We were excited to visit this café on the way to Denver! Great menu and smiling faces. We waited patiently for our order when they suddenly realized they forgot to make the food. Unfortunate. I recommend you go ask if your food isn’t at your table in 10 – 15 minutes.

All over the USA old Main st stores, long empty, are being reborn as good cafes and brew pubs. The Café is one of these. Small menu and well done. The décor is attractive roomy. I see places like this all over with good food and plenty of energy. Keep up the good work!

The Café features an unusually creative menu that makes it difficult to make a choice. The food was as good as it sounded. We will stop again next time through town.

Great atmosphere — Great Food — I don’t think it’s too expensive… But the service sometimes is rough. As soon as that improves, this rating will be changed to 5 stars. There’s a help wanted sign in the window right now, actually — get a job there, someone awesome.

4 stars for tasty but 2 stars because it’s overpriced for what you get which is why I give it three stars. This place is clean not sure about the service. I asked if the salad had arugula and was told it didn’t, but it did. I think I would explore other option if I had to choose again but not a bad place to be.

Amazing food that was obviously homemade. Reasonable price and diverse menu. Fast service and even gave us extra bread.

Food was great. Going to the counter to order wasn’t we we expected but wasn’t too bad. The food was prepared quickly especially considering the quality. Despite not having traditional table service they were very quick. I really enjoyed it, but if your looking for a greasy spoon this is not it.

Stopped here to while away the morning before my departure by train. Pleasant atmosphere with open space, and a place to park my suitcase. I had a serviceable latte and a very tasty croissant. Very French: served heated with a side of fruit jam.

We had to stop and get a lunch on our way to Santa Fe. We stumbled upon this place downtown and tried it. The food was terrific, the service was superb, and the atmosphere and location were all top notch

Bit pricey but the food and coffee were great! Food for 6 came out to $ 70! Really? Portion is bit small but all the greens and food were fresh.

A little pricey for Trinidad(Just under $ 15 for sandwich, salad, soda, chips, and coffee), but totally solid lunch selection and I’m sad I didn’t get to try their breakfast options. The texture of the Baca sandwich kind of threw me off, but it was tasty nonetheless, and I really enjoyed the accompanying house salad. Boylan soda always a plus. service was very quick and courteous. Ambiance is nice casual. Super cute café!

The café is so wonderful. The atmosphere is enchanting and sophisticated, and adds a charm to the downtown that is already a delight to behold. This café far surpasses all the other cafés surrounding it. I got the farmers market wrap, which had a decorative drizzle of pesto surrounding a delicious sandwich. I gobbled that up like there was no tomorrow! The iced coffee is surely a deal you can’t pass up — $ 1.07 for what is almost a Venti at Starbucks. Donny miss this place!

There are very few times in my life that I find it absolutely necessary to review a business. But the café is a dream. I come here every morning without fail. Had a friend visit for 24 hours and we visited 3 times. Go to the café if you want class, good food, and a good time.

This was our second time passing through Trinidad. The first time we went to Café What a Grind and loved it. We wanted to go back there today(5÷25÷15) but they were closed for memorial day. So we swung by the café to see if they were open. They were so we went in. The woman behind the counter suggested the Ave and the Baca. We took her suggestion and ordered a vanilla latte and the truffle chocolate mocha as well. The price was $ 28. A little steep for 2 coffee’s and 2 sandwhiches in my opinion but oh well. We sit down and she brings us our coffees. They are hot, look great, and are served in nice big/wide mugs that I love. We sip on the drinks while we wait for our food. Both are very good. The truffle mocha is(obviously) a more sweet and less of a coffee aficionado drink while the vanilla latte show cased the espresso much better. We enjoyed both. Once our sandwhiches arrived we were a bit disappointed. They looked good but at $ 9.00 a plate they fell a bit flat. I had the Ave and it was a little bit of turkey lunch meat with some strawberry jam and some Mediterranean seasonings. It tasted fine but it was definitely nothing special and not worth $ 9.00. It was so plain I’m not even sure what I would have been happy paying for it; I wouldn’t really ever order something so basic out at a restaurant. I mean you could VERY easily recreate this at home… probably when you’re low on groceries and only have random ingredients left(turkey lunch meat, bread, and strawberry jam). Their other food items didn’t look like much either so if we return I will only get the coffee’s and grab a bite to eat somewhere else. The coffee was definitely 5 stars while the food was 1 star. I’d much prefer going to Café What A Grind if I want food in addition to coffee.

Best breakfast /lunch spot in Trinadad? Could be. Could be. Friendly place right on main street with a couple of umbrella-ed tables in a street-side patio area, so you can watch all the exciting downtown life that Trinidad has to offer. Really well made and well seasoned egg dishes(their egg puffs are neat cupcake-like quiches stuffed with yummy things like green chiles, bacon and cheese) and served with a fresh green salad. A light and delicious lunch, that’s for sure.
