The turtle and white mountain sundaes are awesome! Their ice cream cones are nice size, and the shakes are good. Staff are really nice… owner is there a lot as well. Can be pricey for what you get, but if you go just once in awhile, its not so bad. Pecans are the best ever! Never a bad experience… the one in Perrysburg is great too. *FYI: Cash only

Such a cute, old school ice cream shack tucked in a pretty random, residential area. I was excited the second we pulled into the parking lot on a drizzly summer evening to see the swarm of people still lined up here. Super friendly, primarily high school/college-aged staff. Gargantuan portions. Super great prices. Ridiculous selection. The finished product itself, we got a fruity sundae called the topsy turvy(?), was amazeballs. Will be back over and over and over until they close for the season.

Best ice cream shop ever! You can’t find a place with better ice cream for its value(SOCHEAP!). They have tons of sundae options with cute names and pictures(my favorite is the Buckeye), but actually I always come here for the delicious soft serve ice cream. They have flavors such as chocolate, vanilla, orange, blackberry, and I think a rotating seasonal one. The soft serve servings are HUGE — the«baby» size is probably a large at most places(see the«small» pictured below — $ 1.45). Service is always great as well! FYI: It IS cash only, and the lines start to get pretty long around 9−10pm, but it’s definitely worth the wait!

Great tasting soft serve and good amount for the price. I hate to say it but they have WAYTOOMANYCHOICES on the window and it makes it exceptionally difficult to make a final choice. Pricing is great and the customer service and staff attitudes were great!

They have fruit whip so it is vegan friendly! Absolutely no dairy! The lines usually look long but they go fast. Definitely worth it to go there.

Had to get cash first to try it, but it was amazing! Best sundae ever– buckeye. They chalk it full with goodies! Ordered a medium without knowing how big it was, couldn’t finish it, but low prices so I wasn’t upset. I’ll definitely come back, but order a small next time.

pleasantly surprised at how good the ice cream would be! not extremely expensive like handel’s either. only downside about these big large money maker stands like this is that they do cash only.

Best ice cream in toledo! Don’t forget cash because they do not take credit or debit cars. I have a weakness for swirl twist cones and the ice cream is creamy and fabulous! They have amazing sundaes and flurries and the flavors are endless! Their whipped cream is great… It’s not like traditional whipped cream. It might be made with powdered sugar. You must go now!

If you’re not a local, remember that it’s cash only! The employees are usually quick and very friendly. It’s a lot of high school and college students. It’s the perfect treat on a hot day, and the serving sizes are huge… like seriously ginormous. I always go when I’m visiting home! The sundae sizes are way too big for me, so I ask for what’s essentially a mini version of the mud sundae — a baby/junior vanilla or twist in a cup with fudge and crushed oreos — yum! All the soft serve is really good, but they have tons of options, so everyone will find something they like!

The servings are huge and the prices are low! They have tons of options/different combinations of ice cream and toppings. The ice cream is very creamy. I’ve loved everything I’ve tried so far! I only wish they had tables to sit at outside instead of having to stand around or go to your car to eat.

How can you not give 5 stars to Mr. Freeze? Lots of delicious ice cream for not a lot of money. Lines can be long in good weather, but it’s worth it in the end. Also, it’s cash only, so prepare for that before you go. I always get the Oreo Superfreeze!

First, I didn’t see hours posted so I asked and was told: Open Daily: 11am — 10pm, but may be open later if there is demand. Great for soft serve, generous serving sizes, friendly service. There is a huge selection so if you go in a group there should be something perfect for everyone. Plus they give the gigantic large size in a tall narrowish cup which keeps the middle and bottom parts insulated and so is not a giant puddle by the time you get to it(and it fits in the cup holder of your car). Only thing is I wish they didn’t use styrofoam since it’s not biodegradable — or a least provided an option. Other than that it’s kind of the perfect little place to stop off for some ice cream.

This place is truly amazing, and worth every star it’s got! I first discovered Mr. Freeze last summer, when I moved to Toledo. It is awful for my waistline, but that didn’t stop me from going at least once or twice a week. As others have already commented, the portions are enormous and the regular size of some of the sundaes are served in quart containers! Seriously, the quantity is ridiculous. The only thing more surprising than the quantity of ice cream and topping they give you are the unusually low prices. You really have to go there to believe the reviews, but it’s as good as everyone says. When you do go(and you’re crazy if you don’t), do expect lines. But, there’s a reason people are waiting in the lines. Before choosing a line, take a minute to see which ones are moving and which are not… all ice cream lines are definitely not created equal. When you get to the front of the line, be sure you’ve got cash ready, because they don’t take credit. Really, the lack of a credit card machine(which I personally find to be unacceptable these days), is my only gripe about the place. Please start taking credit, guys! Get yourself a free Square dongle and use that! I’ll even give you mine…

Not the best quality ice cream but for the price you can’t beat it. Open seasonally and be prepared to wait. Also CASHONLY! The only place around town that has Fat free ice cream which actually taste good.

Every time I am back in town I stop by for some wow Cow. Wow cow is only 10 – 12 cals per ounce and can be subbed into any sundae. Portions are huge and the price is very good. My favorite sundae by far is the buckeye sundae. Be prepared for long lines almost all the time.
