Tulsa’s «eccentric» coffee house. Standard offerings like any other coffee shop, just in a relaxed environment with worn in couches, dangling christmas lights and a guy with a dangling earing playing classical guitar.

Love the chill atmosphere here. The coffee is great and they had a guy playing guitar while we were there. Totally a place you can go to talk with friends and just hang for a while. There are booths, tables, and couches so you have lots of options. I really liked the shabby vibe and relaxed feel.

WARNING: First time here. Coffee tastes terrible. Wanted to exchange it and they refused. Completely rude about it to and unapologetic. I will not be back. And I will make sure that my opinion is heard. Very dissatisfied. Especially since they knew I was a first time customer. Both coffees purchased were poorly Brewed and handled. I do not recommend. Save your money for other venues.

This place is fun and comfortable, weather your playing chess in one of the nooks, or relaxing in the lounge area, it is filled with a bohemian vibe that would take a conversation through various adventure. The coffee is premium quality and the baristas are highly knowledgeable and friendly. I come here to play a board game and drink great espresso. Come in and enjoy :)

Visited Gypsy Coffee House 2 or 3 times now while I’ve been in Tulsa working. I usually catch it on the way out of town as I make my drive back to OKC. Gypsy is in a very old building downtown. If you come in the back way, I’ll be honest… it looks a bit shady. The giant hole in the side of the foundation makes me think twice, but the hole seems to have no bearing on the quality of their products. Every time I’ve visited I’ve had the same thing. Cold Brew is one of those things I’m new to & I really like… especially when its hot out. So far I haven’t been disappointed. Nice, strong, ice-cold coffee! The staff are a bit unusual. First time I went they were friendly & helpful. The last time I was there the girl wasn’t exactly friendly & was more concerned about doing something on her phone that talking with me. That aside, all was good. The inside is basically like an old house with retro furniture and feels like an old grandma’s basement. Probably a cool place to hang out if I had the time.

There has been a lot of negative talk about this place on here, but you have to realize what this place IS and who it is FOR. This a place for high schoolers and college age kids who aren’t quite old enough for the bar scene to come, feel hip, and hang out with their friends. I don’t want to hang out here, but I’m too old for it, in the same way I don’t enjoy going to incredible pizza– but my kids love it! Don’t talk trash about a place just coz it ain’t your scene.

I am not a frequent coffee shop goer… This could have only been my 3 ever coffee house stop ever. For what it’s worth, this small town country boy digs this place. Coffee was hot(yup, just a solid cup of drip… Old school), the server was nice and the atmosphere was fun. I will definitely go back.

I’m honestly really let down. I heard so many great things about this place, but I didn’t experience anything close to it. I payed for an overly priced drink to be given to me in a styrofoam cup, and it wasn’t even good. I don’t mind paying for overly priced anything, but I expected something different, not a styrofoam cup. And I’m a big coffee lover, but I didn’t even finish it. A big let down. FYI about $ 6. However, they did have live music and the atmosphere was really chill. A lot of older people. The décor was really outdated, but I think they are going for the right idea. They do have guest wifi but it’s locked. I plan on giving this place a second chance sometime in the future, but I rate this place a C– for now.

Loved this little dimly-lit cove of a study place. Really it is perfect for studying — kind of that gritty, gypsy, cold place where you really do need the lamps that are on the booth tables and maybe a light that you bring on your own. It is the type of place you’d expect to find hookah, but I don’t think they have that. The space is pretty big as well, and there’s a room with pillows. Okay, it wasn’t really cold, but it had a cold kind of feel, like you’d want to bring your cozy things and the people there would be mighty fine with that. Kind of a laid-back, anything goes place. I was über hungry, and they gave me a generous portion of their«power bar,» which was something I might make at home — a raw mixture of oats, chocolate, peanut butter, etc. So delicious. I wish every café would have food that I would make at home. I also had a moroccan mint tea latte and my friend at a pizza flatbread thing. It was all pretty high-quality, and the person working there was really authentically nice. It is weird — like all the people in Tulsa are mindful and conscious and wonderful. Anyways, if you need to get some serious studying done, this is the place to get down and do it.

I likes. Super cool feel to this place. I could hang out here all night. They’re playing Chicago blues. Coffee is good and the vibe is even better. An out of the way joint you discover like an oasis in the desert.

ya know. I went here the other night for the second time and just wasn’t thoroughly impressed. the coffee was okay, but I just didn’t dig the atmosphere. I had been once during the day after work and it was fine, but at night, the place just had a different — not as pleasurable, maybe a little bit creepy — vibe. also, I am mid twenties, and I felt a bit out of place that evening. pretty sure the rest of the Gypsy population was either in high school or freshman college students. not for me. the location is cool though. downtown close to Guthrie Green. there are tables to drink your coffee outside. just not my kinda vibe. the place was packed on a Saturday night, though, so they’ve got some strong followers probably won’t be back here again with so many other good coffee spots in Tulsa.

