Worst nightclub ever. Management is horrible and bartender was slower than anyone I have ever seen. When I finally got her attention she told me I could fucking leave. And her manager stood behind her without any door refund. Strongly do not recommend.

Took my wife here for dinner two nights ago and our waitress was happy and helpful! I was sold at the Complimentary plantain chips. Just a great experience and priced for what one would expect for an upscale place. Tres leche cake… two thumbs up!

My husband and I had Valentine’s dinner here. We received excellent service and the food was outstanding! It was a prix fixe menu; we both chose ceviche to start and we had steak and carnitas for our main courses. Both entrees were cooked to perfection and it was the best ceviche I’ve ever had. No complaints on food whatsoever. I only wish we were seated at a table with a view of the waterway… If you’ve never been, it’s definitely worth a try! Enjoy!

Our team went to Americas for our holiday dinner this year. Always great service and great food. The team of servers were on top of everything. .. Immediately decanted and served a great bottle(s) of wine, requested our appetizer order and asked for our entrees with appropriate time spacing. Sometimes servers interrupt at the wrong time, but this team was very intentional about not being disruptive. They communicated the specials flawlessly and answered all questions(they knew the menu very well). I had the steak(churrasco — delicious as usual) my favorite, and a lobster tail(which was one of the specials). Other recommended dishes /appetizers. .. Lollichops(mini lamb chops), angel wings(lightly fried chicken wings in brown butter), empanadas, sea bass, parrillado(all meat– great if you are on Atkins), short ribs, etc. All good! I highly recommend Americas, latin food in an upscale environment, great service, great quality, consistent and reliable. Thanks for a great evening!

I haven’t been back here for over a year so decided to have lunch here on a Saturday. The place was almost empty with only two tables occupied(later there was a small function in a private room). We had the sea bass and mahi mahi, with dessert was the delirio de chocolate. OK, the good comments: Hostess was pleasant, table was good(restaurant was empty so we had our pick), cappuccino was very good. Sea bass chileno was good. Dessert was huge serving and a bit too sweet but satisfactory. Negative comments: Waiter(C. Guerrero) — Poor English, sullen, attentive only to my husband(I guess he’s presumed to be the paying guest), ignored the only lady at the table(me), kept handing the heavy plates to me instead of setting down on the table, ignored my thanks while saying«my pleasure» when my husband thanked him. He didn’t know what came with the sea bass and was absent most of the time, especially when we wanted the check. In all, an unpleasant and inept waiter. The mahi mahi came out bland and barely warm. For an almost empty restaurant, one would expect much better service and food. So disappointing. To add final insult, the valet was nowhere to be found and we had to wait to get our car. Needless to say, we won’t be back.

Went to Americas for Thanksgiving Brunch! This was a huge disappointment. The food was cold and all of the meats from the carving stations were tough and extremely bland. I should have stayed home! Other than that… Our drinks and service were excellent. The cranberry cinnamon sangria was really good. We sat in the upstairs bar area. Corbin did an amazing job he was very attentive and kept our glasses full!

This place is absolutely not safe if you have a severe food allergy. I notified the waiter on arrival of my allergy(when he was taking our drink order) Before ordering the appetizers I asked again and confirmed that they were not fried in the same oil as my allergen. Was assured they were not. When the appetizers arrived, along with a different waiter I asked again, just to confirm… Again… This time, I was told yes they were all cooked together with the allergen. Really. Well ok. So we again stated clearly that I have a severe allergy. I did not eat the appetizers. Next came the salad. Should be fine except that it had a price of FRIED something in it as garnish. So, I ask the waiter. He «goes to check». Sure enough, he comes back and collects my plate to bring a new salad. That’s 2 times now. Finally, my main dish arrives in which the meat had been prepared in a separate pan, rather than grilled as requested. That was a win. BUT, right next to my carefully«separately cooked» meat was a bunch of grilled veggies… Which I had already been told«all grill together with my allergen» when asking about the safety of the steak and subsequently requesting a separate preparation. Nice. If I hadn’t been with friends, I would have walked out. I was polite the entire time. I was VERY clear. My husband was VERY clear. There was NO excuse. The negligence at this establishment is ridiculous and frankly dangerous. I had an epi pen in my purse,(or I would have walked out regardless of the company) If you have an allergy– DONT eat here. Seriously. No amount of communication will ensure your safety. I would have thought that being a more expensive establishment, there would be some kind of quality control system in place or at least reasonably responsible people tending to your food. Not so. It’s dangerous.

