Crap, from start to finish, this was not the experience you would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. To begin with, we were never offered a wine menu. We ordered cocktails, a cosmopolitan martini, it’s really cranberry juice with a splash of vodka. Hardly a drink. Lobster al forno appetizers very small with too much garlic. Ok, onto main dishes. One grouper, one, rainbow trout, one steak 5 oz and one scallop scampi. The presentation for all dishes was unappetizing, blah, at best! One decent highlight, the bread. Oh, and the company we dined with, 5 stars!

Such a nice fine dining experience. The staff is always top shelf. I usually prefer another local for steak, but the ribeye had a great flavor and was cooked to perfection. The stuffed sole was very good also. The lobster bisque was so-so, but the mushroom Brie was yummy. Raspberry and strawberry cheesecake were both done well. Alway, always a great dining experience.

Moved to the Villages 11 years ago. Nancy Lopez CC was the best then and still is! It is a favorite for the Morning Rotary Club of The Villages. Don’t ever change! Nancy Cowell

Visited again and had a Swordfish from the specials menu. It was prepared with spinach, bacon, and Gorgonzola cheese. Absolutely delicious!

I hoped for a lot more! When we arrived at 3: pm on a Sunday afternoon we found out instead of a late lunch we would have to wait an hour for a dinner seating to be started. We sat and had drinks waiting for dinner, not happy! When dinner service started we got seated in a porch setting overlooking some of the golf course and began being peppered with flies that finally left half way through dinner. We opened our menu’s and I was shocked at the prices and I wasn’t even paying. I ended up going with the waiter’s suggestion of a Pork Chop marinated overnight in a lavender marinade served over a bead of apples and sauce. He recommended it cooked medium which I went with. The meal was one of the cheaper selections at $ 18.90. The waiter asked if we wanted a garden or caesar salad with our meal and having seen a note earlier that salads were $ 4. with an entrée, I thought maybe I was mistaken so I asked for a garden salad with Balsamic Vinaigrette. It was a terrible salad with romaine lettuce and what looked like canned diced tomatoes. While waiting we enjoyed the soft breadsticks. When our dinners arrived the pork chop looked huge! It was served with mashed potatoes and zucchini that were really good. The pork chop however was overdone making it dry and I couldn’t taste any marinade as it was almost flavorless. After salting it for taste it was so dry I couldn’t eat anymore of it! The meal I had was a big disappointment and hated that someone paid that much for it and the salad was an extra $ 4. I don’t understand the ratings for this place being so high! The flies did find another place to go after a while.

Great food, great service. Here’s a tip: go at 8pm and save yourself a wait, the wait can be long at times.

If you are going to visit a country club restaurant in The Villages, so far this is the one I’ve found to be the best. The servers are great(very patient as they are used to catering to an older clientele) and the food is pretty solid although nothing to write home about. The big gripe I had was with the drinks. I ordered their signature margarita and it tasted like mixer+sugar with tequilla, it just was not good. I rarely send things back, but I did with that drink and ended up just getting a reliable vodka tonic.

I went to a wedding here last night and everything was spot on. The service was quick and friendly. The food was some of the best I’ve had in a while. I got glazed salmon. The boyfriend got the filet and said it was perfect. The crustless cheesecake was also phenomenal!

One of the high-end fancy restaurants in the Villages. It serves up very traditional fare in a very traditional country club space. The service is friendly though they aren’t really into talking about the food much here. The cranberry and walnut salad with blue cheese is a generous full portion and good to share. The tomato salad napolitano(essentially a caprese salad) was ok as the tomatoes were super cold and muted any flavours that were there. The Blanco y Negro is their 8 ounce fillet served with a peppercorn sauce was good though the sauce was a bit light in flavour. The rack of lamb was good but the mint jelly was not a fave of mine. The veggies were not very well seasoned. Plating is very blah as there were no real colours on the main and everything looked a bit drab. But the lava cake and the banana foster which was flambeed in front of you were both really great.

I have upgraded my review to 5 stars based on the last 2 lunch visits. I had turkey sandwich on raisin walnut gread and a bread boule soups(Gouda). Both outstanding and fairly priced. Ambience is excellent and is matched by the service. Keep in mind, this is NOT a Michelin 5 star restaurant but a 5 star for regular people!!! I definitely recommend this restaurant.

The Legacy is in the Nancy Lopez Golf and Country Club in The Villages and is open to the public(a reservation is a must). The décor is outstanding with a great view of the golf course. Nancy should be proud of this place. The lobster bisque is wonderful — -lots of lobster chunks and a nice tasty kick. I also ordered the veal & wild mushroom meatloaf and it is the best meatloaf I have had in years — and the portion is hugh, really two meals if you want to make a meatloaf sandwich for lunch the next day. My wife ordered the Tuscan vegetable pasta with shrimp and it too was great. Mercedes, our wait person did an elegant job for a table of seven. One of the friends we were with ordered the lobster puffs and gave me a taste — they were excellent. I don’t think you can go wrong here with any menu choice. All of us shared a chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream and it was a fitting conclusion to a great evening. We all left happy.

This place is a family favorite, we go here for my grandfathers birthday almost every year and we always have a good time. First thing is the atmosphere is excellent here, beautiful location and a lively happy hour. While I didn’t particularly care you can get top shelf drinks half off. The martini I had was okay, it was some specalty martini that was supposed to be raspberry vodka and pineapple juice but there was absolutely no pineapple flavor. This place is definetly for the livelier older folks for happy hour. Dinner was excellent, our waiter was knowledgable and quick. We were a party of 9 and everyones dish was perfect. I had the hawaiian chicken for my meal with a salad that had a mango balsamic dressing that was simply amazing. I also had some of the lobster al-forno for an appetizer while it was small it was very good.
