Thousand Oaks Unocal

This gas station relies on its solid location at Arboles and Moorpark Road. Prices are consistently 25 – 35 cents higher per gallon than other stations in the area.
It’s also one of those wonderful places that advertises a price (on the street sign) that is cash only. If you pull up with a debit/​credit card and expect that price you’re going to be sorely disappointed.
Being on a corner location it’s often cramped and difficult to drive around and find a pump.
Overall, plan your day to stop by a different station and save a few bucks. This one is a rip off.

Awful Customer Service: I had two low tires, so I stopped by to fill them up at the air pump. The Manager/​Attendant would not turn on the air machine for me because I was not buying gas that day. I had filled up there 2 days prior, and had spent about $ 250 there in the last month. That was not good enough for him. He said I had to buy EIGHT GALLONS FIRST, and then I would get air today. Though I tried to explain, he wouldn’t reconsider. This is the first station I have ever had deny me air. Even stations where I didn’t buy anything (like Shell on Moorpark/​TO Blvd) have happily turned on the air pump for me. I live just down the street from this 76, but will be taking my business to another station.

The Attendent is rude to everyone, a lot of people agree. Go across the street or to the chevron at Olsen. Not trying to be mean but I had a 76 card and stopped using it because of this station.

Decent gas station. I come here from time to time and everyone seems nice enough. Gas is gas, though, right? At least the place is clean, though I wish they would have better window washer thingys.

I was in trouble one evening with my AudiA4. No one wanted to help me out. The attendant at this Unocal did. My phone died and nobody wanted to help me out so I could call for a pick up. This guy who I didn’t know let me use the store phone to call. I had to leave my car over nite and he assured me that everything would be fine. The next day, I came back for my car and it was still there where I had left it. I thought it would get towed since it wasn’t properly parked… Ok…I guess I wasn’t all there the nite before! Tired… you know? It happens to the best of us! So anyways when I went in to ask for the attendant’s name…(bcuz I forgot it!) they tell me that the attendant that worked last nite was an on call person and they were not too sure of his name. Not sure of who it was? Hmmm… go figure.