Don’t eat here on Mother’s Day! The food was Served in a buffet style only. No ordering off the menu. All of the food in the buffet was dry and old. My party of 13 left as fast as we came in. I had always wanted to try this place out. What a disappointment!

Américas Woodlands is a disappointment compared to the River Oaks location. Perhaps that’s where we went wrong, thinking the quality would be consistent from one location to the other. But if fast food chains can get it right, you’d think a place like Américas could, too. We ordered the ceviche sampler, steak, sea bass, corn, and one cocktail. The server was honest from the start, telling us it was her 2nd day being a server. So… no stars off for her; everyone has to learn somehow. But: minus one star for giving her tables that were both indoor and outdoor and far away from the places she needed to be. The steak was perfect. Granted it came out 45 minutes after we ordered it, so the kitchen had plenty of time to get it right. Probably they had 5 opportunities to properly prepare an 8oz steak medium rare in that time frame, so I appreciate it coming out just right. The sea bass however, was dry and was missing the risotto. The corn was cold, as was the plate of plantains, yucca, rice, and lentils. The ceviche wasn’t bad, but we’ve had better(in River Oaks for example). The drink was fine. Overall, a mediocre to poor experience. For the price, you’re better off spending your money elsewhere.

I came here to celebrate a friends birthday. The club and restaurant had no air conditioning. We arrived at 2030 and did not even get our order placed until after 2100. Our waiter was slow. We got our soup and salad at 2130 and are main course at 2200. The waiter forgot our deserts first only bringing everone elses around 2230 then mine around 2245. The food was great. I started with Cubana soup, then I had the Lomo Y Mar for a main course. The desert was vanilla ice cream with coconut(which I hate) because the ran out of chocolate. The club was small about the size of my bedroom. But there was at least 50 people crammed into the room. With very little light, most of the light came from the street lights outside you could not people watch or dance much since you could not see. I just hope the birthday girl had fun as I found this place a great disappointment.

Worst service by far with our waiter. — forget our drinks — forget our steak knife — forget our side dishes — forgets to bring a serving spoon for the sides — doesn’t refill my ice tea — forgets to bring our starter I hate to be rude, but this might not be the right career for him.

By far the best everything!!! Our server Carlos was great, didn’t miss a beat on anything! Way to go Carlos! Ceviche was light, fresh and simply delicious. Paella was amazing! Haven’t had one like that in forever! We shared(2 people) and believe me it was enough for three! Churrasco was out of this world! So juicy and tender, never have I had one like this! Didn’t try the land or tuna but my friends said they were delicious! I would definitely come back, it was a great experience!

I went here to celebrate my boyfriends birthday on a Sunday afternoon. To our surprise it was still during their weekend brunch! For $ 35 you have the best selection of seafood, beef, pork and assorted sides(veggies, plantains, salad, rice, paella, desserts…). I usually cant eat enough to justify buffet prices, but with the selection and how wonderful everything was 35 dollars seemed reasonable. They also have an unlimited drinks option during brunch. If you only want one drink this is expensive at 12.95 but for more than one it also seems reasonable. The sangria was wonderfully sweet! The one thing we had a small issue with was the service. We left to get food and when we came back discovered our table had been cleared. Our waitress wasnt anywhere to be found at the beginning so I had to bother a different waitress to get our water, silverware, and napkins. Our first drinks also took about 20 minutes to come out. Despite this we still had a great time and left very full!

Went to America’s to check out their«Social Hour» and was really impressed. You have a choice or sitting upstairs in their comfortable lounge/bar area or downstairs on the patio. Beer, wine, and cocktails are available as well as small plates. Fried plantain chips and dipping sauces are also available to munch on. Our bartender was attentive and knowledgeable about wines. I had an excellent mojito. The beef empanadas are delicious, but the angel wings were barely a bite of chicken. I definitely want to return on a Friday or Saturday night when upstairs turns into a dance club.

