Their special stuffed hash browns were great but I got a cup of chili and it wasn’t even warm let alone hot. The home fries my hubby got were way over cooked and the pop was flat. Usually their food is really good. Hope it was just an off morning.

My shwarma salad was pretty good, but my husband’s burger came out weird tasting, with a layer of cold bleu cheese sauce.

The food here is consistently great. I like that they offer a limited menu until 12:30 that includes pizza and raps among other things. The half chicken, wings and rueben pizza are all outstanding.

Nick & Jimmy’s is the bomb! Lots of yummy food here and a great beer list too! It’s a small town bar atmosphere and the staff is always cute, quick and friendly! Try the cold hot dip… OMG. And their burgers are flame broiled… they’re amazing. They’re also famous for their hand cut fries which are off the chains! I love me some hand cut fries, don’t you? Soups, chicken chunks, potatoes skins, hand battered mushrooms, Greek salads… I could go on and on! I love you N&J!

I have been to this location many times, I know its a local favorite but I’m just not sure why. The most common thought I have about this place is «why is the menu so big??» there are so many things on the menu that nothing is really done well or the way you want it. alot of the food like the philly chese steak is just dry. I understand expanding your menu to expand your demographic but when you have so many things the focus just becomes fuzzy. The atmosphere is okay, some fun games, typical bar enviroment. huge down side on a hot day is there is no AC. anymore this is a huge deal to me because this place gets HOT during the summer. I have had times where I came here on lunch, the place was empty, and I waited over a half hour to get my water and order… I’m not one to give a bad review, but after so many bad experiences I dont plan to go back.

Always enjoy a gyro from here! Pizza and Burgers are pretty good as well, never tried the breakfasts however. They also have a shuffleboard table which is fun and rare in Toledo. The back room is a great place to watch sporting events! Pretty decent beer selection as well. Bar is also connected to the golf simulator next door now if you’re into that type of thing.

Quesadilla is just one of many amazing food items. After many visits to multiple Nick and Jimmys, I still have never had a bad experience. TV’s and arcade games are in every corner of the room. Jukebox and lively atmosphere are what you can expect at night. Nick and Jimmy’s is a very nice sports bar that is not too expensive hnd has more seating inside than you would expect from the parking lot. Suggestion is to carpool or park nearby.

Nick & Jummy’s is a great spot for good food & drinks. I have never been to a bar that had great food, cheap drinks & a great atmosphere. I love coming here for breakfast, lunch or dinner and never leave disappointed. Service is always awesome. Some of my favs are the pulled pork skins, Boston shrimp, chicken & their pizza is to die for! It’s such a great place, we frequent here often.

A really good spot to enjoy food and drinks. Me and my girl are regulars here, out of all the times we’ve been here we’ve had good service. The atmosphere is cool and everything you’d expect from a bar. The food is awesome! We’ve damn near conquered the whole menu lol. Favorites: IMO they have the best«buffalo» styles wings hands down. Every month they introduce a new burger that’s limited to that month. So far so good! The pizza here is good as well, ordering that as we speak. Try the Boston shrimp, you’ll thank me later. Oh and drinks here are cheap. $ 2 Gin & tonics? $ 3 Rum & cokes. Can’t beat it. Definitely worth a try if your in the franklin park mall area.

It’s a shame because the food is normally really good. Great coffee. The only problem with this place is the waitstaff. They’re horrible and don’t care. I’ve given it chance after chance only to be disappointed with the service.

My review is strictly based on the breakfast. But I will definitely be back to try out other menu items. Lived in Toledo for ten years and never knew that N & J served breakfast. Dropped by there today. Menu had a nice selection. We ordered the Greek omelette, corned beef hash and a short stack of pancakes. The omelette: not sure how they make it, but it seemed like it didn’t have any eggs. It was more of a pancake batter. The«omelette» was stuffed with onions and spinach and topped with feta cheese. Had a side of red skin potatoes with onions and green peppers(that was super delish!) potatoes were crispy and cooked perfectly. Corned beef hash: the corned beef was real corned beef, not the canned stuff you get at other places. Was diced real small with potatoes and onions. It was enjoyable but maybe a bit over cooked? Had a little too much of vinegar flavor to it. Eggs were cooked as ordered which is nice. Pancakes: monstrous! Almost a half inch thick. A bit cakey/bready(I know those are not real words but I couldn’t find any other way to describe them) but tasty. The jams at the table were also good. Not sure if they’re homemade, but they sure tasted that way. Coffee was okay. Had a bit of a cinnamon aroma. Maybe it was just me :) The service: I have to give our waitress an A+. She kept all our cups full. Table clean. And she made sure we were happy the whole time we were there. The whole atmosphere of the place: it’s a bar. Bar floors. Bar bathroom. Bar ambiance! The price: it wasn’t bad for the amount of food we got. Spent a total of $ 23 for everything I reviewed(plus a pop). The reason I gave them a three star is because of the total flavor of the breakfast but other than that I would definitely recommend this place. And I will for sure be going back there again. Update:Came back from lunch. Both hubby and I had burgers. I have to give it to them, burgers are fries were really good. Fresh and cooked perfectly. Nachos appetizer with beef was mediocre. Very stingy on the quantity for $ 5.99. The chips were as stale as a piece of cardboard. Burger price was a bit on the higher side with this fact that this is considered as bar food.

