They do everything well at east Front Café: breakfast, coffee, lunch… not a single miss on the menu. And if you enjoy a friendly atmosphere where they treat you like a regular from the first visit on, you’ll really appreciate Sandy and everyone here.

Found this spot on my way to work, was looking for a change of pace from my normal breakfast. I searched Mexican Breakfast and this place looked good. The ladies working there were very nice. I asked about getting rice and beans with eggs and she told me if I call ahead they would accommodate my order. So I’m excited for a return trip. I ordered the Muni Breakfast Panini. Pepper jack cheese, chipotle, spinach, tomato, eggs, and turkey bacon. Wow! The bread was pressed and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Cheesy and full of flavor for about $ 5. I would definitely order it again. They have a few different coffee choices, which is always nice. I got the Sumatra, dark roast. Mmm. Their menu is extensive and looks great. They have a bunch of healthy options and homemade soups. I can’t wait to come back and try more of the options. Right up my alley! Great stuff going on here. Little bit hard to find, had to drive around the block, so GPS it and you’ll have no issue.

I had a Mediterranean wrap and was definitely satisfied, although it was on the small end. But, it came with a bag of chips and an iced tea. The service was also fast and friendly. My only issue with this place was the atmosphere. I think because it has really low ceilings noise reverberates easily. About ¾ of the tables were filled with a lunch time crowd and I could barely hear myself think. The servers had to yell out the names to find the people. If you’re looking for a quiet place to sit down and have lunch, I’d order to go and sit in the park down the street.

place is quite good. Quesadilla are large — can easily split. Food is fresh, staff is bright and cheerful, selection is large. Highly recommended.

This place is solid! It’s within walking distance of work, which is great. It gives off a hole-in-the-wall vibe, but it’s more complex than that: there are couches and a small fireplace in front, which cozies up the whole place. Staff/owners are friendly and helpful. I had a Mexican Wrap — chicken, tomatoes, lettuce, cheese and salsa — with Sun Chips. It was sizable and very tasty. I would have liked to have ordered a panini, since that’s what most people rave about, but honestly, the choices were too limiting for me. Well, I took the advice of another reviewer and didn’t order the tomato mozzarella panini because the tomatoes aren’t in season — but maybe it would have been fine(there were tomatoes on my Mexican Wrap and I have no complaints). I was ordering off the board, and it seemed peppers and onions featured heavily on the other panini. I have nothing against peppers and onions, but I’d like to have seen other options there — zucchini, maybe? Portobello mushroom? I went at the height of the lunch rush, and I’m not a neat-freak, but I felt the place could have been scrubbed down a bit harder. It certainly isn’t dirty, but it isn’t pristine, either. I’m going through the optional survey questions at the bottom of this page and a couple of them deserve explanation: — I hit«no» for table service, even though that’s not exactly true. You order at the counter, and they bring your food to you. — I clicked yes for«kid friendly» but that’s complicated! It’s casual enough, and the turn over is quick — no one could reasonably be pissy if a child got fussy; and the menu is robust enough to include items that may appeal to kids. But it’s not particularly roomy, so it might be cramped for parents with strollers, diaper bags and other kid paraphernalia. The location is in the general State House area — not a neighborhood — so the workers, I suspect, are primarily employed by the State: so I didn’t see any families while I was there. I definitely will be back! I’m looking forward to trying a smoothie!

Great place in downtown Trenton. We both got wraps, the chicken Caesar wrap and the Mexican wrap, and they were perfect for lunch. The service is also great, very friendly and relaxed. Loved the simple and causal atmosphere.

I come here for one thing only — the veggie quesadilla. It is crave worthy, not too cheesy and full of vegetables like spinach and mushrooms that don’t overrule the pancake flat quality necessary for a good quesadilla(there is nothing worse than huge hunks of vegetables in a quesadilla, which eventually fall out of the sides anyway). Parking is tricky, but worth the effort. I also love their iced coffee. Ambience is a combo of homey/artsy-hole-in-the-wall café — great for getting a bit of work done while eating lunch.

This downtown gem is right next to Settimo Cielo, one of the finest restaurants in town. But while a lunch there may easily set you back $ 30+, this comfortable joint is quite reasonable. I paid $ 7 and change for a large vegetable quesadilla. It was flavorful and well cooked, and had a nice veggie selection inside(though canned mushrooms are always a turn off). The menu also features salads(they looked great, that’s what I’m doing next time) and wraps and paninis. If they are as good as the quesadilla then you will be very happy. There was a good crowd coming in and out, and they clearly do a nice takeout business. It can get pretty bleak in this part of town(unless you want to go to Settimo and spend a fortune!), so do yourself a favor and join the crowd.

Great spot if you are in the Trenton area. Clean and very friendly. Good mixture of panini’s, wraps, and pita sandwiches. Very good for breakfast and coffee. Nice seating by the window. Small space but they maximize seating. Overall very nice people, good food, decent prices for a change of pace

It was just OK. Stopped in for a late lunch only because we were in the area and looking. Slightly dirty feeling to the entire place but I got over that. I had a chicken panini which was very good. Standard fare is sandwiches, salads, wraps and bags of chips. Not bad, just not really a great place. Think I’d try another place if I was in the area again.

Woo-hoo! A healthy place for lunch in Trenton. Trenton has slim pickings-basically pizza, delis, Chinese, etc that it’s nice to see a place offering salads, sandwiches, paninis, and smoothies. My strawberry chicken salad was a reasonable portion for $ 7 and came with a side of SunChips. The salad dressing was amazing-som sort of poppy seed, sugar, oil concoction that went excellent with the strawberries and nuts.

Regular coffee’s not bad, and there’s a case with bottled drinks and canned sodas available for ~$ 1.50. Prices are a few dollars above fast food. The place is small and cozy, with warm, efficient, and friendly service. The panini bread is delicious, which is fortunate because the fillings are pretty scant; that might have just been the veggie version, though. Warning: don’t buy anything that depends on tomatoes outside of tomato season, as they’re pale, limp, and flavorless. Still, the rest was tasty, and a filling and somewhat healthy meal for the cost of hourly minimum wage is a pretty good deal.(Side note: yay Sunchips!)

I Freekin love this place!!! The panini’s are delish!!! The best one is the spicy chipotle chicken!!! Yum! They also have really good salads! The best item on the menu however, is the Hawaiian-Coconut Coffee! Never had a bad cup of coffee from this place. I work in Trenton, so whenever I forget my lunch, I head over to this place.