The happy hour(named Social Hour) is 4−7p and is amazing! $ 7 select cocktails and wine; $ 3 select beers — the Pimm’s Cup was great. Pimm’s liqueur, citadelle with lemon lime soda is just so refreshing. My companion loved his Whiskey Sour. Then the food — «small plates» are a mere $ 7 and include scrumptious smoked lamb lollichops that are melt in your mouth tender and juicy with so much flavor packed in your want a second plate! The Empanadas, Ceviche, and Churrasquitos are also not to be missed. And, at these low prices, plan on getting several different plates and sampling! You won’t be disappointed. They offer valet parking at the door or several garages nearby. The waterway down the stairs is a great post dinner walk with sparkling lights offering a nice ambience.

We had our Thanksgiving meal here this year. It was an all you could eat buffet with drinks being an extra charge. They actually seated people downstairs and upstairs till the latter seatings. I really enjoyed the combination of the North and South American foods. They had a whole large roasted pig which could of been a bit more tender but it was still good and I was happy because I was craving it. The large roast was medium to medium rare. They also had a lamb roast and churrasco meat with 4 sauces. They had a ham but it was more like a pre made ham roll. I didn’t see a turkey but we were at one of the later seatings. The paella with mussels and sausage was very good. The fresh fish ceviche, raw salmon and shrimp were all very good also. Plantains, empanadas and a variety of yummy South American sides were available along with some traditional and gourmet type American sides. The usually omelette bar was available. They had run out of the mashed potato bar, stuffing and gravy which are my faves :(. Everything else was plentiful and constantly being restocked. Salad bar had an awesome cilantro dressing. The dessert area was limited to a few desserts but they were very good and not the typical cookie cutter Thanksgiving buffet desserts. Our waiter was awesome with the drinks and brought us out a special dessert. Would of given 5 stars if they had not run out of the mashed potato bar, stuffing and gravy. The manager I spoke to when making the reservation promised me they would not run out of anything for the later seatings.

The family and I came here for my birthday brunch. I enjoyed it as there were so many different options and the food was delicious! The waiter was also very personable and kind. We had to track him down a couple of times but it was expected since we had such a huge party. Great for groups or intimate parties.

Houston restaurant weeks! When you come in, you are walking through the bar area, then walk downstairs to be seated at your table. Great ambiance! A little noisy though. Plaintain chips and dip: 3 sauces, all are good, I used that spicy sauce and dripped a little on my fish taco, it added more flavor and spice. The lighter cream colored dip taste like very fine blended chickpeas. The other is green and herby, good stuff! First course: –Angel wings, are pretty small but taste good! –Fish tacos, they’re on a smaller tortilla so don’t be alarmed! Add some red sauce for more flavor! –chicken empanadas, they cut it in half, you get two empanadas! They’re placed on a little bit of guacamole. There not bad, crispy .me likey! Again add red sauce for more flavor. Second course: –Churrasco 8oz, it was good, no complaints! Comes with chimichurri sauce on top. –chicken dish(I forgot what it was called) I enjoyed tks dish, the chicken was really crispy though! I would’ve preferred more sides with this dish. I felt like it was missing something on the side. Third course: –kettle corn tres leches: WAYTOOSWEET. me no like! Your waaaay better off with the original tres leches! –tres leches, it was good the marshmallow on top was very creamy and sweet. But not too sweet like the kettle corn tres leches. –chocolate cake, taste creamy in the middle not two sweet. But it taste like a big double chocolate layer candy bar! –not sure exactly what the other desert. was called, but they’re like little delicious cookies. Side dish: veggies, rice, beans I think. quinoa?, I don’t think this was enough veggies for a veggie plate. I went here for a HRW family dinner, so I got to try a little bit of everything! Beautiful view! 4 starts because we keep having to ask for things, people came around to fill our waters, but often we had to ask for refills for all of our drinks(not just water guys) Valet cost $ 12! Go to valet at Morton’s for $ 6 if you can’t find parking! Enjoy Unilocalers!
