Hancock Fabrics

Sometimes I make the trip over here to Hancock Fabrics because I am on a certain fabric quest (if by fabric quest you mean crazed ocd like looking for just the right thing.)
My favorite fabric store in the whole world is Hancock Fabrics of Paducah and the two are not the same in spite of the name. Apparently a while ago relatives disagreed about their direction/​focus and the store in Kentucky went for the quality Quilter market and the other went for the Mass Market.
Hancock Fabrics are great for notions or fabrics for a costume or fun project. Or every once in a while when you are going nuts to find just the right thing. I have also had my machine fixed here, a service I very much appreciate. The store is a bit messy and disorganized at times with run of the mill quality. Sometimes you need top of the line quality and other times you do not. This is for those other times.
Staff is very friendly especially with some of their middle aged fabric crazed customers. (Who, moi?)