I have been here many nights and a few afternoons, the food is above average and the atmosphere is friendly. the only drawback is the parking situation. They seriously need to double the size of the lot to accommodate a Friday night crowd.

Today is Cinco de Mayo. We usually eat(and drink) Mexican. BUT, today is also Greek Easter. Naturally, I realized that if someone of Greek descent were to eat Mexican food on Greek Easter, a cataclysmic tear in the fabric of the space-time continuum would probably occur. Thus, to ensure the survival of the Universe, I took my lunch break at Nick and Jimmy’s. Just to be EXTRA safe, I ordered a Zorba Burger and a small Greek salad. I’m sure glad that I did, because not only is the Universe still in existence, but also, I had a great meal. The Zorba was cooked to a perfect medium well. It was topped with a creamy yet chunky feta/garlic sauce, onions, lettuce and tomatoes. The«Greek» salad is very far from being a traditional Greek salad, and kinda far from being an American-Greek salad, BUT, it’s still a really good salad. All the veggies(especially the lettuce), not to mention the kalamata olives and feta, were ultra-fresh. In my opinion, freshness-of-ingredients is pretty much the most important property of a good salad. At around 1pm, I’m willing to bet that the most perceptive among you were able to sense that«something was just not right with the Universe.» That’s when I threw caution to the wind, and washed it all down with a Dos Equis. At this point, it’s unclear if my doing so will have any lasting impact on space/time. Big, and for a bar, unique appetizer menu. Great breakfast items. Hell, they have huge menu in general! I’ve eaten here for breakfast, lunch, dinner and«fourth meal,» and I can’t say I’ve ever had anything that I didn’t like. Sorry, no PBR, but go to Nick and Jimmy’s anyhow.

We had not been to Nick and Jimmy’s in quite some time and decided to stop by for some dinner tonight. We had garlic chicken chunks as an appetizer. They were lightly battered and tasty. I also had a cup of their homemade clam chowder, and it was very good. My boyfriend liked his«perfect bar burger» while I went with the salami and cream cheese sandwich. It was served hot, which was a pleasant surprise, and came with chips. We agreed that the value for the money spent was spot-on. All of the food is served on cheap metal plates. I felt like an old timey gold prospector. Nearly every square inch of the bar is covered in advertisements. A neck tattoo touting Danberry Realtors would not have raised eyebrows. Our server, Tiffany, was quick and efficient. We did not have to request refills. We’re going to put Nick & Jimmy’s into regular rotation.

I have to say I have been going into Nick & Jimmy’s for over 30 years. They always had and still have the best burger, the best Greek salad in town. Throughout the years service has been both good and bad but mostly good. The décor hasn’t changed but it doesn’t need to. How many times have heard that about a restaurant. When they opened they were way ahead of the times. My favorite burger has to be the Bacon Mushroom and Swiss burger. It was cooked and seasoned to perfection very juicy. It is as good today as it was the first time I had one in the very early 80’s Kudo’s to Nick! The Greek salad is huge and has ginormous chunks of Feta cheese(I hate tiny fully crumbled feta), great kalamata olives, and a simple but very pleasing vinaigrette. One size great to split. This location should have been in every city like other large chains/franchises. Give them a try. Worth 5 stars but the service sometimes is a pain today’s was just OK but that burger! Yum!!. Most of the cooking is done out in front of the guest. with the grilles off to the side of the bar. They have other restaurants in town that have the same burger but not the same Greek salad.

there is a reason this place has been around so long. the atmosphere is killer, the service is pretty damned good and the food is decent. we’ve tried MANY items off the menu, and have had our hits and misses. but for the most part, they’ve been hits! their burgers are great, as long as you go for wet toppings. their fried veggies are wonderful. they have lots of seafood and sort of leaning towards southern /new orleans options which is pretty great. in general, gravitate towards wet dishes, because at times, if you don’t, food will show up very dry. this weekend i tried their monthly burger special, the«nutty buddy» it was a burger topped with«jalapeño bacon» cheese and peanut butter. it was pretty dry, served on a whole grain bun and definitely lacked flavor. It was desperately in need of some moist toppings to counteract the dry bun and peanut butter(the only condiment.) As is, I would rate it 2 stars out of 5. SO, why am I including it in my 4 star review, or giving them a 4 star review all together? Because THEYTRIEDIT. There are SO few restaurants that take ANY risks in Toledo. Nick & Jimmy’s is one of them. And I commend them on that! They do it all the time, and it’s fucking awesome. We all benefit from their experimenting. It’s pretty much the only place in town I can get green chiles on anything(one of my favorite toppings) and it’s also a restaurant that offers some of the BEST breakfast in the city. Just a note… they are VERY strict on their breakfast hours. SO do some research ahead of time, just so you know what you’re working with. But seriously… they serve some of the best corned beef hash in town. Actually, quite honestly, it’s no question the best in town. Their coffee is also amazing, with a hint of cinnamon. I really think Nick & Jimmy’s is one of the best restaurants in town. Not necessarily just because of the food, which can at times be dodgy, but more-so because they have amazing atmosphere, interesting menu options and terrific service.
