Coconut Asian Bistro

The five star rating, according to Unilocal is «Woohoo! As good at it gets!». In reference to Coconut Asian Bistro, I couldn’t put it any better.
This is, hands down, the best Chinese/​Thai food I’ve had in YEARS. And it’s in the middle of Tifton in the middle of Georgia in the middle of nowhere. Go figure. Lucky Tiftonites!
Like a lot of other reviewers we were passing though, on our way from Florida to Atlanta, needed a place to eat, thinking we’d be stuck with something like Applebee’s, checked Unilocal,saw the reviews and decided to give it a try.
First of all… as one of the quick reviews mentioned… do NOT turn around when you pull into the parking lot. «Curb appeal» (or unappeal in this case) is not indicitive of the inside of the restaurant or the food. Exactly the opposite.
The inside is wonderfully done. Love the waterfall, music, and fish tanks. The only negative are the booth seats… they’re a little saggy.
We split an order of egg rolls. Hand-​made, crispy outside, very tastey Nice side sauce. But they’re small. I’d go one order per person.
I had Pad Thai (hot/​5), and my fiancé had Kung Pao. She liked hers, but I asked for an extra side of oil and peppers to crank up the heat on mine. If you like it hot, order it at a 6+ or ask for the heat on the side. Great stuff!
Everytime we travel between ATL and Ft Myers we try to schedule our lunch or dinner around Tifton so we can take advantage of this wonderful gem of a restaurant and we recommend the same to everyone we know.

Large place with tropical /​Thai décor. Odd spices and ingredients are in museum-​like disp
