I heard about The Invitation Spot from a friend. I had the layout I wanted and wondered if they could do it. They tweeked it a little and it turned out beautifully. When I have need to do this again I will definitely use The Invitation Spot. They were professional and easy to work with.

This business is without a doubt the worst I’ve ever dealt with. We ordered wedding invitations on a Saturday(May 14). We were told that we’d have proof within 3 business days. On Tuesday I received a call from Laura, the owner, insulting the layout I had chosen. I said that I’d like to keep it how I noted on Saturday, when I spent hours carefully deciding and describing what I wanted. I felt offended by her tone, but chose to give her the benefit of the doubt and wait to see the proof. Wednesday came and went and I hadn’t received a proof. I called the store on Thursday asking it was ready. Laura wasn’t in but would call me right back. She left a voicemail on Thursday, May 19 at 3:28:05PDT explaining the delay was caused by moving the motif — something I did not ask for. I received the proof at 3:54:33PDT on Thursday, May 19. I was shocked to see the proof changed to the way she wanted it and not how I had requested during my store visit. On Sunday I emailed my adjustments to the proof and asked why the motif placement was changed. She quickly responded and said that she«did not understand.» After a few more attempts at explaining how I wanted it, I felt frustrated and decided to cancel the order. I am planning a wedding and should be enjoying this process. It was becoming quite a headache dealing with Laura. I was annoyed that she wasn’t punctual in delivering the proof and that she didn’t seem to ever be listening or paying attention to what I wanted. I emailed and asked to cancel the order. Then her correspondence halted for the day. Then on Monday, the 23rd, I called the store to cancel the order. Noelle said she understood, offered some advice on other places to buy paper and the best way to print our own. I then emailed Laura and said that my mom would be in to pick up a receipt for the refund later that day. Laura then had Noelle respond and say that there are no refunds, we’ll have to work it out. I called the store again, Noelle said Laura was«walking around the mall» and would call me back. I said that I’d like to hear from her as soon as possible, suddenly Laura was right there and got on the phone. I began to explain my frustration with the delay and her lack of communication skills, and she spoke over me and didn’t listen to a word I said. Finally I asked if she was always this rude in speaking over her clients and if she cared that she had a customer that was extremely unhappy? She said that we’ve paid either way, we can work with her or not. I posted a review on this website warning other against this woman and her business. She then emailed me and accused me of slander. Moments before she told me that I’d be getting a proof today whether I liked it or not. Which is funny, because I cancelled the order so many times I felt like a broken record. Never in my wildest dreams could I have pictured dealing with such a disaster. Needless to say we won’t be using this business and I would recommend people stay as far away as possible. Also note that the policies listed on the website don’t cover all types of orders, but no one will tell you that when you place your order. And if you call to discuss, like my mother did, Laura chose to blatantly lie about when I received a proof and let her know that customers had been listening in on our phone calls. We cancelled our order, as of now Laura has our money and won’t issue any sort of refund. I never thought a business would keep an unhappy customer’s money, especially when the customer had never approved a proof.

Initially they seemed more than helpful, but after they made four revisions due to their spelling and color errors, I think it would have been easier to make 200 invitations myself. Aubergine is not brown. Huge mistake.

if i could give this place 0⁄5 stars i would. pros: — quick: i came in on a thursday, picked out what i wanted my invitations to say and what font i wanted. got a proof the next morning, and they were ready for pick up friday evening.(please note: i only needed 40 invitations). cons: — service: maybe i came at a bad time. maybe i needed an appointment. maybe they were busy. im not sure, but i was pretty much left on my own. they handed me some papers with invitation wording examples and had me pick one out(which i wanted since i had no idea what to put on the invites). then they handed me a paper with different fonts and had me pick a few out. … while i dont mind the process itself, i just felt that the staff was EXTREMELY uninterested in helping us out. i felt like i was intruding on their time. what rankled me the most was how unhelpful they were. since my invites were extremely bare bones, i asked if they had any designs on file that i could add to printing to make the invitations a bit more interesting. the owner seemed confused(or pretending to be confused?) and didnt know what i was talking about. when i emailed her a few examples she said she didnt have anything like it. how is that possible??? for a place that prints invitations, shouldnt they have a plethora of files to choose from? maybe it would have cost more money? i would have been willing to pay a bit more to get what i wanted, but no mention of it ever came. she just wanted me out of there. regardless, i did get my invites. … but would i come again? NONONO. i think i could have done a much better job on my own and having kinko’s print everything. i wish i had had the time to cancel my order!
