I know Sears and Kmart are shutting down a lot of their stores, but it seems like the remaining few kmarts have just given up trying. This place is a good example. Sparsely stocked shelves with a good variety of random products make a short visit pretty much impossible, it’s more like a seek and find. Same with staff should you require any assistance. In men’s wear be sure and check the actual labels on stuff as they use random hangers. When selecting what was labeled an XL shirt there was obviously something off, as it was XL maybe to an elf. Turned out to be a small on an XL hanger. Obviously a difference there, but L to XL or XL to XXL might sneak by.

yes, this kmart is sad. It’s really gone downhill. I only go because I live nearby. I don’t know how they stay in business, it’s never that crowded. probably why they only have 2 registers open. and the prices really are higher compared to walmart.

This place is such a hit or miss. The store itself is good when you need to pick up something quick and cheap, but that’s it. I don’t know what it is about Kmart but it seems to attract the trashiest human beings in all of Central NJ. It is really hard to concentrate on what you need when you have 20 year old girls with an obviously great future ahead of them shouting shouting inside the store«I don’t need to wear underwear cuz I GOTITLIKETHAT»(yes that really happened) and people walking around the store looking they just left their drug rehab facilities. People will cut you in line like it’s nothing, and if you are female with a heartbeat be prepared to get hit on by the homeless looking men while their wives backs are turned. I don’t know where these people come from because this is a pretty decent area in Hamilton. Also, what Brian N. said about the lines is true. They have a huge front end with many registers but only two open at any given time. Ever heard of that site People of Walmart? I think our local Kmart should have its own version.

3 stars, as far as Kmarts go… I’ve come to not expect much from Kmart over the years because 1. they’re kinda sparse these days/not one close 2. their service has become so sub-par 3. so many things are over-priced — hello? this is Kmart My recent move last year has landed me just up the street from a Kmart, which I have come to frequent randomly. Eh, it’s Kmart, so of course there’s nothing to get excited about, but it has come through for me an many random occasion for a bargain on a necessity. Some of the random things I’ve been happy to pick up here: –white latex caulk in a tube –a couple mock tutle necks –GFK — Big Doe Rehab CD –xmas wrapping paper –xmas cards –Vtech educational toy –hornet spray –leather gloves –framed artwork –cargo straps –ping pong balls –candles …you get the idea. Never anything major. I would never buy regular clothing here, like jeans, button downs, definitely not shoes, and their furniture is ridiculously over-priced for it’s quality. But for the random need, this store has been quite a relief to have so near. The service here, bad. But this is what I’ve come to expect from Kmart. really. A dozen registers with only two open at a time. Ever. And the manager over the cashiers here is so unprofessional, yelling across the store to different workers, talking about what«she ain’t gon’ do…» I just chalk it up to being Kmart. So, while I’m glad it’s there for me, I’m also glad I don’t need more from it, and I don’t need it too often. Kind of like dentist visits.
