasonable and their homemade salsa is delicious. Both my husband and I are in love with their chicken burritos and they’re always really flexible about substitutions.

Seems a few people like this place. I took their word for it and went in for a take out burrito. The people were nice or this would be one star review. Pretty tough to screw up a burrito. I asked what was inside the burrito and they ran down the regular and said it is also topped with sour cream and olives. I asked them to throw everything inside the burrito, as I would be eating it on the go. Got out to my car and nearly took it back inside. The burrito was folded in half and impossible to pick up. I decided to eat it with a fork. Taco Del Mar makes a better burrito. This place is no more than gringo strip mall Mexican food. Pretty sad. Try rolling a burrito and wrapping in in an aluminum wrapper like everyone else. Won’t be back. It also tore up my stomach. One positive: the habanero sauce was great. You certainly needed it to make the burrito edible.

Fantastic meal! I had beef tacos, rice and beans. The beef was plentiful and very flavorful and the rice and beans were well above average. The staff were friendly. I would highly recommend coming in for a meal.