The place where people go to have an excessive amount of eye sex. I have never seen so many pillows in one place in my entire life. Bad coffee, bad employees, bad atmosphere, great place if you want to feel like genie in a bottle.

I love this place! I have been here numerous times to be entertained on Poetry Night! Yeah, especially when I went through some very serious traumatic times from 2008 – 2011. This was the potent hot chocolate to warm my entire being. My favorite thing to order over there are their croissants that I love to smother with butter. Although I am a poet myself, I came to listen and be entertained while licking my emotional wounds. The staff members at this place are wonderful. I felt comfortable and right at home. Open mic poetry night is very entertaining. Some of the poets are very witty, too! Although it may take some time before I get the nerve to finally do an open mic session myself, I will continue to visit and enjoy my favorite croissants with butter.

Coffee, tea, sweet treats quiche and culture thrive here at the Gypsy! Tucked away in an unassuming warehouse in downtown Tulsa, is this gem. The atmosphere is totally coz, comfortable and inspiring to get stuff done on a computer, read, a book, knit, etc. There are nooks galore of couches, chairs and booths. Looseleaf tea and teabags are an option with lots of flavors; my favorite is the peppermint. The coffee I’ve had here is more on the mild side but gets the caffeine job done. Pastries and quiches are a must — homemade and you will enjoy every bite!

We were traveling through Tulsa and needed to stop somewhere with wifi. This was an easy off and back on from the interstate. And they had free wifi! This place was super cute inside. Loved my chai tea latte and we had done really yummy flatbread. Wish I lived nearby, I’d definitely be a regular.

Gypsy is kooky and laid back, the food is good, and the coffee is excellent. Not much else to say about it. Cute patio spaces. Lots of extra cool points for the ghosts that reportedly haunt the building.

Couch surfing to the melody of the open mic pianist on a Tuesday night. It’s no Sochi winter Olympic final in men’s moguls, but it’s easily the best thing to do on a work night. I happened onto this spot after a friend of a friend of a friend of a friend… of a colleague mentioned it through the grapevine. Ok, that’s actually false. My girlfriend was grabbing lunch at Laffa and the bartender mentioned it to her. She came traipsing back home giddy with plans for a Tuesday night — and I took her up on the plan. Definitely happy with our decision! Now back to the aforementioned, Winter Olympics trumping, open mic bit. They have a signature Café Mocha that hit the spot. It was served in one of those embellished coffee cups that you would find in a Pixar Movie — where the cute cuddly hero falls in and almost drowns. I kinda wished I could have jumped into that Mocha. It was piled with whipped cream and this chocolate drizzle… Mmmmmmm Drizzle. The place is very, exposed industrial concrete meets ethnic hipster grunge [no such thing exists– but that string of adjectives appealed to me]… in short, it’s a standard comfy coffee house for artists. Which kinda explains the colorful troupe of characters that showcased the night. I definitely intend to return during the day to just sit back and grab lunch. It’s just far enough away from all the yuppie downtown corporate stooges; but also close enough for this corporate stooge to return back to work without having to stray too far from downtown. Personally — I like the atmosphere and the workers. Very sociable and inviting atmosphere and not at all packed. I guess a few more trips will be needed to get a full verdict; but for now I really dug the place as a tuesday night hangout.

There is trendy and cool and then there is this place, which is just sort of trendy… not cool at all, especially if you were unfortunate enough to visit the men’s restroom. The whole building just had a very unclean vibe about it, and I was questioning if I should eat anything that wasn’t prepackaged. I like the color scheme and ambiance of the place to a degree, but being vintage does not give you an excuse to not clean ;p I ordered an iced coffee and turkey croissant sandwich that came with ruffles potato chips and a funky tasting pickle. The sandwich was… a sandwich, not great but not bad either. Needed some mayo. The iced coffee was dribble though! For a coffee shop, i was expecting something exceptional, but it tasted like it had been on the burner for days. I had to add a lot of creamer and artificial sweetener to make it drinkable. The price was pretty steep for the type of food you get as well. We won’t be going back here anytime soon. To leave things on a positive note, they DO have FREE parking! Woo-hoo! that’s a rarity at a restaurant in downtown Tulsa, so kudos to them for providing that.

Stopped in for a sandwich before the Art Crawl last week. The staff was friendly, the place was decently busy, and my wrap was fine, but nothing too special for the price. $ 18 for a bottle of water, a sandwich, a wrap, and an iced coffee… i’m not expecting them to give stuff away but my husband’s sandwich was mostly bread. And he said the iced coffee tasted bad before he added sweetener(he doesn’t usually add sweetener to ANY coffee). At least the drinks were cheap! I used to come to this place all the time 10 years ago but i’d also never ordered anything but fancy, sugary coffee drinks. Sucks growing up lol.
